  • GUANGZHOU, China Has The LARGEST Market in the WORLD - We had always heard so much about Guangzhou, China being the factory of the world so we had to come check it out.
We were shocked to see just how much stuff was on offer and the variety was simply incredible. We did not expect to see so many things at such affordable prices and would highly recommend a trip here as one of the top things to do in Guangzhou, China.

Shamian Island in Guangzhou was once a concession occupied by imperialist powers, serving as a witness to a century of humiliation in China. We preserve these buildings to constantly remind ourselves that backwardness invites aggression. We, the Chinese people, must strive to strengthen and build a prosperous new China.

Original Lanzhou ramen is a true authentic ramen; all ramens in Japan are not, since ramen is prepared by hand pulling the noodle, but "ramens" in Japan are made by machines, the sellers of ramen in Japan should stop using the name "ramen" (hand-pulled noodle) because it's misrepresentation.

Many Japanese ramen restaurants all over the world, not just the ones in Japan are still using the Chinese script (Hanji) name 拉麵 for ramen. This term 拉麵 (ramen) can only mean one thing, noodle made by hand pulling, but Japanese restaurants are using this term to sell noodle that is not made by hand pulling but made by machines. No Chinese noodle restaurant in China dares to use this term 拉麵 to sell noodle that is not made by hand pulling, because everyone in China knows what's 拉麵 (ramen).

20 mins in and I thought taz would break the budget before libby would get her shoes 😅
if you guys were in china the first week of may, that would explain the crowds - national holiday
the main reason why china had a bad rep in terms of quality in the past was because the importers(like walmart as an example) demanded low prices. I worked with an importer way back then and we would pressure the manufacturer for lower prices. we got our prices but ended up with thinner fabric and smaller sizes 🤣. the big brands have merchandisers so anything that doesn't make quality control gets rejected and end up at some of these markets. it depends, some are just fakes but some are the real deal. manufacturers often make 5% or more than the quantity ordered just in case some get rejected by quality control.

China just offer options for relatively lower income people a chance to have a better life. Very objective. Respect 🫡

In the Guangzhou clothing wholesale market, there are only samples in the stores, so there won't be too many sizes in stock. The purchaser will purchase a large number of samples, and the boss will decide which ones to purchase or make according to the requirements, and then mail them in large quantities for transactions. It is interesting that the majority of people who purchase foreign branded clothes are foreigners.

Most Chinese people prefer to shop for local brands online because the prices are more affordable, and it only takes 1-2 days to arrive. The size and design of local brands are more suitable.

To buy genuine sports shoes, it is recommended to go to a specialty store, not to the whole sale market, the quality cannot be guaranteed

The bargaining is always an option when someone tells u the price on calculator or something like that.
But still a lot of fun ❤❤❤

@@sunkissedbucketlistI guess what the person is trying to say is that the food is not local to the province, where you've literally walked into a "food capital" (including Shunde region) for Cantonese food haha. I guess northwestern style food can be found everywhere. But the best region is ofc in Xi'an, Lanzhou region for that kind of food, because normally local tourists eat by the region. For instance you don't normally go to Shanghai for a Sichuan hotpot unless you live there and don't necessarily want to travel 500km for authentic local cuisine which is not in your case.
What I am trying to say is treat each region like a sub-country with its own local cuisine(s).
If you want a really exotic looking experience maybe go to Xishuangbanna in Yunnan Province. It literally doesn't look like China at all. I believe Yunnan province is probably a really good region for travel.

You should learn some Chinese that can be used when bargaining. Like "太贵了"(taiguile),"便宜点"(pianyidian). If the shop owner doesn't want to lower the price, you just go,they'll hail you back🤓🤓🤓
