I see a lot comments about this guy not deserving of the hall of fame...
Chauncey is well deserving... he was a late bloomer... his best basketball was from 02-11... he was clutch.. he was tough.. great leader.. a steady lead guard.. wasnt flashy.. but super consistent... 5 time all star selection... all after the age of 29(late bloomer) finals mvp.. 2 time FIBA gold medal winner... all defense twice.. Mr. Big Shot... congratulations on your Naismith hall of fame selection

15 and 5 are not hall fo fame stats. He was a good player, not a great player. The HOF should be reserved for GREAT players.. No knock on Chauncey. Stephone Marberry's stats are 19 and 8.. and he was a great player in CHINA.. He's not in because voters don't like him. People Like Chauncey, that's why he is in. BUT NO he did not have a HOF career.

15 and 5 .. THAT's a JOKE.. THose are pedestrian numbers. Put the numbers aside, he was never a top PG in his day.. This delegitimizes the HOF and further reinforces the point that EVERYBODY gets into the basketball HOF .. If U letting everybody in why not Mark Jackson and Steph Marbery ?. Those dudes were top Point Guards in their day. Mark finished top 5 in assists and Marbery's reach in basketball was global.

As I understand it they induct people that you “can’t tell the story of the game without”, Chauncey was one of the major parts of a championship team and if I’m not mistaken hit a game winner in that series, and then Vince was a dunk specialist who genuinely dunked over a center in a real life basketball game as one of the best basketball clips of all time and both of them did this while making all NBA. It’s not Like they’re putting guys like Marvin Williams in the HOF
