- The Waco biplane is a legend, and the E-flite UMX Waco is a gorgeous re-release of the classic original UMX Waco. The new version now supports 3 cell batteries, integrated voltage telemetry, SAFE (with AS3X), and a bigger battery hatch to allow for larger batteries and ease of battery installation. It also comes in two colors now, too!

This is a great UMX!! I've had the V1 for years and yes, it is on display. Happy that it's back. Good stuff Jon, nice flying.
AirHammer out!!
Great video! HH did this Waco (especially the yellow one) proud.
Fantastic job on the review and all the windy lite 3d flying too. Jon may you and your family have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Cheers, thank you!
That's a nice WW1 bird type of plane. Nice flight John and in windy conditions.
it a civilian plane from the 30 s
Thanks when I see biplanes and think of WW1.
I like slow flying flyers because it is super relaxing. This one is a little bit fast. Low and slow is cool, and those are the ones I like. Fast is fine, but slow and low is relaxing.
Seen guys talk about this plane saying it's very floaty if you can call it that with the ability to fly very slow on low throttle👍🏻
Love the new HH release! I had been trying too convince a buddy too sell his V1 Waco(white). Will be adding this beautiful plane too my UMX collection
Hope you enjoy it!
Got mine from eBay, NIB. I also got a beat up UMX Pitts S-1S. I have flown the Pitts on 2S, looking (it's the old version). I got the yellow WACO to hover on 3S, but haven't flown it yet.
Nice video my friend ! With a lot of detail ! I Will get the umx draco next week ! So happy ! And the next one Will be the waco ! He is so special ! Life is good 💙 ✈️ 👍
Sweet little plane, I wish they had made it a little bit bigger, but I want one. Happy to see them make it 3s.
Love this release. I’ve been looking for one on marketplace forever. I’d love to have a 1.5m, but this will work too.
A big one would be awesome for sure.
Nice Jon! Wacko!
Quick question, what would be the best beginner 3-D stunt plane? I’ve flown for about two years now and want to get into 3-D. What would be a good plane to start with. Have you flown the rock hobby, MxS before?
Yup, we've got the FMS MXS. Just waiting for a calm day to finish filming it. It's definitely a must-have even for experienced pilots.
@@TwoBrosRC that’s great news! I’m looking forward to it!
Just bought this today from my local hobby shop. Looking forward to flying it soon!
Hope you enjoy it!
Nice review Jon - as usual! I'll be getting the yellow one.
If you haven't flown the UMX Pitts - you should. I have the original 2s version. Excellent scale flying experience in a plane that can sit on your desk!
And if you've never flown the legendary UMX Beast 3D, you really should try to find one. It has unlimited vertical & can even do KE loops on 2s, and has over a 3:1 thrust-to-weight on 3s! It can do every aerobatic maneuver in the book (plus a bunch that don't have names yet), and it laughs at 25+ MPH winds!
Something to consider, thanks!
hello. I have a question. How to set the gyro on the new transmitter and receiver. My gyro works but I can't turn it off and on.

Wacko😂 great review man
Wacky whack
I bought the graupner mz-24pro hott controls and I want to know if I bought a good one. What is your opinion
No idea, we've never heard of it.
I hope we see the return of the Sbach 342 one day 🙏
Owners manual recommends dual rate for elevator on a separate switch. Did you do that ? Why or why not ?
Nope. We never change rates. We always leave them in the highest (100% in this case) rate and use expo to tame it. It's more predictable and less fussy than messing around with switches for basic control authority.
Nice flaying en ving
🆗
"Just throttle up and have fun."
Best advice I've heard on any of the several reviews I binged of this plane today.
"Waco"- like "Taco"??? Nah... i like "whacko" better 👍
Is it made out of EPS foam like all of the other UMX planes or EPO foam? If it’s EPS and someone puts CA on it around that tailwheel area, it’ll eat right through the foam.
It's EPS foam, but foam safe CA doesn't eat through it.
I used GG super glue on my UMX Pitts and it was fine.

“whacko” 😂
Whacko
I think its said as Waco like in Texas. Not Wacko lol
This looks like a fun plane! Thanks for sharing! Great video man🤙
Perfect edit! Wish i had your skills!!
It's definitely not Way-co, it's Wah-co or something like that. Either way, the company doesn't exist anymore and pronunciation is always up to the speaker. Happy you enjoyed it though!
Yes the company is still around
@@TwoBrosRC yeah your right it is wah- co.learned some history after looking it up.I've always liked bi-planes.
Take care man 🤙
I did here on a video that the company pronounced it wah-co so it doesnt get confused with way-co texas
@@sendit_rclol i could have read the next comment down, i cant see you already know what i just said.
Is this Waco better than the pits made by the same company in your opinion ? Thanks
We've never flown the Pitts so we can't give an opinion on the subject. Sorry!
Super excited for this one!
Thanks for the great review Jon! 👍
Happy to help, cheers!
Im waiting for the UMX ultrix review 🙏🙏🙏
Who knows, it might happen.
Have you tried the umx pitts?
Nope!
@@TwoBrosRC it's pretty sick on 3s
Small battery hub. Can you move things? Asking for a dummy
Nope. The battery can only exist in the designated space.
what ia a 'whack-o' ???? 🙂 nice vid...
A Whacko, obviously!
When you have a chance try the UMX timber x on 4s, just give it a whack
It's only rated for 3. Not sure we want to try the risk of burning it up!
@@TwoBrosRC couple of us have flown 4s successfully and it was insane, I by no means am saying destroy a plane, it was just fun but risky 3s is plenty. Love your vids have a great day brother 👍
Its pronounced Way Co not wacko silly 😂😂😂
You gotta be whacko to think it's pronounced any other way.
Good flaying ving mor challenge
🆗
yTF did you call it "Wack-o"?
Why does it matter?
You're trying to be like a professional presenter. I'd think you'd actually look up the name before possibly mispronouncing it. For me its 1 of those things that I block channels for. Personally.
OK, see ya!
NO, ya wont lol@@TwoBrosRC
I just lost my white waco To sell battery the wind blew it away, lost it in my city. I'm sad I'm going to get tracker. This won't happen again aloha
It's WAY-CO, which is spelled Waco, wah-co would be spelled wacko
I bet you have never heard of wah-co, Texas have ya?
These must be trying times for you, choosing to listen to someone pronounce a word differently than you're used to. Be brave!
Not a wacko , called Wall Co
Can't really update it now lol
@@TwoBrosRC Its ok , you fly it well
I'm not trying to be a jerk, but Waco (the aircraft company) is pronounced wah-coe or walk-o. Just FYI. I used to say way-coe until one of my airplane (as in full size, or real airplanes) friends laughed at me and set me straight.
Pretty sure we pronounced it as "whacko", though.
@@TwoBrosRCI see what you mean.
