I've been following your channel for years, since way back when you were living in the city. It was exciting to see you move to the country, build your house, and now the pond and the future gift shop, which will, no doubt become the new center of the international RC world. 🙂 Awesome! Hats off to both of you! Like you, I have been hoping for a revised Waco for years. Yellow is a unexpected and pleasant surprise. Like Megan, I love yellow airplanes. I will be purchasing the Waco, as well as the Aeroscout S2 from your links. Thank you for all your efforts in educating us about new airplanes, modifications, and the finer things in the RC world, as well as rural Iowa.
The great thing about decent micros is that after a while you dont notice that they small. This is because whatever the size of the plane you will always fly it out to an apparent size rather than a perceived distance. The one limiting factor with these small planes though is wind. In still air you can make these little Wacos look real but if its turbulent the magic disappears pretty quickly and they start to look more toy like.
Yes, but same is true for all planes...bigger makes for a more and more realistic and AMAZING experience in all the real world elements, but in dead calm...these are AMAZING, as you said!!!
29:24 hi i have learned a lot from watching your videos what one would you recommend. Waco or pitts I'm not a total newbie and can I tie it to radiomaster zorro or radiomaster pocket
Nice video guys. Years ago I had the powder blue and white version. What a great flying small biplane. I ordered the yellow/black this morning via your link. I flew the old one in an "Barnstorming" sort of way and this little plane can do it all! The red and white version tempted me but being 65 with my not so eagle eye vision I went with the high vis yellow. Flying on a NX8 w/3s bat. Happy Flying!
Thanks for flying! I love it, but don't have any kind of large areas available. Watching you do such a great job is very entertaining & I get my flyin' fix! ..... almost!
As soon as the pond is done, well be working in WAY more float planes, and boats and watercraft...but most of all, e-bikes for the water - LOL (that's a poke at our nay-sayers in the audience - they HATE ebikes - LOL LOL LOL)
If you mentioned UMX Voodoo as in mustang. I have to state that belly battery compartment, the door has problems on new and brand new replacement fuselages. Something that cost me a lot.
What a mess! Did you resolve it with some TAPE? A pin to reinforce it? Did you figure out a way? We didn't have an issue, but I guess I could see how it might be for some people...the old design was even worse...just a cavity where you slide the battery up into and depend on velcro to hold it.
Great video as usual. Got a couple of the OG Wacos and will certainly add a yellow one as they are right up there with the best UMX planes. Now, how about a 1.2m Timber Bipe? I think it could work - maybe you could run this past Horizon!
This model must be popular. Backordered everywhere for a month now. Bought the Realflight simulator dlc. They actually have the color schemes as 2 separate choices, ie like you're flying 2 versions of the UMX Waco. I'm glad I got it because I get the sense that landing it is going to be the hardest thing
Finally, about time they came out with a couple of cool new UMX biplanes, preordered through your link. Always watch your videos and give the thumbs up. You guys are awesome, best stuff on TV. Now they just need to make a 950 to 1100 mm Beechcraft Staggerwing with flaps, retracts and lights.

That's the important part. Keep this hobby alive man, keep it moving.
Bi-plane. Have the Waco, wanted to watch this again pre-maiden. Have a question about your low speed knife edge and another about ground effect. 1) Did you use cross rudder input to maintain that slow speed knife? 2) Does the lift of the waco's bi-plane design create a stronger air bounce (Ground effect) when landing?
Oh my gosh what a small world Scott used to work for the same company that I work for what a great guy. Also Jeremy from the model box 2.0 absolutely love that family wish that I could have gone to that event but I had a gig out on the road as usual

Nice planes and video. I just wonder how long they will be around before they are discontinued. When I find a plane I really like its gone so soon. I wanted another umx Pt-17 but when I wore out the first one they were already gone. I loved the Mcx helicopter, the Scout and the inductrix fpv pro quadcopter but they were gone by the time I needed a new one.
Im a new pilot. I have an aeroscout but would like a smaller plane to fly at different locations. How much more difficult would this be to fly? Great content for sure. Love it
Okay, good question! This plane is GREAT flying, and not HARD to fly, but it's made of EPS (vs EPO - more flexible and resilient foam), so it's less forgiving when you do crash, FYI...so you might want to get the 700mm Apprentice STOL if you want another intermediate step. bprc.me/Waco vs bprc.me/Apprentice

Yes, which is why the county shouldn't involve them ;) We wish this mistake wouldn't have been made...when an assistant is allowed to make such a terrible mistake, it's pretty disappointing.
Go ahead and get a pond. I hope you can broker a better deal than we did, since it's gonna cost a small fortune. Just got just under $15,000 worth of drain pipes delivered yesterday. These were ordered part of our project by the Federal, State, and County Government, as part of the $16,000 engineering on the project (the next to lowest quote...we had quotes over $50,000 for engineering, FYI). We'll have 96" of drainage, to go after the pond fed predominately by the 36" drainage culvert under the road, where the vast majority of water comes. This is just a taste of the real expense of this project, and it doesn't even include the excavation, tree spading, or other expenses...not that it's any of your business, other than that we're sharing it for your consumption, and wanted to satisfy part of your curiosity. My point is that these projects are WAY more expensive than people understand. You have to remember that I've worked, a now 19 year carer making a pretty good living, opposite what we do on RUclips...that and some good investments have given us the financial freedom to do what we're doing on these projects. The RUclips channel only recently helps us to partially offset some of our crazy plans. If you want to poo-poo people for doing cool things - keep acting this way! As for your shoes. What value will you bring me and my family for us to buy shoes? I don't mind buying you shoes, so long as I can get something in exchange. What type of work do you do? What shoes do you want? Can we strike a deal? This is how the world works! With all due respect, you look old enough to understand this. If you bring me value, I will give you something in return, and vice-e-versa. I didn't make the rules, but I do play by them. I've been working with people all my life that are way above and below us on the financial "totem pole" and everyone that works hard, makes something of themselves. If they aren't pussies, they get paid for what they do. If they're WEAK, they'll tolerate working for free. That's not a bash on charity, by the way, there's a time and place for that, but when we go to work, and don't get paid, that's called theft. My family works their ASSES OFF for this channel, and it's insulting that you would insinuate anything less. P.S. I hope you were just joking, but when me and my family are done paying for the millions of dollars we've invested (so far - much more to go, btw) for this property, in like 30+ years, I hope you will have long since moved onto something bigger and better. We will still be here, fighting hard to build what we want in and of our lives. This channel has come at GREAT cost to me and my family...and it's hard to share that in a video that shows RC planes and FUN stuff, but if you have a week or two, I could start to cover some of the REAL cost of what we do. It's not EASY. It's definitely NOT always fun. Remember you see the "fun" part...we LIVE the hard parts. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it...and we've been doing it for almost a decade now. I don't expect you (or anyone else for that matter) to pay for anything in my life if mine DOESN'T bring you value. If we do, and you feel compelled, then by all means, chip in. If not, we'll make it without your help, but there are tens of thousands of people who WANT to help, and they do it. I'm not trying to guilt you, or turn the knife, if you're having a financial struggle, but I want you to think - that dude has worked his ass off, and he's allowing people to help IF THEY WANT TO DO IT. I'm not trying to use a heavy hand, but if roles were reversed, you would be an IDIOT NOT to ask. Hope this helps. Have a nice day!
E bay would be your best bet. On totally calm evenings the Cessna was the best UMX plane I have ever flown but the magic was spoilt in any kind of turbulent air.
Its a service provided on Their Platform wich we as PREMIUM account holders that pay a monthly fee to RUclips n Google Surely if I contributed to and improved it by providing content there should be a commission attached to that . I surely would feel unfairly treated if my content was being monetized and I didn't get a fair % of that.😢

You should try flying the real thing.
They are a joy to fly.
Trim that dang rudder!
don't use safe and expo together, why?
where is the swimming pool ?
NIIIIICE 👌🏻
I hope they make the umx cessna again I missed it the first time around
E bay would be your best bet. On totally calm evenings the Cessna was the best UMX plane I have ever flown but the magic was spoilt in any kind of turbulent air.
cool cool
Need a 1400 mm version.

Surely if I contributed to and improved it by providing content there should be a commission attached to that . I surely would feel unfairly treated if my content was being monetized and I didn't get a fair % of that.😢
