  • Welcome to my detailed guide on how I built my new 19 plate HHO dry cell. This dry cell runs on a 12v 30amp power supply, I haven't been able to measure its output yet, but its significantly better than my previous generator. In this project I was attempting to build a new and improved HHO generator to replace my previous one. I did fair bit of research for this project and it definitely paid off. I plan on using this HHO dry cell to power my brazing/welding torch in the future, but that's for another video. I hope you guys got something useful out of this video! See ya in the next one✌

Maybe the best way to cool it down is not to heat it up in the first place. Reduce the voltage to get the mimimum nessesary produduction. That will not only produce the most efficently but the reduced amps×resistance to ion currentn also generates less heat.
If you want to produce even less heat, add more plates to increase the conductivity, which would increase amps but you decrease the voltage even more both control the amps and further improve the efficency.
If the plates were bigger than the gaskets, the plate "fins" could provide surface area to act like a radiator and loose more heat that way too.

A widespread misconception seems to be that such a cell should be called a dry cell. Such a should instead be called a series cell or similar, the defining characteristic of a dry cell is the use of an atleast partially solid electrolyte were the water is directly introduces into a solid electrolyte thus
    making spills impossible.
I don’t like misconceptions but I do like a good explanation of a “series cell” which I only understood fully due to this video, thank you!

Bro you should check out what happens with the production of hydrogen via electrolysis in the presence of a magnetic field like just from a permanent magnet and also there's byproducts that come from using stainless steel which are undesirable you could say at the very least. these are just things that I've come across in my journey man. I can't afford like Platinum coated stainless steel or anything like that so I'm using graphite that I've cut into sheets but not saying it's the answered or anything but I really like your billd man it's really cool

Thanks man I appreciate it! The hexavalent chromium byproducts is definitely nasty so I've only used my set up sparingly. I wanna look into the magnetic field thing sometime because I've heard it pop up before, maybe I can include it in the next iteration of the build! Thanks :)

You could look into a 12volt, 40 - 60amp *CONSTANT CURRANT PULSE WIDTH MODULATOR* to prevent "thermal runaway" , a cintered bronze filter at the end of the outlet tube to atomize the HHO bubbles, enhancing the drying process and an anti flashback, otherwise a good job, well done. One more thing, fill your bubbler, you don't want to store HHO, the more you store the bigger the boom if things go wrong. CAPE TOWN SOUTH AFRICA.

I’ve seen where urea ( fertilizer) increases the reaction.
I’m working on trying different frequencies. Everyone is using 60 hertz out of the wall. Starting with golden ratio numbers and frequency’s , very slow process. I believe once the magic one is hit an eruption in the process will occur.
    Each idea spurs the next.

    • @Neally

If you made your homework... what about hexa-valent Chromium?
It gets over time flushed due to the electrolysis from the stainless steel into the electrolyte.
That stuff is dangerous and fatal for your health. Highly toxic and causing cancer.
I recommend graphite or other material without Chrmoium.
    Btw. nice generator :)
    And anode is positiive ;P
20:00 get these leakages fixed, mate. I wouldn't even dream of using fire in the vicinity of the rig as long as it release gases!
And get an oxygen restrictor in the line. Each time you hear the little *bang* when the torch is lit, is a flashback.

    • @Neally
      @Neally  3 года назад +2

Thanks for the feedback! The set up in this video was only temporary for testing, that's why it had so many leaks and whatnot. My most recent video (ruclips.net/video/PJCu0TNtPGs/видео.html) is a significantly improved version of the design, and I'm working on an even better version of the bubbler system right now, give that a watch if you're curious.
I'm not too concerned about the hexavalent chromium because from what I've read the use of distilled water significantly reduces the wear on the electrodes. I'm also reducing the wear on the electrodes with my neutral plates by dividing the 12v into 2-2.4v per plate. In a world where everything went how I wanted I'd probably use either titanium, or graphite as you suggested (initially I was looking for graphite for my electrodes, but I wasn't able to find a good source) but that stuff is quite expensive.
Thank you for the input on this, I definitely appreciate it!

i think the bolts over handing will cause a mild short circuit for the first few panels. also you need some lock washers under the butterfly nuts so they dont come loose. the bolts holding the panels are also too close to the electrode plates, i think an extra 1 inch around all plates may be better, it looks good though

I think you missed a few lessons on what a dry cell HHO machine really is. The plates as you have them arranged and wired are not correct, but you may have followed someone else who didn't understand the principles that make them work. As you laid them out, you will have electrolysis proper between the negative and the positive plates, and very little interaction from all of the other parallel plates, and virtually no voltage between them and the distant spacing of positive plates.
