Good thing i found this video i was interested as it's looking good but everyone is crying of fuel consumption and i don't think i will manage to pop to the garage every second
Might have been this DCT was introduced. They are claiming a better fuel consumption. Maybe i should get a demo and test it out

This car is cheap to start with but is very costly in the long run. Small jobs, such as changing light bulbs, can only be done at a dealer, costing thousands.

Them updating the interior and the Gearbox made it all more attractive

It doesn't look bad at all for the price. I'm just not a fan of CVT or DSG style gearboxes, or until they prove to be reliable.
Im with you, but for chery in particular moving this tiggo 4 pro from CVT to DCT was what they needed.

No it does not, each company has their own variation of CVT, for eg, Toyota’s CVT might be more fuel efficient than Kia’s CVT, so its entirely on the company how they configure their CVT to not use too much fuel. In Cherys case they might have realised their CVT is not on par yet and decided to introduce a DCT.
DCT on the other hand you are correct it often makes for a better drive in most cases when compared to CVT, But also often offers lower fuel consumption due to cause there are actual gear changes, that being said you can find a cvt that is as good as a DCT with regards to Fuel Consumption

Subject to the variant you go with but there is wireless charging
Have my CVT model since 2022. Fuel consumption is a nightmare. Happy with reliability and performance. But ja that fuel consumption can financially break some people 😂.
In this economy😂 that cvt is a monster
@@PheloMngCars Chery is testing new fuel consumption software. I had mine loaded on Friday. Appears to be better but can only really confirm after driving in various conditions. I just think that 1.5L engine works too hard to get the weight moving. Apparently the DCT and 1.5L is is more fuel efficient
What's the fuel consumption and other maintenance cost like.. I'm looking at getting one(can afford a used one) .. And looking for some info from ppl that got the car
@@sajidhoosen8665 Currently on 8.5l/100km after the software update. I have a heavy foot at times. Some people get low 8s and high 7s per 100km. It is good for this type of vehicle. Fantastic car. No issues in two years of driving. Well built and put together. I also take mine over corrugated gravel roads often.

Wish there was a way to upgrade our current CVT's. This car is hurting the value of our cars now.
I sent my recommendations, offline map, bring the ambient lights to Eliet, the strip is already there in the doors.
I like the 3 modes, why would you not take care of your current customers.
They should have made a GT model with paddle shifters and more sporty look. Thats a different class/customer and retain the value of your current stack...
