Taking the time to just thank you guys for the support on this channel. Looking for ways to do these types of videos on a variety of yachts and see if we can make this RUclips channel more of a full time thing. A reminder... I have close to 30 videos to release of daily life on board this yacht. Coming soon!
Dude! how on earth did you guys get to having a couple's job?. Me and bf are looking for a couples job very badly on the yachts. Please advice us. I would be so greatfull.
Soooo what you saying is u bussing yo sinus beans on the bosses 10000 count pillow covers and tossing dem gooey sheets in the wash before boss get their no lie master bedroom is best.
I just graduated in hospitality management and my dream job for about 4 years has been to become a chief stewardess, so seeing this really interests me! thank you for posting I love all of your content and the training giveaways are so generous of you. happy new year!
This guy is very cute and energetic. He speaks clear and well in his videos. He's has a certain quality of charm about his relating his experience . Would still like to see more of the actual yachts interiors he's caring for . maybe it be nice to have a short audio of his relation to other crew and maybe primary charter guest if allowed. Overall good view
Hi Jared, great content! Im a student Yacht design and your video’s give a Nice view of how The crew, and you in particular, are using the yacht. Which gives good insight in how to design specific areas, Thanks :)
From a perspective of someone who worked on cruise ships, these cabins are awsome :) Everyhing is clean and new, you have windows (?!!?), and it's unimaginable for my bathroom to have a window, glass doors or wooden floors. Nice video...
Do guests ever ask for a tour of the crew areas, engine room, wheel house and any other service areas? If I was ever on a boat like this, the engine room would probably be the highlight. New subscriber, thanks for sharing.
Howdy Jared! I Stumbled across your channel via SV Delos channel (World Cruisers on a 55 Amel Ketch). Your job was my dream back as a young guy. I did some transatlantic deliveries and US Cruising. I chose a career in Nursing, 33 years later, about to retire and ready to cruise again. Love your well made and interesting videos! Peace!
Really enjoy watching your video’s. I love boats of all kinds and my wife and I sail on Princess cruises 2 or 3 times a year. I can simpathize with you on your living arrangement . I live in the States and my job is driving a chemical tanker through out the US and Canada. My work area and living quarters are about the size of your cabin, although I don’t have a shower or head. I have stayed out on the road for up to 4 months before taking time off to be home, so I know how you feel. Good luck on your next adventure .
Love your vids thank you! My brother was for years in the south of France as an engineer, it’s awsome to finally see this perspective! Sending love from Australia
Even though it's a cramped cabin it seems much nicer than most boats, better than nothing and I bet it's worth every bit of experience, that's really cool bro
Looks almost like a Benetti... Worked on a 2017 125ft. Now on an older (1986) 127ft. Cabin sizes apparently don't change. Glad to see some cool videos.)
I wish your crew cabin had a larger port hole. The most likely fire starts in the galley. The captain of Bonaire ordered all ports to be large enough to escape thru. After witnessing a yacht go down with all the crew trapped in the forward section (night time galley fire) in Baha, Mexico. keep a small chain saw in your cabin for emergency exit!
That's some old school Victorian era sailing right there. It's like not having enough lifeboats for all crew and passengers because steerage and lower ranked crew will be locker below decks in the event of an emergency. smh. . .
I know how you feel! Because when I was a crew member on cargo ships, my room was small and had to share the rest room. Now I am a engineer, my room is bigger where 3 kings size beds can fit in plus still have room to move around.
I work on yachts too and I’m currently spending a few nights on one now doing some installation of some teak, love your Chanel and I can relate to all these small spaces! I’m 6’3 with 48 inch shoulders 😩
I could totally live on that. I’ve seen smaller and really depressing crew quarters on yacht tours even on larger boats. The better the crew areas make for a better crew happier crew overall.
After seeing all these armies, scientists, hardworking people in the comment section, here comes my comment too I went on a trip to the moon with Neil Armstrong back in the 60's and your accommodation is way luxurious that that i had in the Rocket.
Wonderful yacht by the way. And yes you are so awesome for showing us what crew accommodations are like. Rather modest in space yet comfortable setting. Please keep making vids like these. I love boats, yachts and ships. Always wanted to try working on a vessel for either some form of passenger assistance and or Banquet type. Oh and Best to you and your girlfriend :) happy sailing
Nice tour. Nice gig to have while you are young to be exposed to these places. Kudos to you. Your cabin is nice, but what the heck you are never there.
Hi Jared, Although you do not have the biggest (cabin). I've actually been on new builds out of 2017 and 2018 about this size (30-40m) which have far - not kidding - far smaller crew areas. From my experience the cabins actually don't always increase in size when the yacht increases in size, it really depends on the owner/designer of the yacht. Keep up the vlogs, love it! If you are ever (dry)docked in the Netherlands, give me a shout if you need anything!
Hey Jared, really enjoying your videos. I have a request if possible. Can you do a video around the garage/tender area? I've always been obsessed with how these large yachts have mini garages and it is one of my favorite parts when checking them out. Unfortunately, I appear to be in the minority because most pictures/videos barely feature them. Barring any privacy concerns, could you possibly focus on this part, as well as the tender launch and recovery?
Hi Eric. Thank you so much for the compliment. With the video series coming up, I have quite a lot of footage with the garage being shown. I wont lie, we dont have a lot of toys in board. The owner is an older guy so toys arnt a priority. That being said, I will make sure I talk a bit on the garage.
Thanks for the reply. By the way another youtube channel I think you would love is FlemingYachts. They produce some really great documentaries, such as going from Seattle south through the canal and to the Atlanta coast of Canada. It is a good combination of yachting and sightseeing.
As a person who may be an owner in a few years, your channel is very informative. I’d be interested in hearing your advice to new or prospective owners.
Kind of surprised to not see any hurricane straps on the racks. Granted I doubt you all purposely sail through storms regularly, but still having that strap on my coffin rack while I was in the Navy(U.S.) was definitely reassuring during heavy seas. Great videos mate!
Hey Jason. I mean this in the most respectful way ( to the boat builders ) If this thing had to hit weather that would require straps, i assure you this thing would go down man haha! Its a fair weather boat made only for the Med in my opinion
Yo man, What are the on/off seasons and do you know what boats you are going to be working on / who you are going to be working for during the season? Great vids, keep 'em coming boetie!
On for Med season is roughly from April for crew and June for most boats until october. No, one never can predict what job they will be offered just have to decide if you want it
Reminds me of a hotel room I once rented in the Latin Quarter of Paris. I had to be careful moving in the shower so as not to turn the water full hot or full cold, and if I had to take a leak, the toilet was only half a step away, and I could pee into it from the shower without splashing on the floor.
Saw a comment on another video that you should make this video posted only a week ago so I assume this wouldn't be made yet but I check your channel anyways and this was posted just a minute ago! awesome!

Good day Jared, you have a suite compared to what I had in the 80's onboard a Coast Guard Cutter 😂😂😂😂 I was berthed with about 12 guys and slept on a middle bunk (three bunks). Be safe, best regards from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Not too bad... at least you have your own bathroom. I work on hotel barges and share a head and shower with three other crew members. Berths are probably about the same size, but then our seasons are seven months. You’ve got it good, brother!
Sea Owl is one of my favorite Yachts. So absolutely cool that you worked on her. I do have one question. You mentioned that the new boats have worse cabins. Do you think the change in the rules for crew cabins made it better or worse?

Thank you man! Yes completely agree with you hence me saying in repeat... no complaints at all. In fact, im lucky
Dude and here I thaught our beds and cabins are small, this makes me appreciate my living space on the ship so much
You are on your way to a quality channel. You have skillz!
Thank you so much man! You have no idea how happy a comment like that makes me!
I did my service with 16 people in one room at a Fast Patrol Boat during weeks and I feel your accomodation is very comfortable. Nothing to complain.

Show everything, galley, food storage, fly bridge, engine room, etc.
Thanks for the idea, but unfortunately, there has to be a certain level of privacy kept. Lots of other vids coming though
