Hi Shane, I've had 2 REL Stentors in my Naim Audio stereo setup (PB 4000 SVS for my HT). The single thing that I love about REL is their speed and how well they integrate into a musical system. I've tried the SVS and it's not even close. I think it's horses for courses and have never heard a better sub for a high end audio system. Thanks for what you do. Rob

The 1508 itself is very good. But that glossy plate on top attracts scratches and dust no matter how much care you take. Wished that they would have done without the shiny plate on top but offcourse it boils down to personal tastes and practicality. One good aspect in the 1510 is that the rear portion text is easier to read with the dark blue background on the panel as compared to the 1508. The rounded beveled edges at the sides of the 1510 looks better than the flat edges of the 1508.
They should also have given magnetic front grills for the 1510. When you remove the grill, one of the sprocket gets lodged in the hole on the driver side panel in my case for the 1508 which a magnetic grill would have sorted it.
For people who have the 1508, I don't think it is a massive upgrade. For people buying a new sub, I would say it may be a fantastic one judging by the performance of a 1508. A very good balance for movies and music.

REL makes beautiful subs but I really don't like when they put reflective tops on subs, or anu reflective surfaces for that matter. 75% of people can only put subs in the front of the room and 20% have subs in both the front and back of their room. This means 95% will have screen light reflections from these subs (those in a theater setup). I hate being forced to put a piece of black velvet on top of a sub just so it isn't visually distracting. That being said, for many, the performance of this sub makes that less of an issue.

However, in HT, depending on room size, mine is 20x15 I’m considering going with one HT1510 instead of the two 1205’s. I was hoping you could help. I currently have an RS2 that I am returning to JTR. They've been giving me issues with their warranty policy. So I'm in the market for a new sub. I do not need as much power as this puts out but I still want something competitive. In the 1500 to $2,000 mark. Maybe a little bit more. I saw the rails. I know from your video they're not going to get as good or as low as my JTR. But I was wondering if you had any suggestions to help me. I'm currently looking at power sound, audio and GSG. But their prices are in the 2500 to 3500 price range for one or dual 18s. I am looking for something more vented if possible. The RS2 is a sealed sub and it's great, but I feel that invented would be better for my home theater setup. I currently have JTR 210 HT's for my front sound stage there 8-in in the rears and then for ceiling speakers with a Moran 6012 and a cherry five channel amp. I hope this was not too much but I was hoping you could help because I have no one to ask. I wish there was another way that we could communicate. But any suggestions would be much appreciated. Be carefull with subs that reach single digit hz frequencies, as they can make you ill or worse. 20 - 18 hz is safe and still musical.
