    I was blessed with one daughter at 28. Now At this late middle age, i don't want any kids. I had gone to see my Gynecologist for my heavy cycles every month. He also did an ultrasound and found what i had. I had my hysterectomy on July 3. I had fibroids and cancer polyps in my uterus. I had no choice but to let it go and its In God's hands. 🙏

    Thank you for sharing your story. I'm on my 8th day post op total hysterectomy. I have been dealing with endometriosis and fibroids since I was 28 (I'm now 46 almost 47). When I was first diagnosed the doctor wanted me ro explore other options and said they wouldn't approve a hysterectomy due to me being too young. I've spent and lost so much money on different treatments that were only a temporary fix. I always wanted to have kids, but the symptoms got so bad that I just decided to have the surgery. I'm looking forward to recovering and hopefully have a better quality of life. ❤

    my cousin had her surgery in her early 30s she saw one doctor who pretty much tried to convince her not to do it to look at other alternatives bcuz she doesnt have children . She said what she was experiencing was enough for her to go that route and yrs later she still has no regrets about doing it

    I had my hysterectomy two years ago and it was the best thing I could ever do. I should’ve gotten it when I was 40 and I waited until I was 45. I thought it would make me feel different as a woman but it didn’t. Glad you’ll healing and blessings upon you. I was up and back to my regular routine in 2 to 3 weeks.

    Very informative. I had my hysterectomy in 2011 and don’t regret it. Mine was a bit more invasive because I couldn’t have it laproscopic because my fibroids were so large. I ended up having a blood transfusion afterwards but God was with me and I’m fine now. I don’t regret it one bit.

    Hello, glad to hear you are doing well with your recovery. I had hysterectomy in October 27, 2023. I had a DNC that didn’t work. My reason for a hysterectomy was due to heavy bleeding , cramps. When growing up I would have mild cycle . When I reached 60 my cycle was like a teenager chronic pains and heavy heavy bleeding. This I will say was the best decision I’ve ever made.TFS.

    I think my large fibroids contributed to my chromic GI issues all these years. It is now 3 days post-op from having total laparascopic vaginal hysterectomy (took all but my ovaries) with a slight bladder lift and TBH the gas in the colon area is the most intense part. Never traveled to my shoulders because I started prepping before surgery and I walked every hour after surgery to get gas moving out. Day 3 and evry time I eat or drink water, I start spasming with gas. I think my stomach nerves are just irritated from years of chronic issues. Pain is minimal at the scar sites. The binder made the gas pain worse for me so I stopped wearing it for now. GasX and Colace and Miralax all helped me have #2 pretty soon, like day 2. Urinating caused some slight spasm at first but not now. #2 is worse with the spasm for sure. Resting has made the most difference of all although I am getting bored LOL. Thankfully husband is home to be my caregiver.

    Very informative video. I had a partial hysterectomy 27 yrs. ago. It was a major surgery, I spent 3 days in the hospital. I had 3 grapefruit size tumors on my uterus & yes my uterus was the size of a 6 week pregnancy. My last period, I bleed for 30 days with big blood clots. It was the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. Now I have hot flashes like no crazy. I have only one question, when will the hot flashes end? I ask my doctor & they look at me with no answer. Who do I turn to? By the way I am about to turn 55 this year. Everyone will have a different experience...thank GOD my tumors was not cancerous 🙏Glory to GOD🙏I pray you have a speedy recovery xoxo🤎🤎🤎

    Thank you for sharing. I don’t know why people are afraid to talk about having a hysterectomy. This helps so much even though I had mine done 2yrs ago, I love to see black woman being open and transparent about it. Im still healing mentally. Memo pause started to kick in. So my emotions are dominating. Are you still happy with your decision?

      @KerRey-zg8ml Not At All…Be decision EVER!! I still have my ovaries so I have some time before menopause kicks in. I try not to worry about things like that. 💖

    • @FemHuman
      @FemHuman 7 месяцев назад

      @KerRey-zg8ml memo pause is the scary part, because you’ll probably go in to early memo pause even if you keep your ovaries. People don’t update after 1 or 2 yrs. At first everything seems fine and then boom, your in memo pause.

    Hey Brandi, I’m 44 and I’m having a total laparoscopic hysterectomy bilateral sapingectomy ooperatomy done next month September 4th 2024. I’m a little nervous and worried about the surgery and after 6 weeks up can you still have orgasm and sexual intimacy after hysterectomy.

      Happy Surgery! You will be fine! As for sex afterwards…Girl it’s good you have to wait for 8 weeks but real talk you want to before then but you must wait. So to answer your question, No you don’t loose any feeling for me it heightens it. You won’t be dry or loose interest it’s all in the mind. Hope I was of some help. 🤗

    If you can wait until you go through menopause when the mentation stop. Also they can shave the fibroids off. That last 10 years.

    If you’re eating too much ice that’s a signal that your blood is not getting enough oxygen. You may need a blood transfusion and just speak to your doctor speaking from experience.
