With the confidence and information learned from this channel, I planted tons of tulip and daffodil bulbs for my own house and my 83 year old mom's house - who lives a couple hours away. We are all so excited to see the spring flowers come up! We are sending each other pictures and can't wait to see them in person this weekend. She is SO happy and said she is one of the only neighbors with spring flowers coming up! So worth the work last fall. I never would have attempted it if it weren't for this channel - thanks guys!!
I have noticed a comment trend here..everyone says hello to others watching the videos like a community or group chat..hahaha..it's heart warming...Morning Everyone, getting ready for the day😊🥰🙏
"Boo-plur-uhm" for Bupleurum. (Emphasis on 'plur'.) Heard a quote years ago on PBS that one family "didn't give away garden produce because they grew too much....but rather they grew too much so they could give it away." (Sounds like Garden Answer!) XOX
That is wonderful. In my city there are community gardens in empty lots in the 'hood' bad part of city. You go and help weed, plant, learn and people in community can come and grab what you need. Encourages more people to plant in their own yards too, especially the kids. We have to grab them when they are young like benjamin and plant that seed in them...love for growing
Good morning all. Thanks to garden answers inspiration I am planting flowers in beds, not just my usual containers. Planted 41 jugs for my winter sowing in Minnesota, zone 4b. I see sprouting my Lacy Phacelia, Lupine and both varieties of Sweet Peas. So I NOW know all about this seed growing excitement. Thank you to Laura and Aaron for the joy and information you bring us. As my Dad would say, YAHOO!! Let the season begin!
I planted 9 jugs last Thursday in MN. 1st time ever planting seeds! I consider it an experiment-don’t have much confidence in myself with this kind of gardening. I usually just buy plants to put in.
When you said you wouldn’t be able to put the benches in this year, it got me thinking that you should set up a GoFundMe for your garden projects! People send you so many gifts for mail times, I think it would be great if we could donate to the garden and see our donations put to work in videos instead of gifts. I know I would totally donate a couple of bucks so that I could live vicariously through your beautiful garden. 💖
Are you serious? People have lost jobs, their health and their homes this year and you would like donations so Laura can have benches? Let’s see... After the purchase of the acreage they removed electrical poles, graded and fenced the acreage, added water and electricity, then added a hundred or more trees. Not to mention they added a new tractor and gator. They remodeled a garage adding two rooms and moving doors. Now they are building a Hartley greenhouse. All within a few months. These are people building an English cutting garden in the high desert of Oregon. This requires tons and tons of water, bags and bags of fertilizer and compost. Bags and bags and bags of it. It’s wasteful and lacks concern for the environment. They also have access to mom and dad’s garden business. You do understand that much of this is sponsored right? After 5 years possibly Laura could come up with a compost bin to save some money for her benches. Maybe helping someone truly in need is a better idea.
Good morning, all of you lovely people! Getting the day going with my babies and then off to the yard to continue busting out our yard work! Digging up grass today for a new flower bed for cut flowers and wild flowers for the pollinators ❤️ If I'm up for it, also digging our watermelon bed!
Bless your heart, I don’t think I could do a fraction of what you accomplished especially in the wind! I say it all the time but it’s going to be glorious 😍
Could you do a video on how to plant the daffodil bulbs in the pots along your driveway in your landscaping after they bloom this spring? Thank you for all your hard work and inspiring the rest of us! 💖
Good morning, Garden Answer Crew. I hope everyone is doing well, and that Spring will be springing soon. Cold snap due at the end of March for most of the country. Couple more weeks, then we can start in the fun too!
Good afternoon from Upstate New York (Saratoga Region)! Colder and windy today and SNOW forecast for Thursday, so I am extremely envious of you being able to direct sow your seeds. I know it’s coming, but I’d really appreciate Mother Nature taking us back to last week when we had record highs and brilliant sunshine. Until then, I am happy to watch and learn more from you!
Good morning everyone from Indiana. Love watching the seeds going in the ground! We had frost this morning. Laura you are amazing and Benjamin is so cute when he is running. Thanks for sharing!
Am watching this October 15, 2022. What a difference now. The transformation is remarkable. What a feeling of accomplishment Laura and Aaron must have. And, as a viewer, it certainly gives me the confidence to try to transform some of my more unslightly or ill planned areas.
Good morning from Windermere, Florida zone 9b Monday morning and I am excited to see what seeds I can get started today. It's supposed to be a cool 80° today 🤗 I always love watching you and Benjamin play gardeners 🌿💚🌿
I just cannot wait for the weather to settle down so we’re in the garden long enough to see what’s going on ☺️ although my early daffodils and tulips are dancing around in all this wind quite contently 🤣
Hey everyone! How fun to see all those seeds going into the ground! I wish I could have a friend that was as into gardening as I am. If anyone here is from Uruguay let me know!! 🇺🇾
Hi Laura! It looked like more Biotone blew away then touched the ground. LOL! In the background, the fence and high tunnels look really good. It will be so pretty once all of your flowers are in bloom. Thank you for sharing!
Good evening. I am arriving a bit late in the day today. Normally I watch your videos in the morning. Now I want to go and buy a bunch more seeds, lol. I am making sure that the mistakes, mishaps, and whatnot that happened last year will not be repeated this year. And what may not work out as planned this year I can make sure it is corrected next year. I love the learning curve nature throws at you. Waiting for the wind to die down here in KCK. Tomorrow is another day and adventure. Can't wait to see your flowers bloom. Some of those colours look gorgeous.
It warms my heart to see you garden even though your conditions aren’t ideal , and gives me courage to garden in my own space with its challenges. Your irrigation system would add a whole another challenge to gardening ! Love your channel! Your down to earth ness as well as your gardens ❤️
Depending on outside sources is frustrating-- wind, weather, and water installers. Now we wait for little green shoots peeking from the ground. Ahhhhhh... time. 💚💚💚💚💚😎
Learning is part of the fun of gardening isn't it. Waiting impatiently for my garden center to get plants in (I know it's still too early) but I really want to get another hydrangea, more hellebore and a couple more baptisia. The yellow peony I transplanted last fall survived and is showing sprouts peeking thru the ground. Currently pouring through my gardening/landscaping books, which is also fun. Checking my shrubs yesterday and noticed my bloomerang is leafing out faster than the hydrangea, yay! Happy Spring everyone!!!!!
How exciting to start seed planting outside! Darn wind, I have planted in windy conditions too - not ideal but those seeds need to be planted! Can't wait to see them pop up! Love the way the new area is looking! I always enjoy your videos, very helpful in my gardening! 😃🌿💦🌬🌿
You are so great at this. I had my man prepare the hell strip in front of the house and we are planting a cut flower garden. I am imagining how pretty the house will be full of flowers. And inviting the neighbors to cut too! Look what you've done :)
I have been afraid to direct sow some seeds in the ground and seeing your video has given me some motivation to get out there and just sow them! Thanks!
Woohoo🎉so exciting to see the first seeds go in the new space. I love seeing the progress in the background as well...fence,high tunnels ... ohhh so many beautiful things going on 💚 😍😃
Woo-hoo! The planting begins in ernest. That wind looked like it was determined to spoil you planting fun! But you carried on like a real trooper. Congrats on getting it started. It's going to be gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see them breaking threw & growing!! TYFS! This was so inspiring to see. Thank you!! Stay safe & God bless. 🤗🤗🤗🤭🤭❤❤❤💙💙
As a very visual newish seed Gardner, it it so helpful to actually see you place a couple of each seeds in the ground for spacing and alignment learning, before you fast forward the camera to the zip zip of the reel. Is it possible to show just a few. seconds of regular time filming of placing the seeds for those of us who like to learn from your every step? Thanks so much for your patience with we newbies who have no clue!
This video touched my soul, so satisfying to watch that stack of seeds go into the ground. Not quite ready for planting in western new York. Was wondering where you were going to plant your sweet peas this year?
Good evening everyone. Just watching this now as I just got home from a 12 hour shift. It was very windy here too in NJ today, I had to call my daughter to put all my potted plants under the deck so they’ll be protected.
I love watching you get stuff done in the garden. Your passion for plants has really inspired me to step up my gardening game this year and start my own seeds. I can tell you've been gardening a lot this spring based on how dry and cracked your hands are.
Hi Laura cannot believe you’re already out planting in the cut flower garden. Good for you girl! Can’t wait to see it this year so exciting for all of us.
All of my favorites...... Bells of Ireland.... love it! And some of my favorite seed companies! You bring such happiness watching you garden! Such great planning. Gardening is so much about the plan.
Good morning from Massachusetts. We are the same zone as you, however we can’t direct sow just yet. You have inspired me so very much. I am going to do a cut flower garden, so many people I know deserve to receive a gift of flowers 💐. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you for all the time you and Aaron put into these.
Always enjoy your videos! My interest was sparked with lakspur, never heard of it before, and the pictures looked lovely. So Google away I did! It says the seeds need cold stratification in refrig. It also said that seeds won't germinate above 65. And it says they need staking because they can grow so tall. I think I'm way too windy for them. I really liked learning about the seeds though! Thank you Laura, you always inspire!
An exciting day for sure!! I know your seeds will do fantastic 🌸💕🌱 I was amazed last year at your success on the new property 😲 Laura certainly has magic touch💚
How fun! You have some great varieties of beautiful flowers picked out and planted! You are going to love the Orlaya! It is such a pretty white lacy looking bloom plus the pods from the spent blooms are beautiful too...and they dry nicely. Also the Nigella create beautiful pods as well! I probably pronounce the Bupleurum wrong too but as a florist, I say "boo plur um" or "blue plur um" 😀 my wholesalers know what I am talking about so that's what counts! Lol! Can't wait to see your gardens grow!♡
It has been terribly windy for the past week or so here too. Wow, I can see in the background that Paul got the high tunnels up and covered with greenhouse plastic by the end of this video! I also see that the screening fence to store your bagged product is also up. Even with all of the crazy wind, it looks like there has been a lot of progress on your new property! Aaron, we need drone shots, please, if the wind ever dies down! I didn't see Russell or Cheddar in this video! They are probably staying out of the wind, smart kitties! ~Margie
GoodMorning from Beautiful British Columbia! It’s a chilly day here in the Okanagan, but my strawberries starts are planted! So excited to see the gardens coming together! 🪴🌱🌻
Very windy in Western Massachusetts, too , had some really nice days in March and hoping it doesn’t get all cold again in April, I feel like we are not out of the woods yet . Laura , you are a very organized gardener , I’m always all over the place, trying to be more like you in the gardening department
Good morning from Australia 🌹 Such a great video to start the day, it’s getting me very excited for this week. I’ve bought so many bulbs and planning on spending the whole weekend in my garden 🌷
My soil temperature is only 41*, so it will be weeks before I can put any seeds in the ground. Feeling very envious that you are planting already, but also excited to see the cut flower garden develop. Happy growing!
Good morning from Las Cruces, NM! This is the video I needed to get my caboose into gear! We ordered our drip system, timer, and we'll get the garden tilled and ready to go this weekend. Thanks for always being an inspiration! :-)
Good morning everyone!🙃 Thanks Laura and Aaron (and Paul)!!! Great video! I’m so looking forward to the journey of a beautiful garden and especially in its new cutouts. Can’t wait...it’s all so pretty! I’ll be getting my Larkspur and Phlox seeded too...so excited, because it’ll be my first time. Nervous 😬 I’m still pretty new with gardening. Thanks for taking about irrigation...not sure about anyone else, but I always can hear more on watering 💦. Laura, how often will you water your seeds? Thanks for taking us along..💚
I am so glad I found this channel. So knowledgeable and an adorable family. I am planting an all white garden this year and I can’t wait until it’s all going. I will have my regular as well but I just thought how much I live white flowers against green foliage. I have gathered about 12 white flowers so far
With the confidence and information learned from this channel, I planted tons of tulip and daffodil bulbs for my own house and my 83 year old mom's house - who lives a couple hours away. She will be the envy of the neighborhood, I bet others will follow !
This made me so happy.
Same! I planted over 150 bulbs last fall (aliums, daffs, tulips, hyacinths), I'm so excited for the show!
That »s amazing!!!! I am so happy for you

Hi to my fellow MN gardeners!
Good morning!!! I've got my coffee, my robe on and and smiling ear to ear watching Laura officially start off 2021 growing season!!!
Once everything is in bloom, and her trees get nice and shady, this will be a PERFECT place for a garden party 😍💐🥂
I was sick all weekend but I’m feeling much better today. Getting out in my garden is first on the list!

I must say, you sure have a handsome farm hand there.
We LOVE Cory Carson! Season 3 is so cute.
Good Morning from Central Florida..... watching your videos and getting ready to plant my bulbs and dahlia tubers...🌺🌸
Glad your Biotone didn't blow away in the wind overnight!
I am so glad I found this channel. So knowledgeable and an adorable family.
I am planting an all white garden this year and I can’t wait until it’s all going. I will have my regular as well but I just thought how much I live white flowers against green foliage. I have gathered about 12 white flowers so far
Dang that “Blooming” wind 💨🌻 😂 Thanks for my morning chuckle Laura. The new fence looks awesome 👏🏻
Good morning! What a great day to start the day. Thank you.
Good evening! We're still getting frost here so no seeds til next week. I spent the day grooming shrubs. Very good exhausted. Now to relax with GA.
Looking forward to all the beautiful blooms 🌺
Those compost bags 😂 my husband would say he was helping me by pre opening the bags or something silly like that 😅
you are a garden GO GETTER! excited to see all your blooms
