Wow! Looks amazing! I’ve been dying to see the maze garden. The memories of a child are always so large compared to the actual size of something. I thought of a small ditch as a major hill that we climbed and rolled down daily. I can only imagine how Benjamin and Samantha will remember this gorgeous, mysterious space from their childhood. You and Aaron have created a wonderland, not only for your precious family, but for all of your GA family too.

"Imagine being an adult & running through this!" That bistro set is perfect for a morning coffee with the sun coming up. I too have realized that gardening is so much about learning. When I am in my front yard, I always get a compliment and that makes me so happy. My bed is just getting started, and there are so many changes I need to make (like moving plants around). I have learned so much from GA!

Thank you for a wonderful tour Laura. I've been dying to see how all your seed crops have come up despite your cool spring and really hot summer. You provide so much inspiration for us new gardeners. I'm in country Australia, so our seasons are reversed. I'm sitting here, huddled under a blanket in freezing cold, waiting with baited breath to start my seed sowing. I don't have a greenhouse, so I have to do my hardy annuals and hardy perennial seed starting in my cold frames, which means I have to be patient. Following your planting of the maze, I have ordered zinnias for the first time and can't wait to get going with them in the Spring. I'm doing an experiment this year of leaving my dahlias in the ground to overwinter. Technically, I'm in a US equivalent 9a zone, but we don't get humidity, but do get hard frosts, so it will be interesting to see what happens. We do get up to 42 deg C (108 F) in Summer, so it's a bit of a lottery. All the very best to you and your lovely family, and know that you are appreciated on the other side of the world.

So I watch Garden Answer the way I use to eat candy bars. Eat half save half for later. In between I go water, weed harvest, and take a dip in my horse trough!!!! ( no horse) I also use the warmer trough water to bucket water all outlier flower pots. Which also some pots surround the trough and I’m watering them whilst in the trough. Which is my humble oasis. Potted flowers on log rounds. Hokey, I know. But I’m having the most fun garden year ever. First half of summer we wheelbarrowed pea gravel across the bridge and filled the floor of the garden by hand. Basic but enough beauty to delight my growing soul. You and Aaron have encouraged me in SO many ways. God bless your mortal souls with immortality, I pray.

Hi, I'm Suzy from Minnesota. I have been enjoying your videos! I haven't been able to garden for a year (other than my porch flower pots and tomatoes on my deck) because we moved into a newly built house last year and I just had a baby! Your videos have been getting me through and inspiring me! My yard is a blank slate being in a newly built neighborhood. I had a guy from the nursery down the road plant four Colorado Spruce, one Birch cluster, and a Royal Raindrop Crabapple in my yard. I was thinking about how you say you want to have winter interest and good structure. In Minnesota winter interest is a big deal for obvious reasons! I now have so many ideas and can't wait until the builders are finished fixing the settling around my house so I can start putting in the gardens!!! Also I play your videos just for ambient noise while I do housework so I think my baby knows your voice as well as she knows mine 😂. Thank you guys for all your beautiful hard work!

Laura! For the arbor do cucamelons (Mexican sour gherkins, or mouse melons). They TAKE OVER a trellis and are so fun for kids!

How lovely and fun! When I saw you showing the maze garden, I was imagining how I bet your kids just love that space…I can imagine them running through and giggling while having fun! I’d love to see a snippet of them enjoying it…it’ll be so fun to see more turns through the maze for them to explore.

Love the merlo red pincushion. I have never seen that color in my area-Southern California. I think I will try from seed next year

Wow so gorgeous! and grew fast too.. i remember just seeing the little bistro table and chairs only in that spot .. Amazing..I have black thumbs but now I think they turned green .. I planted an avocado tree seed and it has sprouted up to 8 inches already.. and I also have a mango tree that someone gave me it is doing well..both are in pots...I also love Pothos ivy and had it trailing up the wall and the tree.. the leaves got to the size of an umbrella at the top.. people would stop to look at it .. the pot was given to me from my Aunt ..i just moved the pot and the ivy just went crazy in that spot..

Holy Moly, those raspberries! Wow! Love love love the maze garden! Gorgeous!
Grass truly does have a place in and benefits to nature. Soil erosion control is very important to keeping water available.
