While it was definitely clean and had some sleek lighting elements, that’s definitely not worth 85 million. It’s way too basic
Views, location and size.
Agree!
it's completely overpriced compared to other, much better homes in trousdale
Too basic. Its suppose to gave luxurious and something that's like a smart home like Jayz's and Beyonce's
Most of it is the land value
Her emotional connection to the home has driven up the price about $40M above what's appropriate. I don't think she wants to sell it.
its like 15million house call it modern design, in reality its just using simple cheap stuff, more profit
agreed
I think she's just delusional and thinks her ikea level interior design is worth that much
I agree. I instantly said: I’ll give her 60 all cash.
😂I thought i was the only 1 who noticed
Her:"As you see, we have a really beautiful ocean view."
Horizon: I serve you nothing but smog
What you are seeing is actually mainly the marine layer.
she said ocean breeze
@@Anthony-nu1do Also, it's pretty hard to balance the video to the interior and exterior lighting. If the exposure was set to the exterior brightness, so that you could actually see the horizon, it would be completely dark inside. So the skyline is washed out and over exposed. Making it look super hazy.
@@skribe 3:21 She says "ocean view"
Hahahhahaaa same thought😅
Bigger is not always better. Almost every room is too large for its furnishings. I do like how the bedroom floats above the outdoor space, but otherwise this home could have been compressed into a smaller footprint or broken into more rooms. This feels like the polar opposite to the comfortable and inviting Padalecki Family Farmhouse.
Hello 🤗
Kind of had this impression, that the theatre room especially seems a touch redundant at such scale
Hi; less square meters in the construction to let a bit of land for a cozy patio (that this do not have)
Plenty of space for TV but not for Music HI FI high end audio; ugly counter facade; no good gym with great views; no many things; only repeated spaces.
Also all these enormous houses are all the same; are ALL in the need of Architects; I mean; real ones. These houses are modern McMansion houses actually and are the same as a normal modern house but several times bigger (and useless)
You know; are just wooden frame houses! with drywall everywhere and touches of marble and dekton...and expensive stuff no Architecture
-Plus; in all these houses the sellers try to sell (the only thing they talk) its talking about the furniture and stuff...c mon with that Money you just put the furniture that you want.
The best in this house are the design of the glass doors etc. Sleek; modern and elegant. Better than most.
True
It's just the staging. There's definitely ways to fill out that space. ^^
Coming in I was excited, Leaving with an underwhelming feeling
You can’t really differentiate the rooms. It all looks the same whether you are in the living room, the master, the other bedrooms. Just a lot of beige on beige on beige that all blends in to one big snooze. It’s the “vanilla” of homes. I also saw someone commenting on how it’s so much wasted space and I totally agree.
Well, the main focus of the video is explaining the architecture of the house, if you want a more colorful tone you can definitely rearrange the interior design. It'll be better for a house to have a subtle tone than a quirky tone because then it'll be such a waste because it won't be everyone's cup of tea. And about the "wasted space", again, you can rearrange the interior design such as furniture, etc, to add more colors, shapes, details, and elements into the rooms to make it more lively.
@siska Well there you go, the interior took away from the architecture for me.
@@lulahbelb.3670 I don't disagree, but with the right furniture, art, and staging, you can solve that wasted space feel and the monotony of the colors. Frankly, that's how you design a home. You don't want loud colors and textures clashing, especially when you're trying to sell a home.
How many times does she say “this is my dream or I love this here.” I understand she grew up in the home, but it sounds like she designed it to solely accommodate her tastes instead of designing it to appeal to other potential buyers.
The architecture appears to be solid - on a good foundation.
You’re paying for 19,000 sq ft; the location; and floor to ceiling crystal clear glass windows with astonishing views and open floorplan throughout.
But, you’ll definitely need to hire an interior designer to add more earth color tones and your own uniqueness to it! That’s where the negotiations would start…
Agreed! It also seems a bit empty at times but that'll be up to the buyer to add in furniture or whatever they like to make it feel more "homey"
Couldn't agree more. But lets get it real - people who can afford such property can afford the upkeep and all the finishing touches as well.
@@Tyroldis correct. But buyers and their agents like to have a reason of “why” they won’t pay the seller what she’s asking….It’s even better If there’s competition in the area (similar houses for sale at a lower price).
Just food for thought. 💭
I’m here solely for the views and observations of excellence and craftsmanship. It’s a beautiful property!
It's not worth that price. Maybe, MAYBE about half of current asking price.
$88M for glass 💀💀
The furniture was probably added in only for the video. The purpose is to showcase the details, materials, view, and built in aspects of the home. Don’t know why people are complaining about the interior.
The homes are really close together, for such an “exclusive” community. Also I absolutely expected the home to have a lot more tech or be more of a smart home for the price especially. Honestly I feel like her growing up in the home is the reason why it’s that price. The design is honestly not special or particularly even modern.
Its really plain and uninteresting looking
she calls the city smog a lovely ocean breeze, also leaves theater doors open so the lights can get in, and paints the walls beige cause she likes her movies washed out
Talk about trying to talk something up, you can see the ocean from Beverly Hills, but I would hardly call it an "ocean view" like Palos Verdes or Malibu
Modern architecture feels like living in a box.
Every home is essentially a box or a series of square shapes, with bunch of rooms shaped like a box. How many circular or round homes have you ever seen.
modern designs lean more towards sleek and efficient whereas older designs lean on more inteicate and decorative details. both are beautiful in their own right.
Your mind is stuck in a box if you feel that way
Every house is and enclosure for living and at the most basic and minimal form, that translates to a box.
That said, a home needs personality and can become a piece of art with more imagination.
This home lacks a lot of imagination from the architecture to the cheap (very cheap) interior design for this asking price.
it's too simple. I like simplicity but this one looks so boring and lifeless.
All the charm of a modern hospital and as for the view - look at that smog!
This is GORGEOUS 🤧 it’s minimal yet still feels warm bright! Love all of the texture! Her design esthetic is A1
Thank you AD and Gina for showing this wonderful dream of a house!!!
They chose a good day to film, the views are amazing! I like the design, but half of the house seems like empty wasted space - you could drive a car inside without hitting furniture, oughta be hard to make it feel cozy.
It doesn’t really scream 88million more like 50 to 65 million.
Location location location
@@skylarembury3712 also exterior finishes and interior design. Trousdale is an elite location with those amazing views, but this type of minimalist design doesn’t fit with the price tag.
40 million is a correct price imo
Her emphasis on the word “consistent” is very consistent.
I know,, She sounds so exited..
"unimaginative" was a little too on the nose
It’s a gorgeous property, but the interior feels a bit stark.
It’s a really nice base, but it’s just that, a base. It needs some work to be better styled and feel less monochrome. Some good earth tone elements would do the house wonders
Extremely.
The right furniture and staging would solve that issue, combined with the right art throughout the home.
I like the guest room, the family room downstairs, the theater, and the pool but other than that it seems very impersonal and cold. No pictures or art anywhere in the whole house!
I love it, it‘s impeccable. I could see myself moving in and making it my own with just some personal touches. I think it’s all perfectly done.
This is such a beautiful home. I love the simplicity of it, without too much color. And those views are spectacular anywhere in the home, very nicely laid out.
Beautiful! Love the interior design, simple and minimalist. A fan of a lot of white interior too. Great interior work!
I used to love this clean look. The subtle textures add interest to such a minimal space. Feels well balanced and peaceful. Love to live here one day. Designer looking fabulous as well. 🙏🏽 💗
So elegant! It’s beautifully breathtaking!!
Gorgeous home! This home has great features and beautiful views!
Finally another house tour! Waited sooooo long
Pure architecture and elegance! Spot on!
I think it's a beautiful mansion and the views are stunning. Absolute perfection. It would've been great if the interior design was a little bit more lively and colorful. A splash of frivolity here and there.. I like modern minimalism but perhaps a little more contrast would have been nice. To me the beige everywhere is a bit too DMV.. Perhaps the new owner will bring lots of art to hang on the walls and sculptures to give it more depth. However, total respect to Gina Assouad, the lady that grew up there and designed it. Good job!
1000%
Probably being a billionaire you might want neutral colors and simplicty to keep you sane¿
My type of house !! Amazing views and interior
Love the design and definitely got luxury vibes
Stunning!!
Subtle Subtle clean & minimal, glorious example of architecture done right, was nearly overwhelming to breath it all in in one viewing, I'm moved to tears by the calming design qualities, textures are are purely textural rather thematic and perfectly complicated against the view. Thank-you so much for sharing this wonderful muse of care and attention to the history architecture has always made for the excellent expectancies brought into existence by some of the most ambitious minds in Belair Construction. The View though... 88m is a steal imo
So so so elegant and beautiful. Just screams wealth I love it
such a loooooooser ahahahahah
For everyone commenting about how boring this house is well the main focus of the video is explaining the architecture of the house, if you want a more colorful tone you can definitely rearrange the interior design. This is such a wonderful house.
The problem is, this is a house but not a home. It's a Restoration Hardware catalog. Cold, sterile, boring, instantly forgettable. I could "design" a house like this with my eyes closed.
@@mrsj1417 of course you would think so, because you clearly don't understand what I'm saying and don't understand design. Well, if you have money to buy this HOUSE you understand it doesn't come with the "restoration hardware catalog", you can completely make it "A HOME" by personalized the interior design.
Did you watch the video? She spent most of the time talking about the interior design elements the finishes. The interior design elements were impractical in many cases. And it was clearly staged by someone who does not work in an office, use a bathtub or use a gym -just to name a few examples. It just made no sense.
@@Kaymeron SMH 💀 you do understand that she talked about the detailed architecture and interior architecture not interior design such as furnitures and stuff right? You could change the image of the house by rearranging the interior design for example by putting a whatever themed design element you like into it.
@@siskanatalya1991 But you don’t understand a picture of no absolutes in art or architecture. We disagree on this home. It doesn’t mean I don’t understand. You don’t understand anything if you believe if they’re absolute right or wrong opinions about art. Take your authoritarian views elsewhere
She doesn't want to sell her childhood home that she designed every inch as her dream. That's why the price is high. She's still living her best life in there and using this clip as promotion for her interior design business. Which I might add, seems to produce tasteful designs.
LOVE it!
I’ve never seen a more perfect home😍😍😍😍
This looks so good.
I love 💕 how simple and pretty this home is
Stunning view
i understand the size location and the view aspect but i genuinely can never wrap my head around why someone would want to live here with this interior design. It’s lack everything that makes a house a home.
Such as?
@@FortunaFavored character simple as
It has got enough space to fill in more personal belongings that will make it feel like a home for the new owner.
Love everything about this home :)
Well done!
AMAIZING
I really appreciate how minimal this house is. Stunning views as well. It won’t go for $88m, but I’m sure whoever buys it will be very happy.
Beautiful house for real 😍
I loved that pop of blue art in the living room. The house needs more of that color to break up all the shades of beige.
so zen and open
Love it!
Rayni: This house is beautiful. Can I do the tour with you?
Gina: Wait in the garage.
LOL
not funny ,,,, AT AAALLLLLL
The views are magnificent and it does have a very calming ambience. I’m not sure the architectural style and layout warrant such a hefty price tag. I agree the Interiors are very bland, particularly with such big rooms. Layers of texture and colour would certainly enhance the warmth. Bring in Lenny Kravitz Design, he’ll bring it to life 😁
Firstly I just LOVE this place. Stunning simple warm cozy design and killer views.
HOWEVER, $88 million? Isn't that is a ridiculous amount of money for a single family home? $20 million is a stretch for a large number of potential buyers.
Now for my big beef.....Can we all agree the kitchen is THE most important room of the home..the place where people congregate and enjoy each other's company, enjoy a meal together.
Why in God's name is the kitchen so small? 10:31 It only took up 20 seconds of the 15 minute video! My kitchen is the same size and my home is only 2,200 sq ft. Am I missing something here? I know people with this size of home are likely going to the finest dining in the city, but the kitchen still plays a role as the centre of a home.
Still though....I love this house.
Wonderful.
such a gorgeous home
I almost missed the kitchen they blew through it so quickly. Underwhelming kitchen for the size & price.
Very true
my thoughts exactly, its almost shoved into a corner, for the size of the house I really expected a much grander and larger kitchen
I don't think they cook a lot. 🤣🤣🤣 And so true, where's the stunning kitchen?
@@yvonneb2 if the designer doesnt cook a lot then she designed the house for herself, and not for a buyer because at that price anyone would expect a kitchen twice/thrice that size!!
Almost missed it bc every room feels exactly the same. No character.
a nice minimalist interior.
This is somehow incredibly modern and totally dated. This place has the warmth and sterility of a department store.
Wow! Stunning design…a true modern masterpiece. Great job by the designer…I know we’re all so tired of boring “white boxes” but this is far more engaging and complex yet subtle. Perfection!
The home feels like a hotel, it needs warmth to it.
Fantastic
88 MILLION! Wow
This is insanely overpriced even for the Trousdale area. I'm guessing they either don't want to sell or they have a very particular buyer in mind, because regardless of the views you can get something just as great for about 50M less.
The night views are probably even better!
Compare this to 822 Sarbone Rd. The price is the same yet the design and everything is VERY different. In my very honest opinion, 822 Sarbone Rd is definitely what $88 Millions home should be.
You're forgetting the exponential inflation that has occurred since 822 Sarbone Rd. Sarbone Rd is worth way more then it was back then.
great #minimalist materials, furniture and staging
Ok. I’ve seen a lot of multimillion dollar luxury homes. This is my dream home. Just perfect no matter where you look.
View is amazing. Turning table for garage is cool. But house missing something 😕
So beautiful
The wisest thing that should be on everyones' mind currently, should be, To invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the government, especially with the current economic crisis around the world.
And also, Being of age and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. The market is never a loser in the twenty year cycle, but the 2000s decade scenario scares me and could really disrupt my retirement. When you're no longer accumulating but withdrawing, it's hard to be anything but cautious.
The pandemic really taught people the importance of multiple streams of income. Unfortunately, having a job doesn't guarantee 100% security, rather having different investments is the real deal.
@@jachikeonwuka3824 That's true,
I believe that the secret to financial stability is having the right investment ideas to enable you earn more money. But for now, investors getting started can feel overwhelming. Risk loom large and complicated, unfamiliar financial jargons can be intimidating.
Some investors look to their investments as a source of income while others use it as a means to grow or preserve their wealth.
Also, It is mostly disastrous for newbies or anyone who doesn't adhere to a well thought-out strategy and over all, a professional broker.
The blue dress is pretty!
this is my kind of home id like simple and spacious
One of the nicest homes in the world!
Sungguh sangat menakjubkan
I think this home is actually really nice. Is it worth $88 million? No. But after an interior redesign, I'd say this house can easily top $40 million
Gorgeous home! Definitely worth some more than half of the asking price though!
For 88 million I need to have an entire island or some acres with a forest or something.
To everyone commenting about smog, you must not live near the ocean. What you are seeing is mainly the marine layer, which thickens as you look out toward the ocean.
To everyone saying its overpriced: they always start with ridiculous prices. If u remember that one house for 250 or 300 million in la got sold for 80 million I think. Even billionares wouldn't be dumb enough to buy it for the price they were asking in the beginning. U wait a bit, negotiate and then u get it for way less money.
Anyways, I'd say it will sell for smth between 30-40 million. For me it's worth maybe 25, bc it's probably a good location, but I wouldn't pay more than 20-25
Lovely home but I have to ask how you prevent birds from hitting those crystal clear windows? I have glass on my outside railings and I have to strategically place items so I don’t cause them harm. Can’t imagine a huge home full of glass…I’m more concerned about wildlife than the residents inside 😉
I love how warm and cozy the home is and the views are insane! But I have to agree with the other viewers some of the rooms felt kind of bare. I feel like her Design style is minimalist which is fine but since the rooms are soo big they don’t seem balanced and are lacking in a way. Especially when they showed the bedroom. The bed looked so tiny compared to the size. Still a beautiful home tho.
amazing !!!
My dream home❤️❤️❤️❤️
$88 million? That’s a tad out of my budget. How much for just the closet?
Probably 100k
lol
What an incredible and unique home. Gina did such an amazing job with this project. Beautiful design and incredible details and finishes throughout! The buyer will be very lucky.
Amazing views💚
It looks so lonely. I want to give this house a hug, architecturally speaking.
So agreeing with u…too cold for my own taste….u r paying for the view and it’s way too much. Seriously 😉
I'LL TAKE IT!
ah to day dream about a future where i can afford something like this
This house is an insane excess.
Feel like her entire wardrobe is beige sweaters. So cream and calm and peaceful 😉
Pricing a home based on how much you love it apparently adds about 30% to the asking price. Hard pass.
Views would be nice if you could see it through the smog......
ok gonna buy this house
Can you feel that ocean breeze?!
The fact that this primary bedroom is bigger than my entire apartment 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
I always wonder how the insects issue is handled in such open-door areas. Where I live, I would have a full house of mosquitos, bugs, etc.
Feels like it should be more in the $40 Million market
Looks very similar to the house featured in the weeknd’s “Reminder” music video
complete teardown
I'll buy 2 of them
