Not really, as Noir said some are just drawings. It's also very clear that 2 of them are real and which 2 are real. Hell the one at the top looks awful at that. However your comment also has 228 likes which is why you see so many people posting this kinda thing for attention instead of something actually genuinely y'know...interesting =/
My big problem with the 'do this, not this' approach is they rarely explain WHY you should be doing one thing over the other. Meaning those tips will never stick and won't be useful going forward
I wouldn't say it never sticks. It all depends on what you strive for, if you are going for semi-realistic it's very useful to follow the rules of basic forms/perspective/shading. If you don't like it, you can always change it.
Imagine if an artist like me started going around saying "Your realistic eyes are wrong. You're supposed to make them bigger with thick lashes and big irises." No, that's just my style. I am more cartoonish while others go for a more realistic style. Goodness, not everything has to be realism to be correct and not all artstyles are actually good, but if you can make a visually pleasing and decipherable image, you shouldn't be getting corrected though these "art fixing" videos can also help you to work out the kinks in your art Also, CONGRATS ON THE MILESTONE!!!!🥳
@fe0 525 I don't think that's what they're trying to say, of course you should learn anatomy. They are saying that realism isn't the only "right" way to draw, (sorry for bad english)
Videos like that especially get on my nerves, they put all of the shading and sketching on the "do" so like of course that one's gonna look better! If you want people to understand WHY you shouldn't try the don't, actually go thru the process instead of leaving it at line art
11:40 The first 2 lollipops he pushes away are real, the other three are drawings. Of the 3 drawings, 2 are cutouts, the last one was actually drawn on the paper/base. For me, the inconsistencies in the shadows and highlights gave them away.
Yup, and same with the chocolate. The last one he pushes away there is also a cut out, you can tell by how much darker it is plus the fact that it’s the only one he didn’t let roll away.
The lollipop one was kinda a lie tho... three out of the five were drawings if you look close enough. The green was a drawing that was cut out and so was the red. Edit: same with the chocolate, the top left corner and the one right under it are both drawings. You can tell because they’re darker in color, plus on top of that the top one is the ONLY one he didn’t gently roll away.
2:37 she's nit drawing with special crayons. When you colour something in, what's actually happening is the pigment is absorbing every colour wave length from from the environmental light except for a select range wavelengths (which we then perceive as colour). However, if you limit the range of wavelengths in the ambient light (to say that of red), all red colours will appear to go invisible as red pigments will reflect almost 100% of the red ambient light. Every other colour will then appear as some shade of black, which will hence be visually distinct. Although this effect could be achieved with almost any two wave length on the visual colour spectrum, I believe red and blue are used because they are the furthest removed from eachother and will hence be more defined.
The first one isn't acctually reactive pencils and such, its actually the opposite. When shining red light on the red pencil, it looks like its gone because the white background is also red now. Same thing with the blue. Its kinda like how the red and blue 3D glasses hide a different layer depending on which you look through

so the reason on the first drawing only the blue line appear on red light and only the red lines on blue light is because red and white reflect red light, but blue completely absorb it, and blue and white reflect blue light while red absorb it, there's no special ink or materials

The guy doing the fake lollipop draws the lollipops. If you do it slow some of them slide, they don't roll. He just made a cutout of the drawing lol Same with the maltesers. He does the momentum fast enough the naked eye can't tell.
I've always liked to play with lights like at 1:55 ; I have an F91 Harrison Martin custom Gundam model kit inside my CPU case, the model kit comes with transparent green swords and a shield; Because of how the green color absorbs light of a certain frequency and how its transparency allows it to scatter it, setting the case light to red makes the sword and shield disappear almost completely from sight but setting the case light to blue makes it glow a very bright neon green.
That real or drawing lollipop one was fake. The person did 3 drawings and two of them were on a seperate paper: the other two of them were the one you said and the one on the up

the one that drew the lollipops had a drawing cut out that made it look like 'the one' but he scoots it away cuz i guess what he's really asking is 'which one is on the main paper' feels like cheating to me XD
Man. Those are not led reactive pencils or something. That's how light works. You will not see blue color under blue light on the white paper. Same with red.

tl;dr - red blends into the red light so you only see the blue, blue blends into the blue light so you only see the red
