HUSQVARNA TE 300i 2022 - REVIEW AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  • In this video I share my review and first impressions after riding my friends brand new Husqvarna TE 300i 2022. I usually ride a KTM 150 XCW TPI so my thoughts and feelings come from the perspective of someone who is not typically on a 300, but is well accustomed to TPI bikes.
    Throughout the video we are riding and comparing the 2017 TE300i and the brand new Husqvarna TE 300i 2022. Overall I was really impressed with this bike, it proved to be an extremely capable machine. It left me thinking about getting my own 300 and potentially switching from KTM to Husqvarna.

    Great review! I have the 22 150i. 200 miles on it so far, all in the Colorado Rockies, single track @ about 9k feet. I would love to try a 300i to feel the power, but I also feel the 150cc is all I really need though. I weight about 185lbs @ 5' 11" and it moves me up anything I point it at with confidence.

      Thanks! I also LOVE my 150. It is capable of doing much more than I can.

    If you get the chance try the XCW300. I got my 21 in February and I can say the best bike I've ever owned. I haven't had the chance to ride a TE 300i yet but I would assume the power delivery is similar.

      Do what you will not regret it! I bought this and I love it it brought a new joy of riding back to me. I rode CRF 450s Yamahas and Suzukis they all suck compared to this bike it is magical! If you ride track maybe not but if you're a trail rider you will love it man!

      @joshuavanzuydam5044 2 года назад +2

      If you do more fast open flowy riding. Get the FX or TX (Unless you mean the Yamaha FX... But that too is more suited to quick flowy trails).
      If you want a machine more suited to technical riding and tough climbs get the TE/FE edition bikes they are geared significantly lower for better grunt

    Man, I want one of these!
    Would that be a good beginners bike because its so controlled?

    • @206bGoss
      @206bGoss  2 года назад +1

      They are awesome! And yes, I'd say this is a reasonable beginners bike. In short, the positives are that the low end power make it very forgiving to mistakes, the negatives from my perspective are that a 300 has more power and are heavier and can tire you out quicker. Either way, any of these modern 2 strokes are great bikes for any level of rider. Just respect the fact that it is powerful, take it easy and spare yourself injuries :)

    What about the MAP switch? It’s list on Manufactures page but no one talks about the MAP switch.

      When I was editing this video I realized I forgot to talk about the MAP switch. I did mess around with it a tiny bit, but I feel like I'd need to play around with it longer to have a good opinion on it.

    I rode the KTM and the Husky back to back at an event and I think that the Husky is eating up bumps way better bc of the linkage.

    • @joshuavanzuydam5044
      @joshuavanzuydam5044 3 года назад +1

      The forks are also set up very differently on the Husky. KTM is smart. 2 different bikes wifh different Characteristics for different riders

    • @tcmx712
      @tcmx712 3 года назад +1

      Husky's linkage for fast flowing single track and KTM's PDS for rock crawling technical work in my opinion, neither one is "better" than the other

      I haven't gone a full tank yet. However, we did a 40 mile poker run once and I still had more in the tank for sure.

    Stupid music.
    Why make two bike the same with different names? ( KTM / Husqvarna)

    • @endurok39pnw
      @endurok39pnw 2 года назад

      KTM brand does not have the equivalent bike as the Husky brand TE300. The Husky is their enduro bike with a linkage suspension, the KTM enduro bike is the XC-W with PDS suspension. The cross country bikes - the TX and XC are more similar in that they are both geared for cross country and are linkage bikes. And then Gas Gas.
