- Black Ops 3 Steam is currently experiencing server outages in the US, specifically US East - Central. While checking out BO3 on steam to showcase the issue, my discord account got compromised, thankfully nothing too bad seemingly happened, but still it is a very real threat. Wanted to talk about and show everything off for you guys. PLEASE JUST PLAY THE CLIENT VERSIONS OF THESE GAMES. All links are below, let me know your thoughts in the comments

Was able to factory reset the PC and all is well! Still unsure whether it was Black Ops 3 steam or not that caused the problem, regardless as a reminder, just play the games on their client versions. everyone cries about the clients being dead, yet if everyone who cried about that just simply played the clients they wouldn't be dead.

also regarding the security of the servers on server browser security. Nameless Noobs just announced today that they were victims of DDoS attacks across multiple servers across multiple clients and they have already changed server providers to fix the issue. so when exploits and issues are found server owners are generally quick to get a fix to ensure players are secure

Can I just say I'm over this situation? Like the whole cod pc security thing. I'm done with it. At this point Activision should "cease and desist" my ass and either make these games safe or let the clients live. It's just absurd at this point.

@@RxqeThere is a server browser. Press B. I used to host servers and have people playing until they fixed matchmaking. Games full of cheaters anyways I was just constantly banning people and couldn't even play. This was when Treyarch went downhill too so their server tools are complete shit and people bypass bans.
I've tried playing BO3 on steam back in June and EU had the same issue to connect to games

It should be in theory. Of course, doing a sweep with a few virus scanners wouldn't hurt. Malwarebytes, KVRT, etc

Worried when you talked about wiping your pc and all that because of shit happening to you because i played 2 days ago. Buuuut then i realized i was doing t7 solo zombies, so while i won't end up playing again for a while i assume im perfectly fine
Only a week of no issues after I get into zombies to play with my friend. Was able to join each other no problem then boom out of nowhere we need Radmin VPN just to play. Even worse the game doesn't wanna fckn minimize when I alt tab and rockets my gpu usage making apps like discord and opera with hardware accel unusable. I don't understand what's so hard about keeping these games in shape.

The 0/50 matches also appears on xbox, the matchmaking is borked there too for some reason..

This is why I decided to buy a mouse and keyboard adapter for my xbox. All the cods i enjoy have p2p connection, so they're unsafe to play on pc. I do have the clients, but sometimes, when i get on, all the servers are either full or dead. So i might as well just play the game on xbox where ik i won't deal with rat and rce exoloits and still use kbam. (Is it cheating? Yes, but i hate playing on controller.)
I played the steam version last year and got hacked everything thank god I didnt have my bank details saved on my pc on steam I had to use my backup email to change everything to and changed every password. However my Ubisoft got completely gone for about 7 months until I got that back and haven’t touched it since.

Lol, isnt Bo2 theatre mode is injected still to this day? You can literally watch some replay on theatre mode and it unlocks all somehow. Still works in 2024 im sure

If you use the steam files it should just automatically work within BOIII, or you can also try launching boiii in steam offline mode!

I recently got WaW on steam to play zombies with my friends. Is that also a security risk? We’re not switching over to multi or anything. We head to the co-op menu and join each other.
Or do we need plutonium to play safer

While I have MTX it was because I didn't want to have to deal with the terrible grind to get everything from supply drops and get some extra gobblegums. Those who use MTX to ruin lobbies deserve to get shamed off the game.
oh I completely get that, for rank/unlock all it makes perfect sense but using it to ruin lobbies kills the experience, it's awful
@@Rxqe I personally haven't used it for unlocking everything just because I don't mind the stuff gotten by ranking up and getting weapon levels. It's just the fact that it is super rng dependent for everything in supply drops which is just insane to try to get now.

I think the only COD that i haven't used a client to launch multiplayer surprisingly enough is MW2 2009 on steam but for BO1, BO2, Mw3 OG, AW i play them all alot on client for safety.

@@Rxqe ive been playing like 3 months with 3 hours once or twice a week of playtime each and i usually go for xdefiant for whole day more often than COD these days but so far it's pretty good, i dont see any hacked players or someone trying to access my empty bank account yet its pretty good so far.

you can unlock all on the boiii client! I put myself at 10th 56 and have gone all the way to 715 by just playing it :) can put yourself to whatever rank you want, with or without unlock all - it's in the stats tab
Were you trying to play multiplayer with the T7 Patch?? T7 is specifically for zombies as far as im aware. If you are trying to play multiplayer BOIII is 100 percent the way
T7 patch works in MP as well but client is still better for MP like you said

@@Rxqe facts, I'm 51 been gaming since my 20's. Hackers have ruined everything on p.c and sad to say on console also. I never understood cheating in a game, just play and you will get better. If I quit trying I would of never been semi-pro in quake, or played with some of the best bf2 players. Have a great day my man.

Can confirm. Im from eu and i cant find any lobbies. Not on pc nor on xbox one. Plus pc version is hacked into oblivion. My pc got hacked last year because of some weirdo Who injected my pc with some 100 trojan horse viruses

@@scarceyew6933 you get mp dlc for free, check the dlc installs on bo3 and you’ll see multiplayer trial pack or something like that

If you have a look at the back of CoD game cases (like xbox 360 and such) there is a legal notice saying something along the lines of 'activision does not guarentee that online services will be provided', assuming that that is a failsafe from all those years ago as in 20+ years down the line servers may not be available. this kinda situation falls under it I'd guess - again I do wish there was a dedicated security team for these problems

No not BOIII, VANILLA Black Ops 3 doesn’t let me connect to the servers without an error. BOIII works fine for me.

I would do solo offline to be safer, usually solo you're fine

Will I still be able to play all my custom zombies maps and access the workshop with the BOIII client? I use T7 but if I can get DLC on top of custom maps, that’d be amazing
yessir I believe so, mentioned it at the end of the video, if you put your steam into offline mode and launch the BOIII client, you should be able to get access to your workshop/custom zombies maps if they're not already accessible with using your steam files
so the solution would be adding dedicated servers instead of P2P ? will never happen but one can dream

FYI if anyone does get the boiii client, play on the Nameless Noobs server and not the latinos server, Nameless Noobs server is miles better than the Latinos server regardless of the player count

correct, said it in the latter half of the video that you dont need T7 for BOIII because its not compatible

This is why I only play custom zombies and with invite only. An update or hot fix around 2 years ago made the main menu insanely laggy. Can't help but think it was on purpose.
that update that broke the menu was unintentional, it was an update that sends out more pings to servers than intended and ruins performance because of it

But the ironic coincidence of all this is it happened while I had the T7 patch open, which spoofs player ID and such amongst other things so it shouldn't have happened, but it did so idk
Can these mega virgins stop ruining the best black ops game ever made. I have 4000 hours on bo3 around 2000 on console switched to pc in 2016 and about 1989 hours on that i would like to play from time to time ffs.
