I kid you not
I’ve played golf for like forever but not consistently in my adult years
The last set bought new was PING eye 2! So work that out 😂
I’ve bought a set of these and wll impressed, best £299 I’ve ever spent!
I have been a big Mizuno fan for the last several years. When I was a kid I had a set of Ram "Tom Watson" signature edition irons and I loved them. I think the best looking Irons ever made are the Mizuno MP18, they are beautiful. However, very, very hard to hit. I have Mizuno "Hot Medal Pros" and I do love them. But I have to admit to liking the look of these RAM irons, I also like that they are sticking a finger in the eye of the major club manufactures, Mizuno, Taylormade, Ping... by producing them at a price point that is incredible. I hope they take off as a major brand. P.S. I would like to get 1 - 3 clubs just to try them out, does anyone know if I can do this? Thanks
All I can say is, hitting the PW over 120 yards and the 9iron I'm able to hit over 150 yards. And I'm just a beginner, started in August of last year. I love it's feel and looks. People would come up to me and ask if I'm hitting BLADES lol
My last set I bought were Cleveland cg4. I want t get a new set but not pay $1000 would these be a good upgrade. I play off around 15-18 handicap.
I’m currently playing big Bertha irons, an older set just curious how these would match up?
I thought that dodge was making golf clubs for a second 😂
The fx77 are exactly the same as Takomo 101 irons - how do I know this - I own both.
Question, I want a new set but iron head only as I want to keep my x100 shafts. head to head do they differ any at all?
This is excellent to know! Thanks
Bought a set and they have been fantastic. Looks great in the bag and lovely to hit....got 10% off with a code as well so you cant moan for 4-pw irons for £270. Bargain
Where did you buy them, where did you get a code?
@@vipermarty2006 I think my comment was deleted but just do a google. Just to mention that my only gripe is that i'm 6ft and they almost feel an inch or two long....I'm new to golf so I can't tell 100% and have booked a lesson next week so they will be able to tell me. May work out better for you
Unfortunately you can’t try them out unless you buy them. Is there any advantage to black headed clubs regarding marking up.
I had a boxed set of Ram clubs from Kmart about 20 years ago. My first set of clubs. Couldn’t hit anything but the irons, but played the same par 3 over and over with them. Now I’m playing mizunos I picked up used with shafts a little too stiff for my swing, and here I am thinking of grabbing these Rams.
These irons are horrible, feel and distance is poor.
Looking the part and a cheap price does not make it worth it.
There are other DTC golf clubs at a slightly higher price that are worth it. Don’t waste your money.
So I have a choice.....I have a friend selling his Taylormade M2's for 250, or buy these new??
I'd get these!
Those are nice looking irons for the price. I definitely would have considered buying them had they been around when I bought some used 2020 Cobra Forged Tec's for $580 about 6 months ago.
The Forged Tec are still a great choice though - I've got the 2022 in play at the moment.
What shafts are available in this and the cheaper FX irons? Website here in US does not let you customize. Thanks
In UKyou can just buy heads only and put your own shafts in.
What site did you order from? On the ram site it only has shaft length +\- 1 inch with no lie angle chice or any of the other options on the screen you had. Thanks
Deffinatlly thinking of buying them. How good is the graffight shaft.
I just bought some brand new for £239!!!! These are beautiful irons....probably won't be able to hit them but who cares?
Thinking of upgrading my irons set & interested in these. How flexible are these clubs for custom fittings should I want to make some tweaks?
I personally wouldn't do any loft&life changes yourself on these. I would just fill in what they offer you
Been playing golf for around about a year, currently using some Wilson cavity irons but looking for an upgrade. Heard good things about these irons but are they more blade typed? Or suited for an everyday average beginner golfer?
Everday golfer is a good one. They're like p790's so not beginner but they'll work for you
Have used Ram in the past. Good clubs and they also had some good golf balls. I like the look and price just wish you could buy a single club just to see if you wanted the whole set.
They’re a sound investment with the price being so low, I’ve had various golfers try this set now and haven’t received any negative feedback
I'm playing pxg 0211sts atm and I'm struggling. I'm thinking of buying these to build my confidence up. I want them half and inch to 0.75 longer and in steel shafts. I can't seam to find them in steel ??
I think they have them in steel on TheSportsHQ?
They look great and very forgiving, where can we purchase them . Have not seen Ramm clubs for some time.
RAM have their own website you can look into, and there are some separate stockists that will sell them too!
It's a takomo 101. No?
Similar. Takomo just have more customization options
I have the Takomos. Main difference would be price. Takomo are £550 after import tax etc, whereas the Rams are £300.
@@jimwocha4949 I'd like to give these a go. For the price, they seem pretty great.
I think they are. These DTC companies buy from the same place and just specify their branding. The older Caley, Haywood, Takomo 101 and the Ram FX77 all look identical. Same lofts, lies and offsets. Same metal spec. So if the shaft etc is ok why spend hundreds more on the Takomo and Haywood options?
@@justabloke6981 you’re right I think they are all the same - not sure about the tokomo ..
I think they all looks great
TM P790 has AI designed face, tungsten weights for high MOI, speed slot on the bottom of the longer irons, and A WHOLE LOT of highly paid pros for advertising. Worth it? Debatable.
Im an 18 handicapped cant get my head around how a lower lofted club gets more height
@@garydorrington2925 usually more tungsten lower down for a lower center of gravity.
Can you take these for a round of golf out on the course? No one on YT has done that yet and done a proper course review
sure!
Great - looking forward to it!
Just bought for £239 from sportshq
Great deal!
Seems like for faster swing speeds these may be ridiculous? 200 yard 8 iron doesn't make sense
They’re for sure amped up lofts! Not a deal breaker if you’re looking for a cheap set of irons though
@@GolfmagicPlus of for sure I'm all about these for at least half the golfers out there. Most will need that distance help. I play Takomo 201's for the same concept and pricing as these. Really impressive out of Ram
Based on the lofts and him using irons slightly longer than stock, the 8 iron he is hitting would be roughly a traditional 7 iron and some more, it would probably be best using an extra wedge for gapping on the lower end of the bag to get the gapping right.
They look realy nice to be fair. I was looking at pxg 0211 or i500 but where I live its a fair way to anywhere to test any irons. I'm using ping g20s at the moment. I was wondering if the ram fx77 would be a good replacement as i feel they are a bit too oversized now.
I think they'd be a great progression for you - Obviously a bit smaller than the G20's which are rather large. These still come with some offset and forgiveness, so I'd recommend them for the price 100%
I was looking at PXG but saw ram just ordered these in Carbon with graphite. £360 with Ram10 discount code next day delivery
2 PXG iron’s would be £500 😮
@marlinwatches8878 how have you found them, just got my set with graphite shafts but not been able to get out onto the course.
If they play as well as they look then I've picked up a huge bargain
Please rate the grips on scale 1-10

why did you post this same thing on two different video's? Do you work for Ram?
@johnmiller9953 I support affordable clubs. We are not like the rich people who spends thousands of dollars for a set of irons lol
This set for beginers?
They're not the most forgiving irons in the world but they would definitely suit beginners for the price.
Yeah. I'm a beginner

@@pauljohnmarcelino2121these distances are below average btw.
@XX-zu6ot I'm a beginner. It's above average for me cuz I'm making contact. I usually miss lol
Good luck getting a left handed set lol
yep impossible
