Bless your heart. It's so great to know that you are old fashioned. There's nothing wrong with that! I love your house. My daughter and I just bought a house in Hiawassee Ga and we were like you when we bought it. There was nothing. I really prayed about it and it just came together after that. This month is a year that we moved in and we love it. Congratulations.
It’s so refreshing to see a young lady, such as you, with a sweet spirit and godly principles. When you honor God, He will bless your life. It’s apparent you were brought up in a Christian home. Wishing you God’s best in your marriage, your music and your life.
Just a thought on the gas stuff: when we have storms and snow and such, you can still cook and have heat without having to worry about electricity. I'm not saying don't do what you want, but its nice to have warm food when you're freezing from the power being out! :D It's a beautiful house Corie! Glad you're not far away from your Mom.
@@thepressleygirls well, if for anything you can keep the tank and a line to a gas grill for Austin! :D again, it's beautiful. Also, the housing market here in Blue Ridge is outrageous. We got a modular home made for a quarter of the coat of what it would have been to buy a home of comparable size (1800 sq ft, 4 bed, 4 bath). We were blessed by Mom giving us a little land, but even if we had to have gotten the land, we still would have been out cheaper than a traditional home.
Really like the house. Great view. Can’t tell you not to use gas but over all gas is great to have in bad weather. Especially if u have small children and the need warm food or to be kept warm. Nice thing to have is gas burners and electric oven. I was scared of gas for the longest time. But found it very helpful.
@@thepressleygirls Echoing what others are saying about gas. And there's a reason they say "now we're cookin' with gas"! So nice for cooking compared to electric.
As someone who grew up in the country but currently lives in a large city for my job, I'm super jealous of all the trees around your house and the privacy you have from any neighbors. Hopefully someday I can retire and buy a house in the country on some wooded land like you have now.
I would consider keeping all the gas appliances/heat. If you ever lose power you have another heat source and able to cook. Having those things might be a hint into what weather is like there in the winter. 😉
I would love to have a gas stove! There's nothing nicer than to have infinite control of the heat (thinking of sauces). Congratulations on your new home. It's really nice!
Houses around Clarksville Tn. Are selling like hotcakes Lol we bought are home 16 years ago for 160.000 and it has sky rocketed to 320.000 which is crazy. That’s a very nice house y’all have there love the back porch’s and wood ceiling’s and the views are Beautiful!
@@garys1665 The Great Reset. CCP owned Black Rock is buying up entire subdivisions all over America. They want people to be renters and not own. Then your social credit score determines if you are "allowed" to be rented to. Look into Black Rock executives in Bidens Cabinet. It's ALLLLLL by design. It's happening in the UK too.
The market is crazy allover!...You may want to reconsider getting rid of the gas....keep it for backup heat if the power goes out! We lived near Franklin for awhile and loosing power in the winter was a normal thing! Love the house!
You may want to consider keeping the gas cooking stove. Cooking with cast iron you don't have to worry nearly as much about overheating and you can use pans with wobble and heat rings. Gas to cook with goes a long way.
@@thepressleygirls Remember with a regular fireplace without an insert allows the warm air inside the house to be drawn up through the chimney - actually making your home colder. The outside air to replace the warm air drawing up the chimney of course is colder and then it will feel colder. Please keep the propane for backup. You can always purchase your own propane tank and then call around for prices and fill it up with the best deal. And always call for your fill up in the summertime - the prices will be at their lowest. We usually call three places and let them know that we own our own tank and are getting the best prices ; )
Beautiful home! Congratulations! I do agree with some of the comments about the gas stove. We took ours out and put it under our back deck and use it occasionally for canning or cooking. We have a huge cast iron wood heater we use for heat and cooking in the winter.
You’re going to love that Fireplace in a chilly night and the aroma of wood burning, plus you can sit in the room with a good book or someone special to cuddle with
I LOVE your new home! It’s positively lovely. May I suggest you reconsider eliminating the propane? It’s super nice to still be able to cook and heat water on a gas stove during ice storms. It’s really excellent for you to have three energy sources with the wood burning fireplace, gas stove, and electric heaters. 💙
@@thepressleygirls I agree--you should give it a try before ditching all of it. Just get CO2 monitors. We have friends who recently put in a propane tank so that they could install a backup generator for their house and would never lose power. Another one just wanted a gas cooking stove because she hated electric. The house looks great--I think you'll love it!
@@thepressleygirls I remember one winter when I worked for the Forest Service, the power to our mfg home was out for "two weeks" Thank you Jesus we had enough propane to keep us warm. We did our cooking on an old wood burning stove to save on propane. I'm glad we had both.
That deck is worth it all. The cabinets are fixed with just a coat of paint. Congrats - this house looks like a home. The yard, surrounding woods and deck are just incredible!!.
What a beautiful testimony of God's love and faithfulness! Bountiful and Boundless Blessings to you Corie, and Austin! You are such a beautiful young lady and I know how proud your family must be of you! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, and yes we know how crazy the housing market is because we're trying to do the same thing. We pray the same prayer, and know that God is at the helm, so He will guide us to the right one in His timing. He wants good things for His children. So, keep praying HIs promises and you will never go wrong, With God ALL things are possible.❤
I was a little worried at first because I didn't think you guys were married but when you explained my heart was really lifted that you are doing this the right way! The house is beautiful. Remember, asking for guidance is never the wrong thing to do. And when all is asked and done God has not given us a spirit of fear. Blessings for your house!
I am writing from southeast Missouri and am told that the housing market is equally crazy here. Purchasers are offering $10,000 over asking price 😳! Your home is absolutely LOVELY. With all the beautiful surrounding wooded area, I think I would feel as if I were living in a tree house 🤗! Recently viewed your wedding video...just precious! I too am a twin and was so touched by your sisters emotions during your wedding...I get it! Wishing you and Mr. Austin all the best life has to offer. 💝
Ms Pressly, I stumbled across y’all’s channel yesterday and instantly fell in love with y’all’s family. Kind, gentle and hard working people. I look forward to to watching you and your fiancé turning you house into a home. You asked for suggestions, so I’ll pass one on to you. My father always gathered his family (8 of us) around the dinner table for supper. It was there that we kids learned how to pray, argue, forgive, communicate, listen, cry, love, respect etc etc….. For me, memories of our times at the dinner table are so valuable to me. Truly, my dinner table experiences are…..My Cathedral in Life. Steven
I just ran across the Presley family on this old phone I love the way y'all gab at one another I haven't heard Southern speech in a very long time my family grew up with bluegrass and playing instruments really glad to see you the younger people playing and taking interest an instrument my musical talent is turning the knob on my radio and occasionally whacking on it when it don't play right y'all keep up the good music and I love the way mamas talks to y'all y'all have brought a tear to my eye reminding me of family that's been gone quite a while God bless you
Yes! Praying about a purchase like this and putting it in God’s hands and then trusting Him with it is all you need to do - He works out the details if it is meant to be. So happy you’re waiting until marriage to move in and especially proud of you for saying it online as there’s a lot of faith-based kids like y’all, lots of you! (we have 4!), but not enough speak up about it so y’all feel like you’re alone. You’re not. ❤️
Congratulations to you both! Beautiful home. I grew up in eastern Kentucky myself, and that’s a beautiful layout for those mountain plots of land. One thing I’d love to recommend after 32 years of marriage. Have a backup plan during the major weather storms from Mother Nature (winter) in KY. Keep the gas appliances and heating hooked up. You can always cook and heat the family while those rural areas stay out of electrical service for weeks on end.
It's been a year since this video was made... I hope that y'all are enjoying good times in fellowship, blessed in friendships and growing relationships with fruitful seeds scattered throughout your days. 🙏🕊
we just moved into a house here in central louisiana. houses would go on the market and where sold within days or hours. the property was owned by the vetrans administration and literally took us several months to get closed, title issues and government red tape. bur we got our interest rate at 2.75% and with about 20k of equity built in 67k if you count the down payment. long story short Gods hand was in every part of it, housing was going so fast that God working for us is the only reason we where able to get it. Love seeing your videos and glad to see young people with OLD fashion values. God bless. Philippians 4:13
This house is lovely! I especially like the two porches/decks. It's really three layers, what with the space under the main floor deck. That walkway from the road looks super helpful. It will make moving furniture into the house much easier. Congratulations.
Your house is beautiful, I love it and the woods around you.. Don't worry you are not old fashioned getting married first, you are doing it exactly the right way which is the Lords way ...congratulations to you both 😊
Your faith in the Lord is refreshing and will serve you well . We too met online & he moved from another region ,lived with friends until after we got married. Many blessings will occur on those porches/decks ! Like that screen door too,the sound of it even !
I live in San Diego, CA and the housing market is crazy here!!! It’s funny because I thought it was because I was here but from what you said and the comments it’s like that everywhere!! People are buying houses cash (mind you the average price of a home here is 600,000-1 million) and they’re paying cash!!! Also, some people are bidding 50,000 over asking price and it’s just crazy!!!
Just sold our second home that we had for 13yrs. In less than a week it was sold again for $90,000 more than we sold it for. It was in the Smokey Mtns. on the park boundary and back side of Cades Cove. I loved it but it just got more than we could manage through the pandemic and some health issues. I miss it everyday. I'm a mountain girl and still live in the mountains of KY. The housing market is out of control in TN and KY. People are leaving the cities and trying to find a better place. It's crazy. I so happy y'all got a beautiful place and I hope you enjoy every day you are there. You have a great place to film and play your music. I miss that the most about my TN porch. I had those wooden ceilings in my bedroom and on the floor and walls. It makes great music.
I live in Southern California and the housing market is crazy here as well (usually is) but more so now. Houses are selling for $100k+ more than the asking price because people are bidding against each other to get houses and many of them are buying before ever even seeing the property. Craziness!
I am so happy for you both ! So thankful you have prayed about this and all the things you have considered . The house is beautiful and it just seems right for you ! I really like your covered decks and the walk way to the house . Everything seems so handy . The flowers are beautiful ! I might add also - - and I did see where someone else commented , you may want to reconsider getting rid of the gas. We have a gas range and love it. Cooks much faster than electric . Also if you have some gas heaters , they are so great when the power goes off . We have 2 . Now they don’t heat our whole house but it is great to be able to stay warm if you are snowed in or iced in . A lot of times you can live without electricity but you need to have a way to cook and stay warm . Just something to think about . It will be your beautiful home so do what you feel comfortable with . Love you and Congratulations and Best Wishes on your upcoming marriage . So very proud of you ! Thankful you could find a house not too far from your home ! Isn’t God good ! I know you all are excited !
We will probably keep a 100 gallon bottle in case it does go out. And since we’re close to Mom and Dad we could bum off them 😂. Thank you and I hope you guys are well we love y’all! ❤️🤠🙏💕
Franklin, Tennessee here. Nashville housing market is on another level insane lol! Folks are waking up to peoples houses asking to buy, cash. My friends just sold their house this way. What an awesome chapter! ✌🏽
I live in Southern Oregon. We bought our house 7.5 years ago and it has nearly doubled in value since we bought! I don’t know how anyone buys now. It is just a 3/2 on an acre and 1900 square feet. The value now is almost $600,000!!!
I'm so happy for you and Austin, Corie. This is an exciting time in your lives. So much to look forward to. It's very evident to your viewers that you are very family oriented, so it's great that you were able to find a house near them. Best wishes to you both!
So happy for you & Austin. Beautiful home & beautiful setting. You are right, when you allow God to lead you - there is no need to worry. Enjoy you and your family so much.
Corie, it's a beautiful house, it's a perfect house for you and Austin! I love everything about it, even the red kitchen cabinets. Why don't you leave them for a while and see if you can come to love them...just a thought! Congratulations to you and Austin!
1] housing market in South New Jersey/Philadelphia area is also insane. Was viewing a mobile home (trailer) on line. Was offered in 2017 for $20,000 but no takers. Now $98,000!! PS I agree w/ others about keeping the gas, especially if your area is prone to bad weather & power outages.
I sugggest that you keep your gas appliances , they really come in handy when the power grid goes down ! And gas cooks so much better than electric . I luv your new place. I do agree on the cabinets though , whew that's a bunch of red .
Congrats! My new wife (Judy) and I married 5.20.21, are closing on our new home in two weeks. And YES, the housing market here in Catawba County (Conover) is crazy! Just as you described, on and off the market in hours. We too both being 60, planned to rent, but was not going to pay someone else's mortgage! From what we are seeing, it is this way nation wide. Again Congrats to you and Austin. Yours and Katie's videos have brought us lots of enjoyment. We would love to meet you two some day.
How fun it would be if we could meet! Also congrats on being married!! And indeed renting is just insane when it costs so much. I mean the home isn’t even yours! Thanks for being with us on this journey!
Congratulations on your new home Corie!! Consider yourself very lucky to be able to buy a house in this market. Prices are crazy high all over. I live 1 hour NW of New York City (the Appalachian Trail is located on the mountain right in front of my house!) and the prices for house have skyrocketed!! Due to the pandemic and people working from home, lots of wealthy residents of NYC are buying second homes up here to get away and have more space when they need it. This is pushing prices way up! People are offering $100K over asking price in cash just to acquire a home.
Yes‼️ The old washing machines work so much better than the new ones! We bought a washer and dryer for $200 together when we got married. They had been repaired by a friend of the family and sold. We got several years of use out of them despite them being very used, broken and repaired to be sold to us.
You found a great house. Love the wide decks. I can imagine having morning coffee on the upstairs one, or at least stepping out to see what the weather's like before you get dressed. Love the porch swing, the fireplace, the beadboard, the wood ceilings, the yard...I even like the red cabinets. But my favorite part is the sound of the spring on the screen door; that takes me back. I think you're wise to buy a house. Every bit you pay on the principle is yours. I'd suggest paying a little extra on the principle each month if you can, even if it's just a few dollars. Yes, here in SoCal housing costs are crazy. On my street of 65-year-old tract homes a 1365 sq. ft. fixer upper just sold as is for $850,000, and that's below market. May you and Austin be very happy in your house for many years.
I’m so happy for y’all and I’m very glad you won’t be to far away from your roots! I hope we see a video of a family celebration on that beautiful porch with good old mountain music! I’m already seeing Katie playing her fiddle while Austin and maybe your dad manning the grill and mom prepping all the side dishes you putting out the sweets. No matter what I’m praying God truly blesses this house until it’s your home sweet home!
We built a house this year because of the housing market. It’s a really good market to sell in, no so much to buy in. We live in the Fort Bragg area and YES- houses getting sold 2 hours after going on the market 💯.
Yes the housing market is NUTTS all over. I lost our house in 2010 to the bank with the last of 4 kids still at home ( 12th grade then ). Long story short...2013 Eric started school for welding and in 2014 I moved into his apartment with my 4 kittens and my bake ware to help him out, ( he doesn't cook ) and after he graduated in 2015 we split on our own paths. I bought a 326 sq ft 5th wheel RV and headed for the southwest desert (fron Minnesota snows ) and lived full time in it (with my cats all growed up now ) until last April when I traded the truck & 5th wheel in for a big ole class A motor coach ( much easier to get around ) and tow a little etty bitty 4X4 car (Trixie). So yes I gave up the crazy chase for this. And thats that. Best of luck and skill to you all for ever !💝
Congratulations on the purchase of your first home! Such a beautiful home on a gracious and lovely lot. LOVE the decks as well. 🥰 A Georgia fan and new subscriber. ☺️
I don't know where you are at, but what a beautiful home. God has truly blessed you both. Praise the Lord 🙏🌹💖 I currently live in a 750 square foot home, which is only 3bedrooms/1bathroom in California. There's 6 of in this house & we're blessed to be in it. It's paid for which is a blessing 🙏
The housing market is crazy everywhere! You are so fortunate to find something you could afford, that it is in a nice area and close to your family and that you prayed about it for God’s will to be done… and that Austin was agreeable on the buying of the house. Congratulations 💕!!
You're not being old fashioned by waiting to be married before you live together. That's called "Your parents raised you right". I really like your house. I would make the basement a recording studio.
My daughter is 30 and she isn’t married. She has dated a few losers unfortunately. But she says she will not live with a man until marriage. Her Grandmother instilled this into her thank goodness. One bit of advice. Better to be with nobody than the wrong body. Love y’all and especially your music.
Hello, Corie, I am new to yours and your sister's channel. I just began looking at your Mother's channel and love it, too! I was watching the video you made planting new things in your yard. My husband has worked in the potting soil industry for over 30 years and has a little tip for you. As he watched the products that you're using he mentioned that the best soil you could use would be your parent's compost soil. He said that if you simply buy some peat and used a good fertilizer specific to vegetables and flowers, you should have good success. Mix it up together, then use it where you need to make a new bed or in the planting tower. The product that we saw you using called "Garden Soil" he says is not very good material. Not a whole lot of nutrients. Your new home is beautiful and suits you and Austin. You are a precious couple and are a shining example of a lovely, wholesome Christian couple. Many blessings in your new life together!
Your new home is beautiful! Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, houses are going very fast, and there are bidding wars going on. It’s amazing. The demand for housing has just tripled. I’m glad you two were able to get in this charming little house in the woods! Walking out on the decks is like being in a magic forest. You guys will have so much fun with your family and friends in those decks. Let the good times roll!! ♥️❣️🙏🏼❣️♥️
Did you see all the water damage on the basement walls? You might not want to get rid of gas stoves ,you will need them in winter being you just have electric heat, and an open fire place. Just think about. Good luck with your new home, nice place.
Housing market is brutal here in Indiana. I have family and friends all over the country. Same everywhere. We stopped looking after a year in a half, March this year. 10 offer's in since January, all cash offers, and all not getting inspection's. We can't do that. . I'm the same way about praying. Always go to God first. It's a beautiful home. I'm so very happy for you both.🌹🙏💯❤️🥳
Thank you for this video! I love several things about it. #1 - Love that you let the Lord lead you in all this! #2 - Love that you are keeping it right and proper between you and Austin. #3 - Love your new home! It was an honor to see your new place and I have to say it is 1000% beautiful there. Please keep sharing. You and your sister are sweet and charming. Thank you again! Love, peace and blessings to you all. 🙏🏻😊💖
Housing is crazy here in AZ, too. So many people moving here from California! Like you said, Sight Unseen! We sold our house and are living in a camper. We want to travel and hopefully come back home, east TN/western NC (Robbinsville) where we grew up. God bless you and your wedding! Good girl! 💒
I live in BC Canada. House prices, rentals have been really high for the last few years. My favorite part is the swing on the porch. ❤ I pray one day I have a porch with a swing. God bless you in your new home.🎉 I enjoy your RUclips videos. 💕
I live in California. My parents are from Missouri and Ohio. But for a city girl I was raised pretty much the same. ( without the beautiful mountains.) but I just love listening to you and your mom. Reminds me of home🥰 Keep up the awesome videos 😘
Yep, I’m up here in the Blue Ridge Mts. Of VA & the housing market has been insane. My fiancé & I just bought a house, too, & like y’all, he’s moving in first as we work on things until September when we get married, & then I’ll move in. Also like y’all, our new house is only a few minutes from my family home, which I’m really excited about! Congratulations on your new home!
P.s. I left a comment after first seeing this video. But I forgot something, the little bird on your deck had something in his beak and it looked like some kind of nest building material. I've seen this little bird here where I live. It's a Carolina Wren. He's a tiny bird but he has a tremendous song. They build in very small place out of the weather when possible. I thought it was very appropriate for a "Carolina Wren" to be building his home on or near " YOUR NEW HOME " Just a thought! Jeri Whittaker
Yes Keep the gas! When the power goes out you can still heat. Have hot water and even get a gas fitting for a BBQ to cook. We went through a week long winter storm once and all the neighbors went to a shelter. We stayed home comfortably with all the convenience. Plus it was what sold our house for quite a bit of money when we were ready to get a bigger house.
It is so refreshing to see a young lady who follows and lives out her Christian moral- God Bless you Corie- Don't ever be afraid to follow the Lord- we need more of that. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials. When is the blessed event?
Blueberry bushes AND blackberry brambles??? I'm jealous! Only surprise plant I have at my new place was a small clump of iris back on the alley. Congrats!
I'm not the usual demographic of viewers on your channel, being an Asian American who lives in Los Angeles, California; but I love your content and your mom's! You all are like a breath of fresh air. 🥰I just thought I'd chime in to say there is hardly any inventory of homes out here. People are fighting over ~1,000 sq ft. condos built in the 70s, offering upwards of $800k for them, and even offering up the full price in cash!! And that's in the suburbs too, not even in downtown proper!!!! It's insane
Don't get rid of gas. It's cheaper than electricity. Baseboard heaters will run up your electric bill in the winter. I recommend adding a woodstove. Great h eat producers. Way More efficient than a fireplace. Cooking on a gas stove you can control the heat better than electric. Especially the dreaded glass top electric. I know its been two years but these are my tips.
Congratulations, Austin and Corie!!! The housing market has tripled in prices in most areas across the country. You're blessed to have been able to find a home that you like and were able to buy it, too!!! It is beautiful, and not alot to do, change, etc... I actually like the red kitchen, and could see a rooster theme going there, but it will be fun to see what you two do with it!!! I, too would keep the gas, as prices can fluctuate with gas and electric, and it's always good to have a backup. Love the porches, walkway, that the basement is finished, everything is pretty perfect and ready to go!!! The yard will be so much fun to landscape a bit more, and the scenery is gorgeous!!! God Bless you both, and have fun decorating, etc!!!
Thank you so much! We are such scaredy-cats about the gas 😱 lol! But a rooster theme might be pretty cool! And landscaping will be fun, Katie said she wants that to be her project! The housing market is just so off the handle insane right now we are most blessed to land this place! Thank you for being along on the journey!
Yes, gas can be a scary thing. Did the real estate agent or previous owners show you how to use it? We live in Minnesota, and have both gas and electric, although our gas is natural. Even so, we live about 30 feet from the Magellen pipeline, which is connected to the main fuel line to our 2 airports. We live 15 miles south of the Mall of America in Apple Valley, MN, and the airports are right across the freeway from the mall. We currently rent, as I am divorced, and my 2 young adult sons live at home still. One is severely disabled, and my other son and I work full-time for him as his PCAs, plus my other son has a part-time job besides, and I have a small gift business that I run from home. We have been looking for a house, but they sell faster than we can keep up with. The right thing will come along when it's supposed to. We are traveling alot this year, (just returned from Branson, MO a couple of weeks ago), so, it's probably a good thing that things are the way they are right now. But you two will figure everything out the way you want it to be, and feel comfortable with, and all will be fine!!! The wood ceilings are beautiful, too!!!
@@jama17gill Thank you for sharing! They actually didn’t show us how to use it. Just told us we would have to contact the gas company. Thanks for commenting and supporting our video. God bless and I hope y’all find a house soon! 🙏💕
@@thepressleygirls Oh, wow. Well, definitely call the gas company then. Also: You are so blessed to also have all the berry bushes, and wild life to watch and nurture!!! Can't wait to see how things progress with your beautiful, new house!!! Thank You, and yes, we keep looking!!! God Bless you all, too!!!
The key in the closet door - they probably stored their guns in there, used it as a gun cabinet. Nice, nice house!! Love all the porches, the fireplace, nice roomy kitchen and pantry, nice basement, nice yard - good job!!!
I absolutely love this house, your decision making process with the Lord at every step. I love that you and Austin are not living together before marriage. God bless you richly in your marriage. As to the housing market, here in Nebraska it is the same. More people buying than housing available. They sell overnight here too and the prices are high because of it.
Congratulations! So exciting! My favorite part of the house are the decks! Proud of you both for doing things God's way, He will continue to bless you..
Hi Corie and Austin. I love the pretty house y'all bought. It has so much potential. My favorite things about it are the exterior paint color, stone fireplace with wooden mantel, the porch swing on the deck, and the adorable garden statue. What a nice yard, too. Best wishes to you both as you turn the page to this next chapter in your young lives. The current housing market in southwest Florida is crazy, too. Rent is sky-high for apts. as well as houses, and the few homes for sale are going like hot cakes in a bakery.
@@thepressleygirls Yes, I agree that y'all are very blessed to get such a lovely house. It appears well-maintained. I thought about something you might wish to consider: Years ago in Georgia a neighbor couple bought a house with BURGUNDY kitchen cabinets. They decided to whitewash over the dark red with a special whitewash paint which allowed some of the burgundy to bleed through, and the result was so unique and beautiful that even now, 25 years later, I recall how much everyone seemed to love, admire, and talk about those stunning cabinets. They were different and not the least bit boring or just like all other kitchen cabinets. Perhaps ask a painter about doing something like that to the red cabinets you're not very fond of.
It's not "old fashioned", honey. It's respectable and upright.
Beautiful home & you're so awesome!!
Need more young people like you in our country!
Thank you!
God bless you for "being a little old fashioned." Girl you're doing things right! The Lord will bless your decision!
Thank you! 🙏💕
Amen!

Keep the gas! Its soooo much better than electric
🤠
I agree! I have a gas stove. I wish more things were gas.
Agreed! So much better!
Good to have the heating option in the winter if power goes out in an ice storm.
@@RoderickGMacLeod yes and it cooks better and if power goes out, u can still cook
Beautiful home! As a believer, I appreciate your standards. God bless you and your boyfriend.
Thank you! 💕
As someone who grew up in the country but currently lives in a large city for my job, I'm super jealous of all the trees around your house and the privacy you have from any neighbors. Hopefully someday I can retire and buy a house in the country on some wooded land like you have now.
Yes, I hope you will find the perfect house for you!
You can put metal slide out shelves in pantry. That way you will be able to see what's in the back of it!
I would consider keeping all the gas appliances/heat. If you ever lose power you have another heat source and able to cook. Having those things might be a hint into what weather is like there in the winter. 😉
We will probably keep a 100 gallon tank in case 🤠
I was very happy to hear that you are “Old Fashioned”. 🙂
❤️🙏💕
Same here. We need more of that!
Amen!!
The market is crazy allover!...You may want to reconsider getting rid of the gas....keep it for backup heat if the power goes out! We lived near Franklin for awhile and loosing power in the winter was a normal thing! Love the house!
We were thinking of maybe keeping the line and just having like a 100 gallon Lowe’s bottle out back. We also have a wood fireplace 🤠
@@mygarden365 Thanks for the advice! 🤠💕🙏
Beautiful home! Congratulations! I do agree with some of the comments about the gas stove. We took ours out and put it under our back deck and use it occasionally for canning or cooking. We have a huge cast iron wood heater we use for heat and cooking in the winter.
Those smaller closets look to be lined with pressed cedar. Might want to check before ripping them out and putting in boarded cedar.
Good point!
We are thinking of maybe keeping some of it around now! Thank you. We just maybe need to get over the fear of it? I guess we just aren’t used to it!
@@thepressleygirls I am the biggest scardy cat in the world but I will only cook on gas.
@@thepressleygirls I remember one winter when I worked for the Forest Service, the power to our mfg home was out for "two weeks" Thank you Jesus we had enough propane to keep us warm. We did our cooking on an old wood burning stove to save on propane. I'm glad we had both.
I agree! Gas heat and appliances are what we look for in homes now that we have lived with and without it. We much prefer it!
This place is beautiful! I especially like the yard. Give God the Glory and be blessed.

What a beautiful testimony of God's love and faithfulness! Bountiful and Boundless Blessings to you Corie, and Austin!

Ms Pressly,
I stumbled across y’all’s channel yesterday and instantly fell in love with y’all’s family.

Welcome to the channel and thank you so much, we definitely want to have a nice dinner table 🙏💕
Osiyo. If there were more young people like you folks. This would be a whole much better world. Shalom .

You’re not. ❤️
Thank you! 🙏💕
Yes that’s a good idea!
It's been a year since this video was made... I hope that y'all are enjoying good times in fellowship, blessed in friendships and growing relationships with fruitful seeds scattered throughout your days. 🙏🕊
Thank you! 🙏
we just moved into a house here in central louisiana. houses would go on the market and where sold within days or hours. the property was owned by the vetrans administration and literally took us several months to get closed, title issues and government red tape. bur we got our interest rate at 2.75% and with about 20k of equity built in 67k if you count the down payment. long story short Gods hand was in every part of it, housing was going so fast that God working for us is the only reason we where able to get it.

Wow that is wild! I’d love to have that much cash 😂
Same in Illinois!!
Orange County here 🙌🏻
Just sold our second home that we had for 13yrs.
Craziness!
Wow! Your place is beautiful. So peaceful. And I love the decks and the wood ceilings! Glad you're still close to your Mom and Dad🥰🎊
Thank you!
So happy for you Corrie. You deserve happiness. The house 🏠 is awesome. God Bless you 🙏 both.

Very nice, Corie! You'll be very happy there. Blessings to your new home so it may bring harmony, love and peace.
I sugggest that you keep your gas appliances , they really come in handy when the power grid goes down ! And gas cooks so much better than electric . I luv your new place. I do agree on the cabinets though , whew that's a bunch of red .
To much red indeed! And this is true, we are just a little fearful of it!
Sweet little 1st home!--Great job guys
Congratulations on your new home Corie!! Consider yourself very lucky to be able to buy a house in this market. Prices are crazy high all over.
I live 1 hour NW of New York City (the Appalachian Trail is located on the mountain right in front of my house!) and the prices for house have skyrocketed!! Due to the pandemic and people working from home, lots of wealthy residents of NYC are buying second homes up here to get away and have more space when they need it. This is pushing prices way up! People are offering $100K over asking price in cash just to acquire a home.
Wow that’s wild! Thanks for watching! 🙏🤠
Yes‼️ The old washing machines work so much better than the new ones! We bought a washer and dryer for $200 together when we got married. They had been repaired by a friend of the family and sold. We got several years of use out of them despite them being very used, broken and repaired to be sold to us.
The little bird is called a Carolina Wren. The stone fireplace is really nice. Beautiful place. Congratulations.
I used to say 20:46 to my grandson, "There's our friend the wren." He'd laugh and chuckle at grandma being silly 😊.
Thanks for watching ☺️

WOW super nice first home. Can't even imagine being able to afford such a nice home at such a young age. Congrats.
Your new home is beautiful! Here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, houses are going very fast, and there are bidding wars going on. It’s amazing. The demand for housing has just tripled.

Did you see all the water damage on the basement walls? You might not want to get rid of gas stoves ,you will need them in winter being you just have electric heat, and an open fire place. Just think about. Good luck with your new home, nice place.

Blueberry bushes AND blackberry brambles??? I'm jealous! Only surprise plant I have at my new place was a small clump of iris back on the alley. Congrats!
Yes! Keep the gas. When the power goes out you can still stay warm and cook. There are advantages to gas.
We are considering it!
Lightly sand the cedar closet walls as that will bring out the scent that repels bugs.

It's insane
Love it so serene !
Tipper and Matt will be lost empty nesters !
I will be back a lot! 😂
My daughter lived in NC and she and her friends found the same issue - houses gone in 2 hours! Crazy stuff
Glad God provided
Don't get rid of gas. It's cheaper than electricity. Baseboard heaters will run up your electric bill in the winter. I recommend adding a woodstove. Great h eat producers. Way More efficient than a fireplace. Cooking on a gas stove you can control the heat better than electric. Especially the dreaded glass top electric. I know its been two years but these are my tips.
Congratulations, your home is very nice and cosy looking, enjoy.
Oh I'm so very happy for you and Austin!!! Your home is gorgeous!!!

You will never regret doing things GOD's way. Blessings to a sweet couple and sister and brother in Christ. 💝
The key in the closet door - they probably stored their guns in there, used it as a gun cabinet. Nice, nice house!! Love all the porches, the fireplace, nice roomy kitchen and pantry, nice basement, nice yard - good job!!!
I never thought of that! Thanks for watching!
I absolutely love this house, your decision making process with the Lord at every step. I love that you and Austin are not living together before marriage. God bless you richly in your marriage. As to the housing market, here in Nebraska it is the same. More people buying than housing available. They sell overnight here too and the prices are high because of it.
Thank you!
Congratulations! So exciting! My favorite part of the house are the decks! Proud of you both for doing things God's way, He will continue to bless you..
Thank you! 🙏💕
Thank you so much! We love it and are so lucky and blessed to have been able to get it!
@@sandip.7968 That’s a wonderful idea, thank you! 🙏💕
There is nothin wrong with being old fashioned... the world needs more women like you your momma and your sister. God bless yall. Keep on keepin on...
Thank you!
Beautiful home! And blueberries and blackberries! And a porch swing!
