Thanks it's lot different than my first Corvette 1960. Now I have a 1978 fresh drag car that has all the parts, screw, etc that came off labeled and boxed. Caged, great body with new body to frame pads and 496 ci, with all support items race prep trans, etc. Super paint job, but...pro stock dash, Auto meter, fuel cell, and looks stock with no spoiler but hood riser is about inch taller, Hooker SS header side pipes, dual stage NOS stinger, tank, puter, etc new in the box just open. No air, wipers, ps, heater, but 765 hp big block Chevy at 6100 rpm, 12.5 to 1 compression. For me perfect putting in back as my fun grocery car. The handicap tag goes great with the Weld wheels and Mickey Thompson DOT drag slicks! I'm 66 yrs old and I wanted the kind of set up I built 30 yrs ago for a living. Wish you was a neighbor we have to try those cool three race track drive and drag 1320 shows. I live about 30 minutes from Commerce Georgia drag strip where they start and end. Like your Vette nice and great to see young guy doing man things, turning wrenches! My family Doctor said I was totally crazy then ask if I would give his 12 yr old son a ride in it when I put NOS on it. Now that's just cool. What you showed is great so I know what to expect if I have a boo boo...ha ha ha! Super video and ever in North Georgia come visit! In 80's I owned ran speed Shop the first with cryo fill station NOS. Good luck also we got Road Atlanta just down the road👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!

Kind of a long shot, but I've got to ask.. Does anyone know where I can find a front bumper impact cushion for an 82 vette?? The honeycomb piece?! Please let me know!

When you say you were grinding off a bit of the side of the retainer, what tool do you use for something like that?

If you are referring to the retainer that gets glued to inside of the bumper, I used a bench grinder. I ground the retainer on the car with a hand held right angle grinder with a 4" disc.

This is not necessary on a 1973 but would be helpful
