I have this pressure cooker, have had it 3-4 years & user it all the time. Make lots of Mac & cheese in it among lots of other things. Here's easy peasy recipe for Mac & cheese. 2.5 cups macaroni 2 Tbsp. butter 3 cups water Place in PC Set on Menu #6 (chicken) Set time 6 minutes If hissing when coming to pressure, give lid a quick press down & it will seal. Quick release Add: 2 cups shredded cheese, whatever you like 2 oz. Cream cheese 1 tsp paprika 1/4 tsp white pepper Stir until well mixed If too dry, add a little milk Waalaa easy Mac & Cheese & so good.
I have one and debating in the future if I will take it with me, it is in the plus column. I have seen many, many videos of people living full time in vans, or buses, or rv's etc and they all like this cooker.
It takes a long time to pressurize. I thought mine wasn't working at first lol. It depends on how much liquid is in it. The more liquidy the faster it will pressurize. 💖💜💖
@@SuzesCarnivoreLifeAfterBypass I figured it out. You choose your P06 (or whatever one and choose "Time Cook" and then the + or - button. Thanks for trying to help.
I use dry beans in it instead of pasta these days. They turn out perfect! Trial and error lol. I absolutely love mine. I'm actually cooking dinner in it right now. 💖💜💖
My lid is locked to the pot, not the base, but the inner pot! I've tried 3 days to figure it out. I've used it several times, never had this to happen. I don't know what's wrong, and almost to the point of throwing it away and just got back to the old fashioned crock pot. Someone please help! 😵
You can't change time on all menu options. I use Chicken #6 to cook elbow macaroni then press time & lower time to 6 minutes & press start. When timer goes off, quick release pressure, your pasta won't become mushy.
But she did stop the cooking three minutes ahead of time I’m used to Kraft Dinner mac & cheese which you rinse I guess you could rinse this also or use no rinse pasta?
How long have you had yours? It could be that the rubber gasket isn't sitting in there quite right. I hope you can figure it out. They take a really long time and depending on what it is sometimes up to 20 minutes before they'll actually start to come to full pressure and the little knob will pop out. The first time I used mine I kept stopping it because I thought it was supposed to pressurize right away and it took about the 15 minutes before it was pressurized. 💖💜💖
@@SuzesCarnivoreLifeAfterBypass I've had it since Christmas, but I've used it once before. It locks fine without the inner pot, but when I put it in, it's like something is stopping the lid from locking🙂
Thanks for watching! It takes awhile. Sometimes like 20 minutes depending on how much liquid is in there. The first few times I used it I kept stopping it because I thought it should pressurized right away lol. And every once in a while I will have something in there that doesn't have quite enough liquid and it won't pressurize at all but it will eventually run through the timer and still cook good. Just be patient LOL. I absolutely love mine and if it broke I would definitely run out and get another one right away. 💖💜💖

How do you get the timer under 30 minutes? I can't figure it out!
I don't think you can. 😔

Could you cook Mashed Potatoes by any chance using the Farberware?
Oh yes! I've cooked potatoes in it many times. I used the beans setting and they turned out perfect. I love this thing! 💖💜💖
just got one, but as it started cooking the red button never popped up
Over cooked pasta 😩 but looks good ..
I’m about to use mine I’m scared lol

Need to quick release pressure as soon as timer goes off & pasta comes out perfect.

I'm sorry sweetie haven't no idea how to help. Mine always unlocks nice. I hope you get it fixed. 💖💜💖
Do you have to take the ret knob out when cooking?
The instructions say not to make that in that.
Oh you didn't put cheese in it. Ok. Sorry
Make what in what???
Make what in what? 🤔
Just throw a towel over and let it catch the steam I swear I do mind
I do that every time. I don't have the patience to wait lol.
You didn’t show how you set the time . That’s what I can’t get mine to do

You needed to release pressure right when it was done!!! It kept cooking the way you did it. Shouldn't have"winged it".
I am so in love with my Farberware pressure cooker I can't even begin to tell you. I use that thing several times a week. 💖💜💖
But she did stop the cooking three minutes ahead of time
I’m used to Kraft Dinner mac & cheese which you rinse I guess you could rinse this also or use no rinse pasta?
I hope you didn't listen to Adeline. You can do whatever the heck you want and "wing it" anytime 👍
I usually release the pressure as soon as it's done. I put a towel on it so the steam doesn't go everywhere lol. 💖💜💖
Como cocer frijoles
Did you align the symbols together?
I can't get the lid to lock in, I don't know why...

Put lid on & turn counter clockwise. This PC is just too easy to use.
