    Thanks Joseph ... I bought the wall mount because it will be barely noticeable and I am confident it will solve various wifi weak signal problems here. I also had to buy a longer Cat8 Eth cable to simplify the setup, BUT ... cost? total is $28. And about 45 minutes of my time to get everything installed and tidy. Thanks for your great content.

    I just received my long wall mount kit and when I opened it, I found that they sent me a used one. There was no cardboard in it like there was with the dish and the wall kit for the cable. The worst part is that I’m missing the screws and clips! I finally figured out how to send in a support ticket! It’s ridiculous that he doesn’t have a call-center! According to one of your earlier videos, I could be waiting up to two weeks. I’m going to take your advice and post every day to hopefully speed up the process. If the booklet had of listed the dimensions for the screws, I could just go to the hardware store and buy them.

    Nice product demo. I used a third party mesh network from Netgear with SL in bypass mode. It's a few years old, but it does the job. Aside from clearing up some shelf space I don't see a use for this. Maybe when I build my data closet.😊

    We use deco axe5400 with a TP-Link 16 port unmanaged switch. We have a few of our points hardline and it does amazing. Set up is user friendly, practical sets itself up, this system was overkill, but it’s amazing and we can expand it as needed(cameras, NAS, Poe items).
    I put my starlink as high as we could before but now with the mesh system we are good to go. Definitely could have used that stand before the mesh system set up 😂

The coverage is great, I litterally have coverage about a 7 acre radius around my house with no outside satalites. The issue i have had, is when trabsfering PC to PC or PC to server the back haul Is never advertised speeds of 600-800Mbps. It seems to always rest around 140Mbps.

    I have a tp-link ax11000 router and wanted better wifi around my house. I picked up a mesh system. I returned the mesh system, because my signal was marginally better in some areas and worse in others. My router sits high on an open shelf. I took my wifi extender from my garage and got about the same wifi as the mesh, but I was hoping for magic, I suppose.

    I have a related question. My home has metal siding. I have plenty of signal everywhere inside, but it falls off dramatically outside (likely due to the metal siding). I have several old routers that I could use as point of access to extend my signal outside, but I live in a very cold climate. I live right on the US/CA border at 4,000' (1,220m) elv. Last winter we hit -36F (-38C), so ya it gets bitter cold here. Just sticking a router or any PoA device outside will likely not work long. Are there any other options for folks like me? I did try to find out if there is an option to just run an antenna outside, but did not come up with anything.

    • @jcristina
      @jcristina  Год назад +1

      I use a TP-Link outdoor AP as seen in my video description which has worked over the course of a few hurricanes.. Not sure about the cold but I would not doubt they would work. You can also build a box / enclosure to keep the elements at bay.

    Having slow connection issues slow speed when checking on Starlink app but get faster speeds when using any other speed testing site
    In the advanced settings on Starlink app in the debug section under status all the dots are green but 1 and it says
    ( slow earthnet lan link ) what does this mean. Are they referring to my switch that powers my outside WiFi antenna?

    • @wjonthetrail
      @wjonthetrail Год назад

      I’m wondering if the switch I installed for my other device is bad or could it be the wired connection. The router I have only has the 1 port so I had to buy the cable with an external port to connect to. Could this be why I’m getting a slow lan link connection

    No Starlink router here but I’ve got a cellular router. I turned off WiFi and feed internet to a FireWalla firewall router that feeds two TP-Link access points in a mesh network.

    It keeps a record of all uploads allowing me to block all the suspicious ones.
