What boxes did you use ?
Thanks for the hack. I usually use one box , pull the lid up and seal the other side with wrapper paper. This trick nicer (perhaps more expensive) as it's give more support

That's not gonna work because when it's a round tall cake with decorated candy, just one small turn in the car and the top edges of the cake will hit those narrow sides of the box, just get a bigger box they are available for the same price as those two boxes at any baking supply web or shop.
Is there another alternative to the stapling it just seems a bit dangerous
Place tape over the staples OR eliminate the staples and just use tape

Will this work for a 3 tiered cake 4, 6 and 8 inch? I will try my best to not make is higher than 12 inches
Yes it can. But for a 3 tier I would highly recommend a single 12” or 14” tall box, it’s much more sturdier

Which cake boxes did you use ? And I am making a 2 tier cake 8 and 6 in should I bet a 10 or 12 inch cake box
The size of the box is 12x12x6. For a 8 and 6 inch cake I recommend placing it on a 12 inch drum and a 12 inch box
