    Note: It was brought to my attention that minimum crit range does not exist on any weapons anymore. Disregard any mention of the mechanic in weapon notes.

    As someone new to the game I appreciate these guides and builds you put up. Looked for some builds and so many are outdated now with changes. Remnant will be my go to game for the remainder of 2021 and maybe beyond. It’s just one of those games that I have fun investing hours into.

      Glad to hear you are having fun with the game! I currently have around 650 hours in Remnant and I am still learning new things every time I boot it up.

    I really love the Hunting Rifle, there's just something really satisfying about running a lever-action rifle

    I totally agree on the ruin. For me it doesn't matter what game and what difficulty I'm playing I always prefer stuff that makes me a bigger threat, than safety nets of any kind. Only exception is Krieg in BL2
    Sucks that they had to relock undying to the ruin in hell mod

    Ruin’s low damage combined with it being a burst rifle kills its viability to me compared to Hunting Rifle. Often enemies that stagger throw off your burst shots or miss weak spots; I noticed this especially just fighting the basic Earth Root.

    Really comprehensive guide, definitely opened my eyes to a fair few of these guns.
    One point of disagreement I have though about Ruin and maybe the particle accelerator builds.
    I’ve found that making your build focus on crit damage combined with Ruin is the way to go rather than focusing on its mod. Ruin gives both excellent range and fire rate making it a suitable sniper/combat rifle, so focusing on increasing your critical hit damage should be your focus as it can do some fairly nasty burst damage.
    The mod is definitely lacking in some aspects but even without Ezlans band can be good in a pinch, but definitely not the best mod.
    I would say similarly with the particle accelerator build in focusing more on sheer crit damage, but unlike Ruin, that weapon’s mod is pretty powerful.
    Such a shame honestly about Ruin, it should have had another gimmick to it’s mod, or maybe be the only boss weapon with a second mod slot for any other mod you have while keeping the undying trait. That would have easily made it S tier for me

      I never thought about building ruin that way before! I will have to give it a try soon! Thanks for the feedback!

      @@WryHarpy Glad to be of inspiration!
      I'm no master Apocalypse runner like you and I don't have all the items, but when going for a setup like that, I can get Ruin to reliably do 770+ damage per bullet when hitting reds.
      I bet you can make that number higher.
      Hell, since you have the nightmare spiral, maybe it'd be a decent life leech weapon and then the undying trait is just a way to give you virtual immortality.

    7:28 does the game still keep minimum crit of 12.5 meters ?

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  Год назад

      Thankfully not, the wiki, where I got my information from says it exists but the devs actually removed the minimum crit distance mechanic in 2019 haha.

    I missed this somehow, so here I am now after about almost two full weeks
    As for feedback, I don't really have any for this. Text speed is much more manageable and is good for me to read, and thanks for putting which items are DLC are not. Really helps when looking into what I need to swap out and change when trying out these builds for myself.
    I really got nothing to say other than thanks for the video, and also Ruin is most definitely the worst gun in the list. I love burst rifles, so I enjoyed playing with Ruin a lot, but I can't count how many times I audibly said "I wish I was using the Hunting Rifle/Eye of the Storm" just due to the fact that Undying is incredibly useless, and also because I use mod builds. What's more, I found myself constantly running out of ammo, nor was I using the scope. Undying is a terrible mod compared to the numerous amount of offensive mods or buffing mods, as well as the fact that, most of them time when I died, it was due to being swarmed. Enemies don't de-aggro you when you get down, so that basically means you're just gonna die again anyways.
    Anyway, that's it for the rant, thanks again for the video, and I'm looking forward to the crossbow video

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  3 года назад

      Yeah ruin is a sad case. For newer players it might seem more appealing to have a second life, but the fact the the gun is mediocre mixed with the other restrictions surrounding undying,(A 5 minute cool down even in death, taking insanely long to charge etc) makes it more of a hindrance than a legitimate backup plan.
      It's cool that you did end up finding the video though, the crossbow video is up as well, it came out about a week ago. ruclips.net/video/XVY6Mafqfvg/видео.html&ab_channel=WryHarpy

    Just wondering why the hunting rifle is on this list considering its neither single shot nor scoped. The reason it's fire rate is so good it that it has a 10 round magazine that it cycles through.

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  Год назад

      I meant semi-auto when referring to the hunting rifle and eye of the storm. The sniper is the only real "Single Shot" weapon in this vid. I think I wrote the title like that because the other rifles you can just hold down the trigger to fire, hence why I called that one the "Automatic Rifles" vid.

      Thank you for the sub! I have purchased a bunch of ammo boxes from the vendor in ward 13. I used the Adventurer's Set (+20% scrap gain +Extra chance for scrap to drop from breakable objects), combined with the Scavenger's Bauble (+50% scrap gain) and maxing out the scavenger perk (+35% scrap gain). This doubles your scrap gain and when combined with the extra chance for breakable objects like boxes, pots etc in the world to drop scrap your wallet fills very quickly!
      I recommend running through a normal difficulty adventure and breaking everything you can to maximize the amount of scrap you can get.
      Some runs can earn you 10k+ scrap! That is enough to buy dozens of ammo boxes!

      @@WryHarpy thx again! I played a lot of the game back when Epic gave for free. I was so good I bought the DLCs and it's all super cool. This week I decided to go back and beyond hard, it's been my first time on nightmare. Soon noticed the ammo can be a issue here. Need to try the survival as well. Now I'll marathon your channel for some nice content ✌🏻

    Do you know what additional damage bonus applies to Rhom and Reisum? Thanks

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  3 года назад

      Enemies on rhom are split for being weak to to Radiation and shock damage. Most the the outside brutes take 10% more radiation damage. The Vyr, the blue enemies with the staves, take increased damage from shock, around 10 or 15% more I think.
      And for Reisum, Most enemies are weak to fire damage, taking 10-15% more. Those same enemies are also 5% weaker to rot damage but it is a fairly small bonus and it doesn't apply to the final boss of the dlc campaign.
      This reddit post has charts containing all the planet enemies weaknesses:

    I used nightstalker, heart of darkness, shadow ring, and the ring gave u 100% crit chance for non agg enemy, 20% critdmg. Yeah ranged and weakspot dmg, crit chance, dmg are maxed, sniper rifle too. I can deal 3k2 weakspot 1k crit when enemies non agg

    I love the concept of the acelerator, but the damage of the Normal shots are so low and the mod takes forever to Charge. That is so unfortunate. I saw vids from the beginning of the games lifecycle (i bought it really late) and the mod charged up in a few shots. If the mod would Charge faster, you could Focus on the rediculous low fire Power....but for how the game is ballanced now, you are quite Forced to build around the mod. And for this reason (low damage plus -35% firerate from follower) you are constantly waiting for the mod. Otherwise you are dealing not near enough damage. Even against Elites the damage is horendous

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  3 года назад

      I agree, these are the reasons why I don't really run the weapon outside of doing strategies with bosses and such. It requires a lot of equipment to make up for it's slow mod charge rate. Top that off that it can also kill you, so yeah I usually don't run it a lot.
