    What i like about these videos is the variety of builds they show off. Most, if not all, weapons are Apocalypse ready with one or two cookie cutter builds, but coming up with something unique and still making the weapon work is more impressive.

      For me I see all the random builds as potential build ideas for when you ever try out Hardcore Mode and you don't get to cherry pick from you 144+ rings collection and need to put something together to get by. Very handy.

    I always appreciate the Risk Of Rain 2 OST being played in the background, its such a good soundtrack..
    I will say i hope we get the N'erud DLC next so we can see if we get some awesome guns like a Rail gun or an Archetype using a new Heavy weapon. Fingers crossed!

    I highly recommend you try the Bandit mutator on the Cube gun. Might seem useless but It will still refill the ammo directly into the magazine and increases the fire rate (If at level 10) and makes the gun feel much less clunky since you are feeding ammo back into the gun and not reaching the bottom of the mag which gives it that "jamming" feeling you mentioned.

    Great video and nice editing as always. I did like this longer video but I can't decide if i like this longer video or the shorter videos. Anyways I will always watch your videos no matter what. I have a request. Do a video where you compare the corrupted weapons to their normal weapons. Maybe after the hc guide. But you do what you want. I just would really like if you would do that

    Personally, I like the Tech 22 a hell of a lot more than the MP60. Bit of an underrated gun. It's just so clean, precise, and quick - fast reloads, fast magdumps, and a nice way to just rapidly charge a mod by needling a head with near laser accuracy. It's the closest we get to a beam handgun, oddly enough when you'd half expect that to be the Cube Gun. A slight loss in DPS is made up for by its lightning quick reload ensuring you aren't left dry when you need it, you need zero points in recoil management or spread, and by Remnant 2 standards it's a crit weapon designed to drill holes in skulls. Fun with a mod like Bore. I actually kind of want to try building it with Bore and Laemir Censer now. Maybe when the update drops with shiny new corrupted guns.

    Killer video. I remember watching all the Remnant 1 ones multiple times over. I don't like the changes eliminating armor bonuses completely, but the build diversity is still huge with all the archetype stuff. Will you do an apocalypse tested with melee weapons as well?

    Sorrow work GREAT with detonation trigger. As soon as you pull those bolts out, you set your victim on fire, which also helps build mod power.

    It's funny to me how, visiting the comments, the only negative comments come from people who unfortunately have a meta slave mentality. It's really just odd how some people are so obsessed with seeking out reasons to call things "bad" for not being the best that they just kind of can't figure out how to engage with the majority of a game's items or mechanics.

    I do like longer video bc even in Remnant the only category that gun have is main weapon and sub weapon to be fair, and some unique weapon's mod do change fire mode like Merciless.
    for another example tho, i remanber saw some people think Savior is a bow rather a fusion rifles bc of it's gimmick so without futher confused by anyone eles i do think it better that do a one video for main weapon category and other one for sub weapon.
    but i understand how much work that you need to put in this type of long video rather then those short one tho so just do what do you think it most comfortable for you.

    given the poster for this video, can you find out a way to make Quick Draw not shit to use at end game?

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  10 месяцев назад

      Unfortunately it’s always going to be overshadowed by the other two gunslinger skills, that being said the best way of squeezing the most out of it is to run engineer as your other archetype. Since engineer gives a huge boost to skill damage and skill weakspot damage it’s the best choice imo for helping it. The build I use with the western classic at the end of the video demonstrates how I got the most out of it. Part of me hopes GFG looks into the damage values of all the skills that primarily deal damage. Most of the time I only ever run quick draw as a means of procing gunslinger’s prime perk every so often. It’s a shame too since visually and audibly it’s a cool skill.

    • @FelisImpurrator
      @FelisImpurrator 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@WryHarpyThe endgame use case is unfortunately mostly down to "make this thing spam your prime perk every few seconds" with the cooldown reduction setup. It isn't bad as a way to keep up sustained DPS, but the game does need flat damage abilities to be tuned better for difficulty scaling.
      I wish Havoc Form would get overloaded, but that might crash GPUs...

    What is the point of this "is this weapon apocalypse ready?" part in every gun review when you'll just say "yes" no matter how much that gun sucks? No, guns like cube gun and hellfire are not apocalypse ready. Unless by apocalypse ready you mean doing f* all damage or having to deal with the worst range in the game. 👎 some guns are just in a poor state right now, that's why the devs nerf/buff things.

    • @WryHarpy
      @WryHarpy  10 месяцев назад +2

      Originally in the script I was far more negative when talking about hellfire. I had a joke written at the start talking about moving from one of the best weapons in the game to one of the worst. What came after was a moment of reflection, I went back and played with the weapon some more and tried to hone in on what the weapon actually does well, which in this case is a “puff and swap” kind of playstyle. It’s certainly not an amazing weapon by any means. And although a weapon may have multiple downsides, it doesn’t mean it’s ultimately a bad one. Like I mentioned it has the highest burn dot in the game that’s easily applicable via its primary fire (Although in retrospect I never checked the damage on miasma’s burn dot but I know it’s total damage is split between the 4 statuses so I don’t think it’s actually higher. Even then it’s limited by skill cooldowns whereas hellfire is just tapping the primary fire button.) That ease of access to that dot is what saves it from being a completely bad weapon imo. If you want an example of a weapon that I didn’t describe as apocalypse ready, my last video covering the remainder of the long guns included twisted arbalest. In my opinion it is one of the rare examples of a weapon I seriously cannot recommend to people playing apocalypse. It’s a gun that has a lot of competition in the field it tries to cover, most of them better in general use cases. Its dependence on needing large groups of enemies to deal even decent damage compared to other sources makes it not worth using in a majority of situations. And because of that I said it wasn’t apocalypse ready.
      The point of this series is to show that almost every weapon has something going for it. I also bring up in them what’s holding them back from being better. In hellfire’s case all it really needs is some stat tweaks, and an adjustment to explosive shot to help it synergyize with the primary fire. (That and letting it benefit from range boosting sources)
      Also I think cube gun is fine having lower damage considering it has unlimited ammo and a defensive mod that helps regardless of investing into mod damage, duration, mod power generation etc.
      I do thank you for the feedback though, it was thought provoking and got me to think a bit about how I make these videos.

    • @FelisImpurrator
      @FelisImpurrator 9 месяцев назад +2

      @@WryHarpyI honestly think OP's comment isn't particularly great feedback, and that your approach is overwhelmingly better and healthier for the game and its community. Trying to play to the strengths of each item rather than meta chasing and basically saying "It's bad it's bad it's bad" is more in line with what the design ethos of the game is.
      I will say, Twisted Arbalest is still exceptionally fun with a Summoner/Archon Detonation Trigger setup. It scales with amplitude and is very funny for keeping your summons enraged, while the constant detonation spam keeps everything on fire. Certainly doesn't fix the weapon's core issue of being virtually useless for bosses and being a bit undertuned in an overstuffed niche (hi Enigma), but it's not as bad as people say it is, just in need of some help.
