Quick question?
This coat helps with the heat resistance??
Thanks
Good question! Could you elaborate on what type of heat your surface will encounter? Our Ceramic Nanofinish will prevent moisture rings on furniture surfaces from heat sources such as hot cups of coffee or tea. Let us know more about how you were looking to use the product and we might have some additional testing results that would be applicable to your scenario 👍
How long do you let the rubio cure before adding the carbon method?
Great question! Your finish should always be fully cured before applying Carbon Method ceramic nanofinishes - in the case of Rubio Monocoat, that's 7 days if you're using the 2c hardener.
Exact same question, I don’t want to wait 😅
Also 😊
😀
I'm going to assume it works on top of odies oil as well?
Absolutely! It works excellent over any hard wax oils.
Can we use this on wood plank flooring? Is it as durable as a clear epoxy sealer?
Or would you first do something like Rubios, then clear epoxy, then the ceramic coating?
Aiming for the most durable flooring (kids)
Plank flooring is a really interesting situation! For best results, you should contact our Customer Service team on our website, so we can chat back and forth with you about what's going to get you the best application for this scenario.
Is the coating food safe for cutting boards and serving trays
Serving trays, yes - and we're going to have some exciting news about that soon! Cutting boards, no - you don't want to use nanofinish in a food-contact situation where the surface will be subjected to frequent cutting or abrasion.
@@carbonmethodcocool. So it would be fine for a tray or dining table application but not for the abrasion on the cutting board? Good to know. Thanks
