I just saw him in concert last week. Been a fan since '86 so I got a bit emotional when he walked out. He was spot on! My first guitar hero! I'm not sure how many of you are musicians on here, but if you are, his signature guitar is absolutely hands down one of the best guitars I've ever played. People who play it say they need to purchase a Jaguar. I tell them they'd have to purchase his signature guitar because they are not alike. Even without plugging in it has that Johnny Marr sound. It's beautiful. Get one if you can. You won't be sorry you did...
Johnny is truly a genuine artist and really good to his fans I had the honor of zooming with him last year...i'm still amazed by the experience guitar hero indeed😻👍

If you can see him in a small venue like this, even better. There are some videos on here of his shows at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn. For me, that was an amazing concert experience. And Andy hanging out in the lobby after. Johnny donned a wig and glasses and walked out right past us.

Don't get the Smiths but like this one.
It's a shame Johnny would not make up with Morrissey, instead he's playing 100 seat venues with all that talent.
I don't think that they hate each other. Instead, they just realize that they dont work well together...each artist is happier and better off doing their own thing. Finally, Marr is playing in venues much larger than 100 seats!

@@Teacherpaulo559 No way. Ive seen Morrissey´s shows a couple of times and since Rourke, Joyce, and Gannon left they are absolutly boring. They sound just like school´s band with a good frontman. On contrary, you hear Marr´s shows live and this is how a real pro band should sound.

The Smiths are unique and each artist brought their own qualities to the stage at a time when mainstream music was devolving. Their work then holds up to the test of time and to each his own, Johnny has performed ans collaborated with other musicians to produce a stunning body of work. His latest Spirit, Body, and Soul with the Tracers is amazing. He is genuinely a class act😻Team Johnny

It's a musical delight no doubt, and Johnny takes the credit for that I'm sure but it does seem that lyrically the 'voice' is so pure Moz personality/humour as to render it to hollow and difficult for another singer. Not helped by the lyrical change 🤦♂️ God help us!!
@@liborsionko Yeah, agree. It feels a bit...like a bad fit. As u say Moz is such a unique voice/lyricist. Even if the uniqueness of Marrs music is there...A different/better singer would help, though IMO.

Marr has never worked with any racist singers, to my knowledge anyway.
Johnny’s a genius musician and a guitar god but he can’t sing worth a damn.
This guy has so little integrity that he is singing the very same lyrics he moaned about Morrissey writing on dozens of occasions in the past. I mean he could write his own lyrics, but we all know they would be shite.
Just because he complains about them doesn't mean he can't still sing them haha. also, these lyrics are probably the shittest ones possible, so he could do better if he wanted
