I'm now waaaay past the kpop die hard phase in my life (I was a 2nd gen kpop lover). I do not know any kpop group that trend nowadays, I only know their names but never heard any of their songs. I haven't listen to any other 2nd gen kpop group. I haven't listened to any SNSD songs in more than two years, haven't visited any 4minute videos in more than 5 years, or listened to any Super Junior songs in YEARS that I can't even county how long. I'm now a full time professional programmer living an adult life with lots of obligations and responsibilities piling over... but damn I keep coming back to Big Bang and their songs. That's when I realized the reason why is because they're not idols. I keep coming back not to see any flashy dances (their cute faces are just a bonus) but I come back because they're artists. I come back because of their songs. Regardless of what controversy they'll be in, there's one thing we cannot deny: They made the best songs existing in kpop. And personally, I'll keep on supporting them as long as they keep making music.

Personally, BigBang is more than just a Kpop idol to me. BigBang was a part of me throughout my teens. Listening back to these songs doesn't just remind me of how good they were, but also made me feel like a teenager all over again. A feeling this 'adult me' hasn't felt in a looong loooong time. The one thing that makes Big Bang stand out is that you can always go back to their songs no matter how many years have passed. The biggest reason why I got into kpop is Big Bang. Not for their looks, not for their choreography, but just because I love their songs♥️ Groups will come and go but Big Bang will be Big Bang✌️
Watching BB old videos this week made me realize how new fandoms have no idea how much new groups copy them, from clothing, video concepts etcetera. Makes me feel so proud of being a VIP 👑👑👑👑👑
Reasons to love this MV: 1.) It's slowed down, so everyone had to lip-sync to a slightly more sped-up version of this song (very cool) 2.) Everything is choreographed/ the camera walking is beautifully done 3.) The set is freaking cool, with actual pyrotechnics and smoke machines 4.) That car drop at the end!...I doubt they could have done it twice, so I'm betting that they had to nail this entire filming on the first try. 5.) The black and white vibe is super cool

BB was just a syndrome when i was in a middle school (I'm Korean, and now I'm drunken so sorry for my poor English) Back then, Every korean knew big bang's songs, especially Lie, last farewell, haruharu, heartbreaker(GD's solo song), no matter what their ages are!!! Lie and haruharu was reeeeeaalllllyyyy a mega hit song that everybody knows in Korea.(although my fav song is 'fool') If they wear a specific shoes, the shose became "shoes of that year" and If GD change his hair style, it became "hairstyle of that year" which all the korean guys follow😂 Furthermore, In 2008, if you aren't interested in Bigbang, there was almost nothing to say, and no one to talk with, at least in middle/high school, seriously!! What All the teenage girls talk about was just bigbang and TVXQ. If you just walk through the street, 2~3 of 10 was talking about BB 😂😂 It was a golden era of Big bang, and also K-pop in korea. In that era, youtube wasn't main mass media of korea, so maybe views are not that much.... 🤔 Anyway, it is really surprising that their song 'bang*3' or 'fantastic baby' which are released 7yrs after they put definite point through 'lies' and 'haru haru' still re-hit to this extent. Normally in Korea, If a K-idol becomes general trend(?) and makes big fandom, they reach the peak then shrink for the next trend group. However BB didn't lose their power and continue that in another way, 'by getting mass appeal'. so most koreans give them credit for being nation's group and respect them. I think it’s because BB has its own color. I mean they don’t even have to dance to take over the stage, they’re real performers. Their song is also the best in term of K-Pop boyband.

Simple, minimalist, transcendent, meaningful : this is what my fav BIGBANG song is about. the first I listen and watched of them, and the one that captivated me INSTANTLY.
One of my fav BB songs. How the vocals can sound haunting and still match perfectly alongside the energetic beat. It stimulates so many senses, emotions, feelings all at the same time which gives such a full listening experience. No wonder their music keeps me fully involved from beginning to end and gives me such a good experience on each listening. BB stand out to me as a group for so many reasons.

Do you guys know... BB was just a syndrome when i was in a middle school (I'm Korean, and now I'm drunken so sorry for my poor English) Back then, Every korean knew big bang's songs, especially Lie, last farewell, haruharu, heartbreaker(GD's solo song), no matter what their ages are!!! Lie and haruharu was reeeeeaalllllyyyy a mega hit song that everybody knows in Korea.(although my fav song is 'fool') If they wear a specific shoes, the shose became "shoes of that year" and If GD change his hair style, it became "hairstyle of that year" which all the korean guys follow😂 Furthermore, In 2008, if you aren't interested in Bigbang, there was almost nothing to say, and no one to talk with, at least in middle/high school, seriously!! What All the teenage girls talk about was just bigbang and TVXQ. If you just walk through the street, 2~3 of 10 was talking about BB 😂😂 It was a golden era of Big bang, and also K-pop in korea. In that era, youtube wasn't main mass media of korea, so maybe views are not that much.... 🤔 Anyway, it is really surprising that their song 'bang*3' or 'fantastic baby' which are released 7yrs after they put definite point through 'lies' and 'haru haru' still re-hit to this extent. Normally in Korea, If a K-idol becomes general trend(?) and makes big fandom, they reach the peak then shrink for the next trend group. However BB didn't lose their power and continue that in another way, 'by getting mass appeal'. so most koreans give them credit for being nation's group and respect them. And I'm 24 now.... wtf Time flies!!!! (I'm copying and pasting this to remind my past and just bc I want to share that moment with anybody listening to bb's music..☺️)

One of my fav BB songs. How the vocals can sound haunting and still match perfectly alongside the energetic beat. It stimulates so many senses, emotions, feelings all at the same time which gives such a full listening experience. No wonder their music keeps me fully involved from beginning to end and gives me such a good experience on each listening. BB stand out to me as a group for so many reasons.

Why Bigbang are called The Kings of Kpop??
1. Bigbang is one of the first group to start writing and producing their own music. G-Dragon is the first idol to do it. And not only writing songs but he produced such a hit song(Lies-Bigbang). After that agencies started giving their idols chance to do it.
2. Bigbang is the first one to have official lightstick.The first official lightstick in kpop was designed by G-Dragon. It was called Bang Bong. Since then all fandoms followed it and now every fandom has their own lightstick.
3. T.O.P is the first underground rapper turned idol in kpop and the first rapper in kpop to have a deep voice. After that it became a trend for every group to have a rapper with a deep voice.
4. Bigbang was the first boy group to dye their hair bright unusual colors like pink, blue, neon green, orange. G-Dragon made it trend, starting from blonde there is no color he hasn't tried. Now every kpop idol will color their hair differently in every comeback.
5. They were the first group to call the youngest member as "maknae" as Seungri and TOP both have the same name which is Seunghyun. They did that so they can call seungri as maknae and not to confuse both of them. Now every group and their fans will call the youngest member as "maknae".
6. Bigbang is also the first group that members have solo careers without disbanding. Before bigbang, groups always disbanded or the member just left if one of them wants to pursuit their own career. But Bigbang showed them you can have solo career while still being in the group. Taeyang and Gdragon have won daesangs(main awards) for their solo career and always topped the charts including Billboard. Daesung was so popular in Japan (more popular than bigbang itself lol)
