I'm now waaaay past the kpop die hard phase in my life (I was a 2nd gen kpop lover). I do not know any kpop group that trend nowadays, I only know their names but never heard any of their songs. I haven't listen to any other 2nd gen kpop group. I haven't listened to any SNSD songs in more than two years, haven't visited any 4minute videos in more than 5 years, or listened to any Super Junior songs in YEARS that I can't even county how long. I'm now a full time professional programmer living an adult life with lots of obligations and responsibilities piling over... but damn I keep coming back to Big Bang and their songs. That's when I realized the reason why is because they're not idols. I keep coming back not to see any flashy dances (their cute faces are just a bonus) but I come back because they're artists. I come back because of their songs.
Regardless of what controversy they'll be in, there's one thing we cannot deny: They made the best songs existing in kpop. And personally, I'll keep on supporting them as long as they keep making music.

BB was just a syndrome when i was in a middle school (I'm Korean, and now I'm drunken so sorry for my poor English) Back then, Every korean knew big bang's songs, especially Lie, last farewell, haruharu, heartbreaker(GD's solo song), no matter what their ages are!!! Lie and haruharu was reeeeeaalllllyyyy a mega hit song that everybody knows in Korea.(although my fav song is 'fool') If they wear a specific shoes, the shose became "shoes of that year" and If GD change his hair style, it became "hairstyle of that year" which all the korean guys follow😂 Furthermore, In 2008, if you aren't interested in Bigbang, there was almost nothing to say, and no one to talk with, at least in middle/high school, seriously!! What All the teenage girls talk about was just bigbang and TVXQ. If you just walk through the street, 2~3 of 10 was talking about BB 😂😂 It was a golden era of Big bang, and also K-pop in korea. In that era, youtube wasn't main mass media of korea, so maybe views are not that much.... 🤔 Anyway, it is really surprising that their song 'bang*3' or 'fantastic baby' which are released 7yrs after they put definite point through 'lies' and 'haru haru' still re-hit to this extent. Normally in Korea, If a K-idol becomes general trend(?) and makes big fandom, they reach the peak then shrink for the next trend group. However BB didn't lose their power and continue that in another way, 'by getting mass appeal'. so most koreans give them credit for being nation's group and respect them. And I'm 24 now.... wtf Time flies!!!! (I'm copying and pasting this to remind my past and just bc I want to share that moment with anybody listening to bb's music..☺️)

The one thing that makes Big Bang stand out is that you can always go back to their songs no matter how many years have passed. The biggest reason why I got into kpop is Big Bang. Personally, BigBang is more than just a Kpop idol to me. BigBang was a part of me throughout my teens. Listening back to these songs doesn't just remind me of how good they were, but also made me feel like a teenager all over again. A feeling this 'adult me' hasn't felt in a looong loooong time.

Reasons to love this MV:
1.) It's slowed down, so everyone had to lip-sync to a slightly more sped-up version of this song (very cool)
2.) Everything is choreographed/ the camera walking is beautifully done
3.) The set is freaking cool, with actual pyrotechnics and smoke machines
4.) That car drop at the end!...I doubt they could have done it twice, so I'm betting that they had to nail this entire filming on the first try.
5.) The black and white vibe is super cool

@@GeminiNoAle That's what I originally thought, but I believe it was filmed in sections, but the cuts are cleverly hidden with editing. This puts less stress on the crew to get the car drop right in one go.

Why Bigbang are called The Kings of Kpop??
1. Bigbang is one of the first group to start writing and producing their own music. G-Dragon is the first idol to do it. And not only writing songs but he produced such a hit song(Lies-Bigbang). After that agencies started giving their idols chance to do it.
2. Bigbang is the first one to have official lightstick.The first official lightstick in kpop was designed by G-Dragon. It was called Bang Bong. Since then all fandoms followed it and now every fandom has their own lightstick.
3. T.O.P is the first underground rapper turned idol in kpop and the first rapper in kpop to have a deep voice. After that it became a trend for every group to have a rapper with a deep voice.
4. Bigbang was the first boy group to dye their hair bright unusual colors like pink, blue, neon green, orange. G-Dragon made it trend, starting from blonde there is no color he hasn't tried. Now every kpop idol will color their hair differently in every comeback.
5. They were the first group to call the youngest member as "maknae" as Seungri and TOP both have the same name which is Seunghyun. They did that so they can call seungri as maknae and not to confuse both of them. Now every group and their fans will call the youngest member as "maknae".
6. Bigbang is also the first group that members have solo careers without disbanding. Before bigbang, groups always disbanded or the member just left if one of them wants to pursuit their own career. But Bigbang showed them you can have solo career while still being in the group. Taeyang and Gdragon have won daesangs(main awards) for their solo career and always topped the charts including Billboard. Daesung was so popular in Japan (more popular than bigbang itself lol)
7. And to this day G-Dragon is still the only soloist from idol groups to win Artist of the Year/Daesang.
8. In 2014, G-dragon won World's Best Entertainer Of The Year and World's Best Album at World Music Awards,
and the first kpop act to have two albums on the Billboard 200.
9. Seungri once had his own vocal and dance academy that have trained many idols such as J-Hope from BTS, Mijoo from Lovelyz, Jinwoo from Winner, Zelo from B.A.P , Hyung Won from Monsta X, Hye Lin from EXID and many other artists.
10. They were part of the first generation of kpop that made it global and shaped its characteristics

17. They are also called the kings of live performances coz their stage presences were insane. When you impressed by watching their MVs, trust me their live performances are better !!!
18. And until now Bigbang still trending everyday in Melon (Biggest music streaming platform in korea) without doing anything and not releasing any music. Their last song before hiatus titled "Flower Road" broke many records and topped all the charts in korea without a single promotion and they were already in the military when the song was released.
19. Today they are still the best selling kpop group in China's history despite being 4 years of hiatus.
20. And until today they still held the record for the biggest kpop concert tour ever (Bigbang - Made World Tour)

Big Bang doesn’t care what people think about their tattoos and stuff and that’s what make them the talent today
Listening back to them you can actually hear how they influenced most of k-pop boy groups today. The mix of R&B and trot colored vocals, the energetic rap flow mixed with low voice laid back rap. How many boy groups have the exact same mix kpop agencies tried to reproduce the uniqueness so many times you can hear their influence all around.
The fact that they all their own personalities and different voice tones and colors, make them unique. All band boys now look and sound the same, but Big Bang still remains unique. Hope they can come back.

I knew BigBang before this, but never really followed their music. But after watching this music video, they sounded and looked really cool. I became curious about the members and started following their music ever since

I was a kpop hater. A die hard anti. I got angry whenever my kids played a kpop song or had kpop songs on their playlist.
But one of my office mate introduced me this song last month (Sept 2018), I suddenly fell in love with it and started a BigBang marathon.

I was also very stereotypical abt kpop in the past thinking it's just plenty of guys dancing hard, but BigBang is so unique in all kpop. Their music is just on another level.

One of my fav BB songs. How the vocals can sound haunting and still match perfectly alongside the energetic beat. It stimulates so many senses, emotions, feelings all at the same time which gives such a full listening experience. No wonder their music keeps me fully involved from beginning to end and gives me such a good experience on each listening. BB stand out to me as a group for so many reasons.
Always great music from BIGBANG. Amazing talent. Every time I come back to them, I become disatisfied with other artists and only want BB
