All Saints are brilliant. They've aged like fine wine and sound even better today than they did then. If you're into girl groups, give The 411 "On My Knees (ft Ghostface Killah)" and "Dumb" a listen... Both big hits and gave a promising start to the girls.

Another song of theirs that you could check out was their debut single “I know where it’s at”. It has a more garage/R&B feel to it, but was instrumental in setting their future music direction. Their 2017 comeback single One Strike is also good. Plus 2006’s Rock Steady is also a different direction. Also they covered Moulin Rouge and have another few songs called Booty Call and All Hooked Up.

This is one of their best IMO. "Never Ever" was released as the second single from All Saints' self-titled debut album (1997); it was co-written by Shaznay Lewis (aka homegirl at the end with your fave adlibs lol) and is All Saints' highest-charting single to date, peaking at the top of the charts in countries like Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The song also peaked in the top 10 in Canada, the US, and various other European countries. It is the third best-selling single by a girl group of all time in the UK, only behind Spice Girls' "Wannabe" and Little Mix's "Shout Out to My Ex." Please react to All Saints - "I Know Where It's At" and Appleton - "Don't Worry."

Shaznay was in charge of the girls on that one! And glad to see my girls (Spice Girls) have yet to be dethroned from their greatness 😂

@@Werdnasings Shaznay actually writes the vast majority of the group's songs, and she's penned a bunch of stuff for other artists. She's a criminally underrated songwriter!

Wooooo!! Mel Blatt has a lovely voice, but I somehow missed her solo stuff. Ms Shaznay Lewis however - she was the Writer (and often the Singer but don't tell em I told) and her solo album was weird but awesome. "You (radio edit)", "Radio", "Never Felt Like This Before" and loads more were really great.
My favourite All Saints songs are "Pure Shores" and "Rock Steady", btw

Shazney was undoubtedly the true stand out star of this group (along with the group late lead singer Simone Rainford.) she is very versatile performer, gave a lot of passion into her performances and work. I can’t really say very much about her as a songwriter, yes she was the main songwriter to most or half of the group well known songs during their peak (about half of All saints’s songs during 90s and early 2000s were covers.) although her songwriting abilities have approved over the years, it’s not really outstanding nor unique or memorable, Shazney is just like any other songwriter out there. Although her physical appearances is very eye catching she’s incredibly beautiful, very unique looking for numerous reasons (although there was another member of All saints who was unique for her deformity that member was Melanie Blatt who in my Mom word had “long arms.” they too long for her short body the reason for this is because she suffered from childhood scoliosis as a result of it she has disproportionate long arms, a hunch back and now using a walking stick 🦯) Shazney puts in a bit more effort into the way she looks than the other members of All saints. And I agree with you on Shazney voice it made the song a bit memorable. Although I don’t like this song for me and most people it sounds dated now and really shouldn’t have charted as high as it did and the group shouldn’t had the amount of success they did because most of or if not nearly all of All saints music sounded dated, forgettable, lacklustre and was not very memorable. The only reason why they had amount of success at their time was mainly because all but one member (excluding the original member Simone Rainford who was biracial and not in this music video.) were white and two members were Canadians giving a them a intonational appeal. Both Shazney and Melanie admitted that the quality of their music wasn’t very good, in 2024 Shazney confirmed that group didn’t really focus very much on their music with the group management caring more about their image, getting the band to have numerous interviews and photoshoot, something that Shazney has since deeply regretted she always regretted the way how she written the group’s songs especially “Never ever.” citing it poor quality and said she wouldn’t go back and listen to these type of song she had written for All saints.
Nonetheless I’m glad that I’m not the only one who feels that Shazney stands out for the group, although I do it feel strongly that she is subconsciously overlooked by All saints fans because she’s black, their fans just care about her as a songwriter that it, most of their fans only cared about the white members despite the fact that they don’t really do very much of anything or look remarkable. Since it should be noted most of All saints fans were mainly white people as Shazney puts it she doesn’t see that much black people attend All saints concerts.
