Government is taking up unwanted and unnecessary works in Western ghats in the name of development.What purpose does Hubli Ankola railway line serve after stopping of export of iron and manganese ore from Bellary region.Thousands of trees will be lost for this railway project besides affecting the ecology of western ghats.Also, a railway line from Mysore to Kerala is being planned which will also destroy the ecology of Kodagu region.
