The whole thing is utterly bonkers……the deserted mining town, the scale of it, the lights still working in the cinema, swimming pool and gymnasium……..even the reindeer with their antlers look completely mad…….and as for the fox quietly having a snack……And through it all, Miles’ deadpan commentary, Sally casually strolling with a rifle slung over her shoulder and the beautiful Beluga whales serene, oblivious, timeless………So typically kind and thoughtful of you to recognise your own good fortune in being able to get there on Hiraeth, not to crow but point us in the direction of how we might share in the same experience. Oh, and the sound track was just perfect……..
Amazing to see how wildlife can bounce back after decades or even centuries of humans killing/hunting/exploiting/habitat destroying if they are just left alone. Gives you a bit of hope for the future.
