- Without doubt this is my most anticipated game of all time. Final Fantasy 7 Remake was the catalyst that created this entire channel over 8 years ago!! To be here now with the MEATY section of the FF7 story that is Rebirth. I've done theory after theory, trailer reaction vids for days, speculated on news and held my breath for this game long enough. Its time to dive in and see if Rebirth truly lives up to its early metacritic reviews. This could be the ending stream of all streams for the channel. Potentially. I can't wait to get in and have you guys along for the ride! I'm going to be SLOOOW burn playing this playthrough and enjoying Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth while I'm mid travels. Starting here in Bali and probably get to the ending in Australia. Twins getting married so there may be some chop in the playthrough consistency. May be a tech issue or two lmao. Yuffie and Barret's relationship is so cute. I'm glad they fleshed out Yuffie and as silly as she can be, made her more human and 'reasonable' in the remake.
Yes! I want to see Jenova have a more prominent role forsure. I love creepy sci-fi stuff and feel they could really lean into that aspect this time!

why the fuck does the arc light thing move like it's a magnet towards things? did square enix think I was too stupid to move it myself and have the false impression it was good game design to force it on me?

Aaaaah dude, I usually respect your theories, but talking about part 3, without knowing how part 2 ends, is a bit irrelevant... like it's hard to say anything, without spoiling the ending. So id say beat the game first before talking about cloud regaining his memories. Cause part 3 is gonna be something else man... all i can really say

Sephiroth needs Cloud, Jenova may stop the planet from subsuming him but only so she can. From killing Sephiroth during the Nibelheim incident, to the entire journey of 7, Cloud is the wrench in Jenovas' plans which buys time for Sephiroth to learn how to fight back and become deified in the life stream.
Also when Cloud said "there's nothing I don't care about" in Advent, Sephiroth realized Cloud was his best friend, and would always come for him.
As is said your best friend is the one who tells you to knock it off or stops you when you're being (especially rude).
Which is why End of Creation Sephiroth keeps showing up, such as at the Gold Saucer, part of the party and encouraging Cloud to continue the journey both need him to make.
I can imagine in the next game a fight over a chance to kill Cloud early between EoC Sephiroth and Jenovaroth displayed through the movement of black whispers and clones respectively, perhaps with EoC Sephiroth and Aerith, Zach doing a temp team up to save Cloud and the gang.
