Hands down, this is the best 2x72 belt surface grinder that I have seen on RUclips to date... and I have seen pretty much all of them as far as I know lol...
Keep up the great work! Really enjoyed this one!
    Cheers!

A very big job but absolutely worth it. I was considering a similar project for my 2 x 72 Grinder. It is not as heavy as your machine but the principle is the same. Thanks for the post.

@@PaveW There's a business somewhere in that notion. Machines that give you a good workout and get work done. In a world where people pay for "job simulator" and goat simulator on steam, you should be able to make a "gym" where you charge people to get your work done. :)

What brand mill is that ?And what brand is that Vernier scriber ? Never seen on like that. Couple suggestions for your next project. If you can tap everything you can on the machine. Remove the drill ,chamfer the hole and tap using the chuck. That hand chuck is perfect for that. I have done it for years. If the machine has a neutral use that and spin chuck with hand. Very creative design and nice work .

Just gonna go out and say an endmill in a drill chuck should only be used for plunging/ drilling
The drill chuck is mounted on an taper and side cutting forces can and will dislodge it leaving you with a busted drill chuck and the possibility for a safety incident, just get some sidelock holders or better yet an er collet chuck for your mill

I'm quite newby in milling, for sure I will collect some better grips in the future

@@PaveW hey man we all gotta start somewhere just trying to impart some wisdom an ER collet chuck is best band for your buck bc you can get collets for a range of sizes and you can even use them for drilling and have less runout making life easier

@@david-onearmedknifemaker-8955 yeah ive never personally used an endmill in a drill chuck for side milling its just one of those safety things that in school they drill into your head so you never forget them

Its called a milling machine and yes it would be very benificial, but you could probably also tweak the design a little bit and do it with a drill press

A router will cut aluminum. Great make sure that you have it secure. Clamp a fence on both sides and take light cuts.
