I'm a mommy of 3 boys also. I've been binge watching all of your videos and finally decided to comment on one. You are teaching me so much! Thank you so much! Can't wait to take great pictures of my cute boys. Your boys are so handsome!
The result looks great! So far I have used a diffuser and a DIY light bouncer separately but this trick seems to combine best of both methods. I'll definitely give it a try.
Brilliant and simple tip Moose! Thanks! An (almost) free tool for better flash pictures. Great for anyone on the run who hasn't brought their full tool kit! :-)
I used to place a lens cap in front of the pop-up flash at an angle so that the flash would direct all the light to the ceiling. That was a pain and worked only half the time PLUS...one hand was occupied by the lens cap. This tip is way better.
You Are the perfect teacher to teach how to start a video😍 .. really awesome Start .. which kept me stick to the video untill it finishes.... Its awesome Trick .. This Will Save Some Money 😀😀😉😉
That awkward moment when I can't help but think..."Why didn't I think of that". BTW...Mike Browne proposed using a film role box, after making a hole just large enough for the flash. I believe that Gary Fong himself himself after way that video, because his diffuser dome became obsolete after that. Thanks for the brilliant tip.
Dude, brilliant as always. I watched a video the other day where you mentioned your settings for shooting indoors in black and white. Is that video available yet? Thanks
what If I turn my camera sideways, but have tan walls. Does that matter? I only tried it straight forward. I live in the Seattle area, So I take more indoor then outdoor pix this time of year due to rain.
Yeah, this trick won't work well if you do it when shooting vertically, especially if the walls are tan. Shoot horizontal and if need be, crop to vertical if you prefer.

awesome
Wow!
What is your job? Also great video! 👍👍👍
I don't know why but this truck does not work with my Nikon d3300
what if u didn't adjust rhe exposure composition?
I didn't find a paper cup so I glued a sheet of paper to make a slight cone shape.
That's what I did. Taped a peice of 3 inch paper on the flash-hugging the flash from the front so it bounce it upward. Works like a charm lol
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
i tried this before but with some paper roll 😉
it works with a plastic bag too
Ur kid is so cute
