  • John and Yoko discuss firing Allen Klein as business manager of the now ex-Beatles. John begrudgingly admits that "Possibly Paul's suspicions were right." John would stick by this analysis for the remainder of his life.

      I believe John was mostly always honest...even if it meant it would hurt other people.
      Not many men would write lyrics like the song Jealous guy...or Woman or even...lm a loser .

      @@karenboromeo899 What about Mother? And My mummy's dead? John had brass balls as an artist. Name another songwriter you know who would bear their souls and exercise their demons in song like that?
      The John Lennon Plastic Ono Band album is a brutally honest account of his early life experiences. It's psychotherapy set to music.
      He was one of the most famous men on the planet, and yet he let his guard down and reduced himself to that little boy inside screaming, "Momma Don't Go, Daddy Come Home." He sang lines like, "I can't explain so much pain. I could never show it, but my mummy's dead"
      In fact at the same time he was singing lines like that, McCartney was singing lines like, Bip bop-bip bop bop-bip bop bip bop bam.
      I loved both Lennon & McCartney. But McCartney never gave you any insight as to what made him tick. Like I stated earlier, John Lennon had Brass Balls.

      @@mtp4430 John had a miserable childhood, Paul didn't. John had a lot of mental issues, Paul didn't. Paul was always, by and large, a well-functioning human being - with flaws, as everyone else - and if Paul had done what John did, it would have sounded fake.
      Paul was more content with trying to make people happy, which would have been completely OK were it not for Paul's association with John.
      I mean, Paul is the only person in the world being criticized for *not* being John Lennon. Other successful artists/writers from the 70s, like Paul Simon, Elton John, Bjørn and Benny, the Gibb brothers and...Billy Joel never really had to endure this.

    • @mtp4430
      @mtp4430 2 года назад +7

      @@EmileJoulbert Where exactly did I criticize McCartney? I'm a huge John Lennon and Paul McCartney fan. John had a lot of pain, and wrote of those experiences.
      Paul had a much happier childhood to draw off of. But Paul's Mother died when he was fifteen so he was no stranger to loss or pain either.
      However, John Lennon always revealed more of himself in his songs, like I'm a loser, Help, etc.
      He wasn't afraid to let you know what made him tick. McCartney was more the writer who creates characters and storylines. But he never went below the surface in anything personal.
      The only time Paul ever came anywhere near anything personal to him was to sing the lyric "Mother Mary comes to me."
      They we're both great songwriters with much experience to draw off. But Paul always had the rosier outlook and it came through in his music. That's not criticizing him, that's just a fact. So I'm not sure what you're talkin about?

      @@mtp4430 I can't help feeling that people who idolize Lennon tend to fetishize pain/being miserable, and those artists who don't quite fit into that niche are somehow looked down upon.
      "The only alternative for me is to wish for a painful life, which I'm not going to do.
      If that is what I require to be a great artist, then I don't want to be a great artist."

      Yeah, you can see the strain in the John&Yoko 'love of the ages', where he speaks and she rolls her eyes at one point. And they've only been married about 2 years! It's obvious that Yoko is extremely uncomfortable the entire time they're discussing Klein, as if she's the one who was pushing FOR Klein, against Eastman and Paul. And there's another interview somewhere where John's talking about how he and Yoko basically MANIPULATED George and Ringo into siding with them for Klein, against Paul. And now Yoko's been proven wrong. First she rolls her eyes. Then they cut a bunch of the interview. Next we see her lighting a cigarette.

I am sure The beatles would have done a reunion had John lived at least in album form. by 1980 Paul had ended the Wings band and John was recording again! it would have been a natural thing for John and Paul to want to work together again but 1980 was John's last year alive. such a pitty

      The last Wings album was in 1979, but in '80/'81 Paul was still working with Denny Laine on what was to become Tug of War, so I don't think the band had officially disbanded when John died. Weekend World interview, April 1973(two years later):
    Q: John, can you tell me what happened with Allen Klein, why you and the other two[George and Ringo] finally try to get rid of him?
    John: Well, there are many reasons to finally give him the push. Although I don't want to go into details of it...let's say that..possibly Paul's suspicions were right ...and the time was right.

John knew Jagger was going to talk about The Beatles going against Klein, so he secretly asked Klein to be there. When Jagger walked in and saw Klein, he was silenced in a very insidious way by Lennon. So screw Lennon. I feel sorry for George and Ringo, who went with Lennon's decision, with less information, to enlist Klein as manager. Admitting Paul was right was the least he could do. @Craig wells are an idiot or something. she didn't turn up at pauls house one day. paul is lying. she has no MOTIVE to lie about knowing john or paul before she met john, but paul did have a reason to lie. he was being isolated by the other bandmembers because they began to resent him acting like he was the boss of the band and his emotional rejection by the other bandmembers of course stressed him out. he blamed that on yoko because she was a woman, a foreigner and a different race. pretty ugly realy. he lied because he was trying to break up john and yoko, how pathetic. it is a lie she turned up at his house one day looking for sheet music for john cage. how stupid. why would john cage want paul's sheet music. have you listened to john cage's music. like ono, john cage didn't know who paul mccartney was or give a shit about his music or the beatles. they were doing something else. you almost have to be a moron to listen to paul tell the story and believe it. he was lying because he was jealous of yoko, jealous like a little girl because she was john's new creative partner and he was feeling a rejection vibe from the other bandmembers. but instead of being jealous like a little girl he could have collaborated with john , yoko and the other bandmembers more skillfully and stop acting like he was the boss. of course they resented that. listen to paul tell the story again. he says ono knocked on his door. oh yeah, how did yoko ono know which door belonged to him in london to knock on, right, to meet a musician she didn't know whose music she didn't care about, cuz she was doing her own thing, and the idea that john cage would ever give a shit about paul mccartneys sheet music (at the time) is so brain dead i can't even describe how stupid the idea is. yoko being gracious and loving towards the world and john inparticular forgave paul for this moronic lie the way you forgive your autistic little brother for their deranged behavior. john knew he was lying and why, but he was pissed at paul for so many reasons that it was just one more thing. john left the band because he didn't want to work with paul anymore.
      you've got your facts assbackwards on the yoko ono getting in the car. it is a fact, according to john and yoko based on a story they told thousands of times over and over again, they met at the indica gallery at her art exhibit. they did not meet on the side of the road with her trying to get into a car. sounds like she needed a ride, who knows. either way big fuking deal. she got in a car? that is what you think youve got on her...she got in a car. ridiculous. that whole story was told by john's wife cynthia, who probably remembers things all wrong. all she knew was john did not love her anymore and that was traumatic, so a friend of john's needing a ride took on a different dimension. big deal. you are so stupid it is unbelievable.

      @Craig wells why are you so mute

    • @nonebusiness4488
      @nonebusiness4488 5 лет назад

      @Craig wells first of all paul told this story retrospectively so it doesn't matter when he first became jealous of yoko becoming john's new creative partner. you also don't know the exact moment bandmembers became resentful of paul. it wasn't all conflict all the time and john explained it this way in recorded interview here on youtube you can listen to. it doesn't matter when they started to not get along if he is making this story up retrospectively so all your eternal blah blah is pointless. paul is lying about meeting yoko first. it is an obvious lie. listen to the interview again and try to figure out how yoko ono knew which door to knock in london that belonged to him. it is lie and you have to be brain dead to not comprehend it. yoko ono was not from london, she was in london exhibiting her work. even if she heard of the beatles, they had no resonance in her mind, the same way they had no resonance in john cage's mind. my parents were young in the 60's in NYC. they had heard of the beatles, but they were not interested in them enough to know their last names or even all their first names. john, paul, mark and luke or whatever, or know them of they saw them. they were not the only ones for whom the beatles had no resonance, who did not occupy any space in their minds. there is a world full of people, now and then, who may have heard of the beatles but find them uninteresting, who feel they lack all resonance in their lives and they wouldn't know a beatle if they were sitting opposite them on a train. i was there. i saw it. yoko ono was one of those people. so was john cage. they were not interested in paul, his music, his manuscript or where he lived in london. they would not know which door to knock on in london to find him. probably many of his screaming teenagers would not know which door to knock on in london to find paul mccartney and ask him for a manuscript as a present from someone they don't know or care about to give to another person who does not know or care about what he is doing even if they did hear about the beatles. my parents were young in nyc, i was there with them. they had many friends. nobody was THAT interested in the beatles. i remember it. there were other phenomena occuring. there was a war. we went to the moon. there was lots to talk about and the beatles were never a topic of conversation. more importantly, she has no motive to lie about whether she knew who john was when she met him. she has no motive to lie about her interest in the beatles at the time, which was zero. she was doing her own thing. what is confusing to you about understanding that she has no reason to lie about being interested in them.
      Paul has been described as a historical revisionist by phil norman, a respected beatles historian. that is a polite way of calling someone a liar. he is widely known a historical revisionist, which can be lying or just remembering thing the way you like to either exhault yourself, your position or your beliefs. you don't know what john called paul. john knew he was lying about that, but john was more consumed about what he felt was financial misdealings. john was very guarded as a rule about the interpersonal conflicts they had. you can here him talk about it on youtube also. john did miss opportunities to attack paul and was pretty tightlipped about his resentments. yoko is still alive. you can ask her. she is so dignified though, i can't imagine her even responding to such nonsense. you are simply stupid if you can't comprehend that she had no reason to lie about being interested in the beatles. what about that is confusing to you about this? i realize you don't get what i am saying, but i will say again that paul did have a reason, his almost blinding jealousy against her, and the way he scapegoated her because he was so emotinally crippled by the bealtes ending and his isolation amoung bandmembers. instead of acknowledging his own part in not cooperating successfully enough with the other bandmembers, he blamed her for his isolation only because she was a woman and a different race. it is pathetic. it is pathetic he made up an obvious lie any HALF thinking person can see right through. right, she wanted a manuscript of his...for john cage. unbelievable. but i guess there are some idiots who can somehow believe something so idiotic it is almost shocking.
      as far as yoko using heroin again around the time of johns death and not telling him about it, i don't get how you would know what she tells john, or how it is significant to you whether or not she took heroin or not. you don't know anything about her heroin use or what she tells john and it isn't your business and it is completely freakish of you to imagine this is somehow meaningful to your life. yoko ono spent her life campaigning against war, fighting for the environment, women's rights and the democratization of art. what she tells her husband doesn't seem like it should be your business. that is oddball of you. it isn't your business if she hooks up with another person before during or after her marriage to john lennon, you should keep your creepy mind off her body it isn't your business, how creepy. her grieving isn't your business and it is really creepy you dare to make an assessment of her grief or what it should be like as though she is somehow supposed to suit you. freakish. yoko ono is an artist. she can put anything she wants on her album cover and a nazi, fascist album cover lunatic will not be able to control what an artist decides to do until you are the facist nazi leader of the world controlling artists like the freak show you are. you don't know anything about john's inheritance except some moronic gossip you heard from her bitter stepson julian. they settled out of court. there was one person guilty of disenfranchising julian, that was john. he neglected him so much he didn't even bother to put him in his will. john was the responsible party, but you irrationally blame her for john's failure, typical moronic woman hating racist. how would a simpleton like you who can't think on your own, almost utterly devoid of reason, know what yoko ono thinks or feels when you have never bothered to listen to what she is saying because you are too busy listening to music.
      im sorry you couldn't understand my simple statements about yoko ono getting in a car. both john and yoko have told the story a thousand times how they met. they didn't meet with her getting in his car. whether or not yoko tried to get a ride with her friend, john lennon, once upon a time, is really a non event, turned into something by his ex wife who made much about nothing because she was retrospectively traumatized by johns abandonment and she remembered a non event as meaningful. you are simply an idiot to not understand something so mind numbingly uneventful and why. john loved her. i get it. if you are so idiot you can't figure it out, why don't you ask yoko ono if she met paul first. she may have talked about it. it is so pathetic. paul was trying to break them up. that is so jealous like a little girl pathetic. they forgave him for it the way you forgive your autistic little brother. and i believe it was so beneath both of them to even acknowledge that kind of idiocy. you are an idiot. really. that is what i am dealing with and i typed so much to an idiot who doesn't get what i am talking about. an idiot who really thinks they should decide what to put on someone else's album cover who can't even reason logically for sentence.
