I know you don't want spoilers, but mechanics-wise, you can swing on the left of the horse by using L1 or L2.
Also try dashing to out pace arrows on the horse? You also get I-frames while mounting and dismounting. Do with that information what you may. Hope this doesn't ruin anything for you.
I noticed you mentioned that you didn't like one handing on the horse as well. It's unclear if it's a bug or not, but you still do damage like you're two handing even though you only use one hand. It could also have to do with the added momentum from riding a horse, logically speaking. At least that's how I'm choosing to look at it.
@@nathanielthiemann4002 I assume that has to be intended, as you could otherwise not use weapons whose stat requirements you only meet while 2handing on the horse.
@@skeletonwar4445 i mean its fantasy and all but not holding on probably isnt thr greatest idea while in mounted combat
@@ioverslept. I mean 2handing mechanically. So you can meet the str req with the 1.5x multiplier on the horse.
not sure you've noticed yet, but you can permanently kill skeletons by hitting them right before rising back up, when that light blue light shows up.
He did it before and didn't notice it, I was screaming hahaha

Yo Hi Squilla just found your Channel like a month ago when i was playing dark souls 3 again before Elden Ring release. I would like to watch your Streams live on Twitch but because of spoilers I rather watch later when i am done with the game on RUclips so thanks for the uploads!
This game is just Dark Souls 4, but with jumping, a mount, stealth, a map, radically more colorful art style, and drastically more open and nonlinear progression than any of the first three. So ya know, just so much new stuff that if they had named it 'Dark Souls 4' that same guy in chat would be salty about how different it is and how it should have been a different series.

Love watching Squilla. Finally beat the game (once, still need Malenia and a couple more endings for 100%) so now I can finally watch hm play Elden ring!
Major differences; he’s good I’m not, my ocd makes me explore every map segment fully before I move on, and when I obviously make progression I back track. Huh, north is progressing the story I wonder what those big blobs to the east and south are all about.
Bloodhound fang is my favorite weapon. Well that and the pulley bow.
When you dismount with L3 (or equivalent button) then press Heavy Attack you will do a plunging attack midair. Very useful and it looks cool. If you're power stancing you can press L1 to do a power stance jump attack after dismounting. Also the claw Talisman and Black Fearher armor both stack to give a hefty bonus to jump attacks.
This game content is amazing... I was exploring really much of this as I like to find secrets etc. I am juts before ng+ after 300h...ok I did some support for bosses.. Anyhow I still missed some things/bosses etc.. Like the one in this video... Wow

After watching videos of no hit, challenge etc. Runners i gotta be honest my exoectetions were much higher. Shows how much hundreds of hours play a huge role.
