Hi DM very nice build, although of course very high level. I also have some questions. Why do you want to drop concentration of the conjure elemental? Casting planar binding wouldn't need that step right? The problem I see is, that after dropping concentration the elemental will become hostile. And planar binding doesn't seem to change that, as it says "The creature obeys the letter of your instructions, but if the creature is hostile to you, it strives to twist your words to achieve its own objectives.". So the army of invisible stalkers might pose a certain risk, don't they?

You should consider *any* creature you summoned to obey as "hostile". 😉

Thank you, and good question! Actually that will happen whether you drop concentration or not, because the act of casting planar binding will break your concentration. This is because casting a spell that has a casting time of more than 1 action requires concentration, so the moment you begin casting planar binding your concentration on conjure elemental is broken. That is what the circle is for - to protect you from the hostile entity and keep it trapped. As for the elemental's behavior during the time it is bound, I would agree with @vanAaken and assume that any planar entity you have forcefully bound through magic is probably not happy with you! Hope this helps. :-)

@@level20dm It kinda sounds like you wouldn't be able to do anything with them then?

@@Flaraen I wouldn't say that - the entire spell Planar Binding is designed with this in mind. Plus it follows a pretty standard fantasy trope about bound entities. I think rather it adds some interesting elements for the Dm to play with should they choose to do so.
