You guys have really made my day because I have a 97 4Runner that has been sitting for at least 4 yrs and now I'm ready to put it in the shop to put her back on the road. Only has 119k miles so I refuse to get rid of it because I believe it still has a much longer life.

My 1st (& only & likely last) brand spankin new car ever purchased was a 1990 V6 4 Runner > $20K I blv it was
Drove it for 13+ yrs putting 220K on it > sold it (forget for how much) in late 2003 & turned it into a 2003 Sport Edition V8...a dealer demo that had 7K miles on it > drove it until some young gal T boned me as I was doin 40-45...she was more focused on her damn phone than paying attn to her surroundings while behind the wheel...side curtain airbags saved my ass & I walked out of the ER same day with minor injury ...car totalled of course... rolled 2+ times & thankfully ended up on all 4's blv it or not...jaws of life needed to crack my door > affer getting shafted by insurance I went out & absolutely bought another used '03 V8 Sport & drove it until early 2017 > so was in 4 Runners from 90-17 > not getting Younger & only reason I got out of the 4 Rumner was it was time to get a Cayenne > a 6 yr (2011) S model V8 with 67K miles....now with 117K & very much been enjoying this ride.... it's true what they say about Porsches....a real drivers car > you gotta appreciate & love driving if you wanna pay the premium.
But damn.....will ALWAYS miss the 4 Runner

0:23 & prior to the 90 4 Runner was driving a '82 Datsun King Cab 4X ...was my college & beyond car circa 83-90 ...but once I went 4 Runner there was no turning back for 37+ yrs...apples & oranges of course btwn the King Cab & 2nd Gen 4 Runner....not fair to compare imo

32x11.50x15 Maxxis Big Horn. Stock height, no lift.
