This episode left me asking so many questions. How did Thanos become infected if he likely already got the Power Stone from Xandar before he arrived? How did he get the other stones if the events of this timeline played out the way they did? How did Zombie Thanos still have enough sentience to know how to use the stones? What would he do once he inevitably got his hands on the Mind Stone since Earth has already been completely infected, and wiping out half of them wouldn’t make a difference?

Well because the virus affects the mind and the stone is clearly called the mind stone. Although I have a feeling the soul stone would have the same effect, however considering that we saw thanos at the end wield the soul stone without any effect makes it unlikely.
What so interesting about watching this particular episode is how the fallen Heroes and Villains who became Zombies would still use their powers. Afterall, Zombies in general are instinct creatures who primary goal is to feed, to use their sills like Magic of the scarlet Witch and Iron Man armor is more of a mindset purpose.
This episode is a reference to the zombie comics timeline. The virus essentially gave them enhanced strength, vitality and other stuff in exchange for an insatiable hunger. These guys can actually talk but would need to feed on a lot of humans to regain their cognition function. They're still themselves. Just incredibly hungry
Remember that in the MCU if a characther's death isnt fully shown then that person isn't dead. Just like in captain america when bucky fell off the train.

The Mind Stone is the only way to reverse the effects of the zombie apocalypse. That’s how he was able to keep Scott’s head alive. Just for some reason, Zombie Wanda was immune to the effects of the Mind Stone. Most likely because the Mind Stone is how she got her powers so she’s probably immune to it because of that.

Appreciate the reference to the original Marvel Zombies by using T’Challa as a snack for one of the hero zombies. But what doesn’t make sense is why Thanos was in Wakanda. He only went there for the Mind Stone. And he didn’t get the Time Stone from Strange. Hell, his minions JUST got to Earth to retrieve them. It also seems like 1. Hulk is immune to this virus and 2. They could use the completed Gauntlet to either undo all the damage and deaths or eradicate the virus and the zombies with it. Since no one died FOR the Stones, they should be able to resurrect anyone.
