I did get to see him 3 times live. And on top of being a great artist, he was beautiful, that facial bone structure and those eyes, plus a great sense of humour, and he didn't take himself too seriously. Damn! Him and the entire band were flawless in this show. I've watched the whole show multiple times and there are no mistakes made. David was as personable, charismatic and at peak Bowie. Truly a one in a million.
It was truly perfect. The bass player is Gail Ann Dorsey, who toured with him from 1995 until he passed. She's amazing. She grew up in West Philadelphia. The only time I've ever seen her perform in person that I know of was when she played a gig with singer-songwriter Susan Werner. I had to look her up and find out everything. She was that good.
I have listened to Bowie everyday since his passing...and I continue to find new gems...different versions and interpretations of his music...strangely death has given Bowie life~to me.
