The mastery of the use of I-frames baffles me, the way you do it is amazing to watch. as somebody who has never utilized I-frames and only used parrying as my main defense, it's amazing to see a man do what I can't.

@@darealbingoxz1142 it's also because armstrong in the dlc is just broken and it's op. He can literally levitate and reach you even if you dodge with that stupid charge and grab attacks... And he spams them like nothing. Also, a big problem that mgr has is that your charged attack can be easily stopped, unlike, for example, bloodborne, where once you have finished to charge your attack it cannot be stopped unless you die.
Sam's movement is nice, but his moveset is much trickier to use well. Combine that with the final boss of the base game being your opponent, and the weird things going on with his sam dlc exclusive charge and you get a seriously difficult battle. I feel like they must have messed something up when coding for his new dashing attack, because the turn radius on it and the things it does to the camera when it abuses that abnormal turn radius screams "unfortunate developer who literally didn't have the time to fix this bug."

I recommend using the pincer blades (Maxed w/skills) more often during Excelsus to do a lot of damage. Either way, fantastic job. Another tip: Try getting the Infinity Wig B so that you can go Ripper Mode forever during Excelsus and Armstrong. ANOTHER TIP: Don't use Raiden's Standard Body for Armstrong's final battle since everything in Blade mode is orange and it's difficult to cut the debris that Armstrong throws at you (the skin shown here is fine) srry for the rant, just sharing some tips that could've been useful when I did this 11:46 I just realized how much damage you actually do in this (and all) QTE.
I don't use the Pincer Blades that often for the very reason you listed. It gets boring just smacking things with them and dealing tons of damage. Not to mention getting the 80-hit combo would be far more challenging. I have the wigs. They're boring. I enjoy having to be careful with my Ripper mode and deciding when to use it for utility vs when to use it for a burst of extra damage. As for the skin, it has no buffs. Nothing about it is different than the standard skin other than how Raiden looks.
Brilliantly played does your Fuel bar drain at a set rate due in QTE's like the end part? Odd because you needed the slower drain speed from ripper mode to cut though the rubble. how did you mange the excelsus fights with Armstrong when you're on top of him no matter how many fights I see of those sections it always feels like 50% luck 50% Skill.
@@samydc310 All it really is is evade and jump. I jump over his grab attack and evade everything else. I try to keep some distance from him so he has to lunge since he's slow to turn and use another attack afterwards. If you're too close after dodging, he can swipe at you and transition into another attack rather fast.
@@samydc310 on revengeance difficulty he has an extra move iirc, but you can avoid everything he's got by dodging at a specific timing. Sometimes you need to dodge twice but there's plenty of time. Just don't be next to him all the time, don't get trapped in a corner, and don't try to damage him too much (it can make you transition to the next phase the first time you get hit - which ends your no-damage run by autosaving)
How did you get reasonable time to press the button before punching Armstrong in his 3rd phase? (whenever I play it gives me less than a second to do it)
@@VirtuallyInsaneBlues They can actually be different. The only QTE in Armstrong's 3rd phase that's always the same is the final QTE section to kill him. From what I've seen, the other QTEs in that Phase can be Spacebar, F, Left Mouse button, or Right Mouse button. Whenever I activate one of those QTEs, I just hover my fingers over the buttons so I'm prepared.
In terms of boss difficulty, for me it goes: 1. Mistral (Very Easy) 2. Sundowner (Easy) 3. MG Excelsus (Easy) 4. Monsoon (Normal) 5. Sam (Hard) 6. Senator (Harder) The reason I list Senator has “Harder” and not “Very Hard” is because while he is the toughest boss in the game, comparing him to Sam in difficulty he isn’t all that much more challenging. Sam is at level with Raiden in terms of offensive and defensive capabilities. Being able to play it slow and more counter focused while also able to speed it up and put the pressure on you. Senator Relies on Power and Aggression which makes him more predictable and easy to set up counters. Don’t underestimate him though because he can take out 100% of your health in 4 hits, causing you to be at a disadvantage or dead, early in the fight.
I learned this from watching other videos but once armstrong is below 20%, you don't need to retrieve the sword. Raiden will automatically retrieve the sword during the final QTE if he doesn't have it already. BTW, this fight is so much better without wig B cheese. I appreciate you doing this challenge the right way unlike some other commenters.

I Got s rank on senator on revengeance difficulty and my highest combo was him (İn 700 hits i dont remember) but i Got B rank on excelsus whats wrong with me Edit after 2 month: my highest combo on revengeance senator was 798 and i got 10200 points on that fight and i currently quit mgrr, good luck to the people Who is gonna start i finished with 6 swords, and complete 30% vr missions and get red armor, its the Best
@@WednesdayMan Yep it is, but we also have to push the movement button, there are two ways: - The first one is by pressing Z + movement button - And the second one is by pressing Left Click + Space and movement button (almost at the same time) Why is it hard / challenging? Because sometimes you miss-pressed them. And it could be frustrating sometimes. Also, when enemy attacks are in diagonal position, when parrying, you miss-pressed the diagonal keys (W+A / W+D / S+A / S+D) sometimes, and this is very hard for no-damage players. That's why many players complain that facing Monsoon is impossible without any damage. LOL

One person wrote to me that some attacks start in cooperation with the music. It is worth paying attention to the fact that when Raidane or Sam loses the Murasama blade from the hands, the soundtrack changes to a minus version.

If you want to deal good damage on Armstrong's Phase 1, use Bloodlust.
I save Ripper mode for Blade Mode sections. Blade Mode is finnicky on KB+M, and Ripper mode gives me extra time to line up my swings.

why everytime i parry excelsus blade attacks (like this one at 0:10) i take damage? do i need to do a perfect-timed parry in order to block it and not taking damage??

He used ofense-defensr
when the attack is almost hitting you, you do the parry (yes, it has to be perfect)
It alway damages you unless you're 0.1 hp from what i remember.
This is not a parry, this is... Dodge with an attack, this is done with jump + attack and direction
Or offensive defense with the Z button
