For me, part of the reason he immediately got stuck in my brain and refuses to leave is how he _isn't_ just the typical "adorable goober" the internet likes to fall in love with; he's still cute, lovable, and silly, but he's not the "naive, innocent cinnamon-roll" type; he's pretty sharp, and he's got a _really_ pronounced snarky, biting side to him.

This is the first mascot horror game outside of, like, FNAF Security Breach where the mascot is actually a charismatic character. Indigo Park added one more ingredient to their mascot that makes the game far better though: *an entire bowl of mixed fruit.*

13:15 "How does a town get _this_ destroyed?" You'd be surprised how quick nature is to take back what once belonged to it. Look up the urban exploration videos on Disney's Discovery Island and River Country, those areas have become completely decrepit. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if urban exploration stuff wasn't referenced for or even inspired Indigo Park to an extent.

Fun fact: The poodle plush that Rambley mocks (31:20) is a reference to a FNaF-inspired game called "Playtime With Percy", of which the main animatronic character is a similar-looking poodle. Likewise, the audio recording from the Rambley head you checked right afterwards is a reference to a FNaF fangame called "Dayshift at Freddy's", an RPG maker VN parody in which a few characters use TTS voice acting, and one of them refers to another character as "Old Sport", hence the weird way those two are talking in the audio recording.
The guy who said old sport was Purple Guy referring to the player. Going to Vegas was one of the endings too

Now that you mention it, given the entrance collapses behind you, getting on the train probably _wasn't_ the best idea. Though all the other routes were also blocked. That said with how jacked the arms are Ed could probably just scale the fence if he wanted to leave.

From what I've seen, gameplay-wise it's not all that special and the horror elements are... well, they're weak but at least you don't have those annoying jump scares.
That being said, Rambley is definitely the star of the show here. I don't know if that was intentional but he's definitely gotten popular on the 'net.

Let me just say that the disclaimer at the beginning helps out a lot. It honestly clears out any misunderstanding of you not liking the game and allows us to treat this playthrough as very lighthearted one. Trust me when I say that 15 seconds in the beginning completely flipped how I'd react to this video.

I've said this before, but this game has a lot of heart in it. it's very rough around the edges, and clearly a first-time dev, but it has some interesting ideas that I want to see explored some more.

I mean i understand why but.
Anyways, fun fact: the "Rambley Special", one of the menu items in the cafe, was canonically straight up a whole roasted racoon.
For only 9 bucks, too!
Also there are alcohol bottles littering the park.
And taking into account the other *concerning* design choices, I'm starting to think the "incident" was less a reason to close the park and more an excuse to.
Also, another fun fact: The audio recording attached to the old mascot costume was actually a reference to Dayshift at Freddy's, the only good FNAF fangame series, right down to the duo heading for vegas after getting fired and one of the VAs immitating the mannerisms of the text-to-speech program used for that character!
...Though, the fact they're going to vegas together means they're specifically on the route where you (Old sport) help jackson (Dave (Purple guy)) kill those five kids...
...And that *wasn't* the incident that closed the park ether!
They operated for years after that! And charged 3.50 for what was probably a small fry!
Considering everything else that was apparently going on in this wonderland of violations and crime, i honestly would not be surprised if fire extinguishers *were* being used to smuggle coke because that would genuinely not even be in the top five worst things done at this park.
Like the entirety of the landing pad was maliciously made to injure and trap children, I bet a lack of fire safety was a feature and those extinguishers were empty anyways.
Also Rambley decapitated the macot, not you.
This would be a shocker in any other park, but honestly the fact Rambley's only killed one thing so far is *so far* below par for this place's staff average that i can still comfortably call him naively innocent.

Honestly it's cool to see a mascot horror game not overplay the horror. Indigo Park seems to be embracing the inherent silliness of the genre, and that stands to its credit. Hopefully the guts of the actual horror emerge in its story; I think we're all numb to jumpscares by now.
Also, recommending Arch Enemy in the description? Hell yeah dude. I got into them through Metal: Hellsinger of all places (which I _highly_ recommend if you haven't played; it's very much a case of 'oh shit they included a surprisingly good game with this badass heavy metal soundtrack').
