I had to use guides to beat more of this game than I'm proud to admit but thank you. It allowed me to enjoy this game in its entirety, and the insane storyline that this game puts forward.
Thank you for the video. Love your analysis and you pointed out things I never realized even after decades. I.E. that Liquid's fists being raised in Phase 1 indicates he's going to counterattack you and that you should go for a throw instead. I thought that was entirely random and I'd just flail at him like a toddler at the playground and get countered into oblivion. Currently stuck on him on the Master Collection version. Has pretty bad input lag which makes this fight a real pain. EDIT: YOU CAN DUCK HIS BULL CHARGE!? 20 years and I had no idea that attack was duckable! (I knew his kick can be ducked at least)
After dying 129379002 times I figured out how to beat him. When his HP reaches almost less than 40% you hit him 2 times then wait for him to make his combos and hit again twice, when it reaches 20% hit him only once and keep cycling. When he reaches 10hp he gets extremely cheesy he will be making lots of combos do not attack him wait for him to charge at you try to avoid it and hit him. Boom
I just wanted to comment and say you are the most beautiful bastard on planet earth. I couldn’t quite pull off the double punch method but I used the single punch one and absolutely annihilated him. Thank you mate 😂
@@januszkurahenowski2860 played on normal difficulty aswell. took me like 10 tries and maybe 25 minutes for metal gear rex, but like 40 tries and 90 minutes for liquid.
I done it first try last night haven't played it In a lot of years I got the bandanna.. played through there today for the stealth camo and I'm at the fight he has beat me 9 times in a row. I give up here lol I am so bad today think I'll have a rest and try tomorrow with a few of your tips I didn't know the crouch to avoid kick thing it's weird how stuff works sometimes lol
I couldn’t get the hang of it, I either ran in that direction or choked him. Anyway I beat him the old fashioned way, I ran round like a mad man just jabbing him when I could.
I don't understand why people have difficulty with this boss. He wasn't as infiruating as the Second Sniper Wolf boss or as tough as REX (though Rex IS supposed to be an invincible threat). I mean, I only played it on normal so far, so I might not know how he behaves on Extreme, but still.
This fight is making me not only wish I didn't buy this trash, but not want to finish this game. And I planed on more play thoughs, but with this trash fuck it.

what a horrible boss fight. almost game ruining. without doing the punch glitch this fight is almost impossible. what a sad way to end such a great game.
Even on extreme you don't need infinite punches, as long as you understand Liquid's behavior. Good luck! FYI, the infinite punch isn't a glitch, it's an intended mechanic :)
holy shit i hate this fight, yes let’s have a hand to hand combat fight where the guy who is obviously doing more damage and is a literal ai has invincibility frames

Second sniper wolf is the easiest boss fight, all you need is the Nikita launcher and she’s help less
@@imamhussain9506 I'm talking about the legit way, which is using the PSG-1. Probably everybody uses the Nikita method against her.
