The moment Julia started singing she was all in her feels and it actually felt that her heart was racing, but as soon as niall stepped in his calm demeanor and voice soothed her and while singing he slightly grabbed her hand to assure her that it's alright. IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL
I know, he was so in tune with her emotions and every time her eyes were tearing up or her voice quavering a bit he’d reach out and touch her…. so very sweet and comforting. I’m guessing she was having a hard time in rehearsal too. It makes this performance so poignant though. Plus, PURPLE PANTS 💜😉

I've watched this so many times and I never noticed how truly emotional julia was, I thought it was just a performance for a sad song yk, also I was more focused on niall, but she looked actually hurt, and by the end, it kinda feels like she wanted to cry, that's when niall hugged her

One thing about niall that is great is that when ever he does collaborate with another artist, he is very good at making sure he doesn't ruin the emotion of the story of the song he is jumping into, even if he is singing the part of the "bad guy". From both of his collaborations with Julia and Ashe you can see him making sure the story is told their way, and he honors it. And helps them through it when it gets tough.

You can see in every part of her body she is upset. The way she looks at him, runs her hand down his chest its like shes looking at her ex and reliving it all over again which must be painful.
