Watching this in 2021 and it’s crazy how this guy went from “patatoeeeee” and “pop sugar sugar pop sugar pop pop” to this. Sadly I wasn’t old enough to be into a boy band when they were still together but I listened to their music without knowing who they were everyday and now I look back at old videos of them and it makes so so proud to see how far they have come. Just a week ago I became obsessed with 1D and I was in the shower so I decided to put on a 1D Spotify playlist and I broke down in tears as I realized almost all of the songs I played on a loop swinging on the swing in the summer in my backyard were sung by them. And as the memories flooded back so did the tears. these guys did so much for my younger self as I was not a social kid. I hope one day I can thank them each in person and tell them how proud I am of how far they have come they are truly my inspiration to live an amazing life.

It is natural and normal for him to be sad, he is a human, he should be able to express the sad and dark things in his life. It would be unhealthy for him to just bottle everything up and act happy and crazy all the time. There are more sides and facets to a person than a "happy" person or a "crazy, silly" person. To ignore a side of a person, or to ask someone to hide that side of themselves would be cruel. Music is supposed to be an expression of our humanity, that is what makes it relatable, that is what makes it meaningful. This is my favorite song by Niall, and I honestly don't miss One Direction because I love their solo music more than I loved their group music. Their solo music has more depth to it.

I never got to see him in concert since I started listening to 1D in February 2019 because I had seen Louis as a judge in XFACTOR and I was downloading movies for the plane so I did This is us. I was focusing on Louis since i only knew him. Niall caught my way I remember and I love them now. Years ago I thought they were overrated. I remember years back I had on the pandora app and a made in the am song came on ( I think it was drag me down, history, long way down or if I could fly) and I skipped it. I regret that. I remember getting Liam and Zayn mixed up in the movie. I have now listened to most of their music including solo ones. God I so wanna see Nialler in concert

@@nanamimi7385 I find that sometimes it is a good thing, sometimes it helps me feel, process and then get rid of all the emotions that I bury inside and try to hide from and forget. Things like fear, grief, anger, shame and guilt. I can listen to the music and let those feelings bubble up to the surface and then I express them within the safety of the music and then I feel better again. Then I can listen to something else and think about something else and be happy again without the weight of the darker emotions sitting in the back of my mind insidiously.
But sometimes it is best to just let those sleeping feelings lie still until you feel ready to deal with them. :)

😢 my daughter heard this song on the radio for the first time just before my mom passed away. she was driving in her car and she called me to put my phone on speakerphone so her GG could hear the song😢 GG was her grandmother and best friend and my mom and best friend😢 and had been laying in intensive care for almost 4 weeks before we actually lost her. 😭😭😭 and almost 6 years ago. Just came from his concert here in Prague today. He was wonderful. I loved the way he was talking to the audience. He was thanking everyone who came from a different country, booked flights and hotel and tickets to see HIM. And he pointed at himself. So cute. He was great.
