Carol was quietly one of the greatest songwriters of all time. She's surrounded here by some amazing musicians.
Carole, and with Gerry writing the lyrics, yes, they were an all-time great team.
They're having an absolute blast!
Carol’s creative force is legendary!!! She is one of the best of the best.
Dang she can play the heck out that piano. I can't stop watching this video
Same To me, like watch it over and over again
me to love watching her
same to me. I can´t stop watching it. Specially at the begining, when she hits to the piano.
RIGHT?!!!
Playing piano to an upbeat song and singin at the same time is damn hard and she handles it.
What I really like about watching Carol singing this is just how much fun she is having. What a talent!
I loved seeing her in concert during her Living Room Tour. Her stage was a reproduction of her apartment's living room, rugs and all!
They are having an absolute blast belting this one out!
If it wasn't for Carole all those groups and solo singers wouldn't have had anything like the success they enjoyed! She catapulted them!
what ones?
Her first husband and musical partner, Gerry Goffin wrote some of the most iconic lyrics for their songs. "Will you love me tomorrow' is Gerry Goffin!
The Chiffons who made this song a hit.
And the Sherrells( Will you still love me tomorrow?)
Cap
absolute rubbish lol
Carol's delivery of her own song is raw, beautiful and sincere. This could only be done by the person whose mind conjured up those emotive words. This brought a tear to my eye and choked me up - Carol you are beautiful thanks for yet another memorable classic.
Is this song Carol King 's?
@@clairedelune2011 lmao no
@@clairedelune2011 she wrote it
Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote this song
This could only be done by the person whose mind conjured up those emotive words. Gerry Goffin wrote the lyrics. Carole wrote the music. Same goes for "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" and "Natural Woman".
She’s actually enjoying every minute of her performances. Girl, that’s a blessing!
Me at 69 years old, still have a crush on Carole King ..... "She's So Fine" !!!
Carole King . you're a solid gold
Legend..pure gifted and Talented
So many songs that will remain
And bring new generations to hear these songs again..You are one of the best ever ..so humble and soft spoken...song writer extrodinare.. thank you
Carole King and Gerry Goffin wrote so many songs for other artists, it's incredible.
This was a hit for the Chiffons.
Her album Tapestry is a genuine classic and everyone should have it in their collection.
Carole King is a legend.
Carole King is a flat out badass.
Wow I've only heard the original Chiffons version. Carole absolutely kills this! So epic. Love her.
She sure did, ripped it real good! Captured the essence of what the Chiffons did.
Teniendo en cuenta que lo escribió con Gerry Goffin...
@@zangzang1268Well, she wrote it so I'm sure she enjoys singing it😎
listen to the Carpenters version. Amazing too :)
Talented musician, talented, songwriter, talented vocalist,Carol King is certainly gifted!!
One of the most joyous songs of all time.
Carole King seems like such a sweet person besides being one of the most talented people in pop/rock history!
Singer, songwriter, composer extraordinaire! One of the 20th century's best. Magic happens when she sits down at the keyboard. Look at that smile... You can just feel the great time they're having belting this one out!
In the words of the late, great John Peel "When this lady plays a piano, it stays played". The woman is rightly a legend.
I love her big smile when she slams those first banging cords. She KNOWS the music she created is AWSOME. And FUN. Absolutely the best singer songwriter of my lifetime.
You weren’t alive when Dylan was? by the way he wrote the lyrics to his songs.
God, I love the way she plays. Pure passion and joy.
Nothing like a good singer-song writer.
what a joyous person, with a heart full of wonderful music...
I've never heard Carole sing this one! She's amazing and she plays the crap out of it, as does the whole band. Fabulous!!!
absolutely the Queen of our music era - singer songwriter musician
I'm 23 but I have memories of this song from 12. 🤧 So good!
I wish the sound quality was better on this. Carole King and her backup band just nail it here and she knows it as can be seen at the end as indicated by her infectious smile and laugh. This performance is better than the album cut from which this is intended to promote. This video holds up extremely well over 40 years later.
This lady is talent at its best.
She hung out with one of my neighbors on E21St. I remember her as a short skinny, freckled face girl with a pony tail. She looks pretty much the same. She was a year behind me in HS. She was always musically active in HS. They were good times back then.
She had a good friend at the famous Brill (music) building, who actually dated her a short time before then: some guy named Neil Sedaka. :) His 1958 torch song, "Oh! Carol" was about her. He was 19, she was 16, but known as Carol Klein. The song hit #9 in 1959.
Bayboy11235: Thanks 4 the history. Lucky you !
Bayboy11235 hi how r yall
How fun & yes good old days back then for a lot of us in all parts of the country. I wished I'd known how good!
@@freeguy77 ... and Neil wrote and sang the song "Oh Carol" for her, and she replied with a very humorous answer song, "Oh, Neil", which contained the immortal rhyme "I'd give up all my chewin' tobackky, just to be Mrs. Neil Sedackky!"
This brings back those memories of my growing up in the greatest times of Rock and roll. We were so lucky to have performers and composers like Carol King. I loved her then and still always love her forever. These were the best years of my life and represented times that were so much more pure and innocent. Love love love this music!
This is genius. A musical masterpiece. The Chiffons' version was great but this is outstanding. Carole King is just terrific.
One of the best pop songs ever written.
She can play the shit out of that piano. Good voice, good looking woman, very talented.
RIP my Maternal Grandparents for bringing this BEAUTIFUL type of music into my life💐💖💐💖
I enjoy Ms king music she has a magnificent voice indeed
She'll brighten up even your darkest night
Love the king!! Iconic and a legend for sure...one of the all time greats!!!
Amazing energy and joy. A pure pleasure to watch!
Right on
Thank you Carole for the memories and the awesome talent you have shared for generations,
This a composer and I never heard a better version of the song...WOW she's great!
I love this song because it has a heart to it, like all good songs do
The Beetles had four to come up with hits... Carole was one person putting out one beautiful song after another. She's the definition of a living legend.
Carole was great, but don't knock the Beatles, comparing apples with oranges. This is a simple I, IV, V Minor VI chord sequence, but she made it work so nicely. The Beatles used some really cool jazz chords on their later albums.
And here’s another flaw with the original post, it wasn’t a one person effort. You might wanna look into Gerry Goffin. (Hint if you like the words to this song and many of other of “her” hits, he wrote them all)
@@steviesevieria1868She still wrote the song, he just wrote the lyrics. Both are essential.
I love this song by the Chiffons, and I love Carole King. AND I love this version.
More talent in her little toe than most musicians ever have in their lives.
Absolutely fantastic! This is a marvelous original composer version of a fabulous tune. I can't get enough of this.
Carol King was a Queen Of Music! Incredible talent.
Go Carole !
What energy
Here's a soul that deserves fine days
Thank you for brightning ours
I don'r think I could attend a Carole King concert. Those songs, so pure and heartfelt, just dismantle the emotions and I couldn't take them in public. And boy, can the lady bash a piano.
Thank you! Thought it was just me. Saw her with James Taylor and I cried thru the whole concert!
Ashley Harrison: it would be unseemly 4 most men 2 cry listening 2 some of her lyrics. ( sniff-sniff )
Right here with you, Ashley!
You r beautiful
A big Tribute from Germany for a wonderful Woman and Singer. Thank you.
Love Love Love She is such a pivotal part of my adolescence. Thank you sweet Lady.
excellent sax player...on a great song ..by the person who wrote it.... WOW
Her songs all come right from the heart. Honest and authentic. Thanks, Carol!
“One fine day, we’ll meet once more and then you’ll want the love, you threw away before...”
Thanks for quoting Gerry!
The synchronization during the solos is amazing, and they know it. My favorite part of this is watching each of the musicians light up cause they know they're killin it.
“Thee a-rms I long for, will open wide, and you’ld be proud to have me, walking by your si-de” 😩 Ooh the innocence of those times.. Whatever to pop music today?
song makes me happy
every time !!!!!
I love Carole King !!!! PEACE TO THE WORLD !!!!Q
Dearest Carol! My heart goes boom, boom, boom. What a fantastic woman and what a great interpretation of the song "One fine day" by the Ciffons. I wish you all the love and stay healthy!
Interpretation of a Carole King/Gerry Goffin song.
Carol King composed this song with her first husband Gerry Goffin. It was subsequently recorded by The Chiffons. This is an interpretation of “One Fine Day” by Carole King and Gerry Goffin.
@@direfranchement yes, and Carole is reprising the piano part that she played on the original chiffons hit.
Amazing rendition! Great energy. Well done!
Oh wow I never knew she did this! I absolutely love Carole King! Such a great singer!
Carol is rippin' this up! You go GIRL!
She is truly wonderful and I think
in awe of both her own talent and the audience’s enthusiasm.
I remember Hearing Carol's songs when I was growing up back in the 70's. She's a genius.
Love seeing Eric Johnson here on his guitar. What a great guy and awesome player.
I totally agreed MOST OF THEM , She is EXCELLENT 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️🇺🇸
I love this woman! What great music she's brought us.Extreme gratitude
The tune is a great one and that ringing piano riff is like the dinner bell to a tasty treat...my ears perk up!
carole is great writer and singer and player wow great stuff love it
Carole , I will forever Love your music, unique and beautiful voice. #1 in my book!!
Just enjoy the energy she puts into her classic song.
She hits the right keys in the opening bars which makes it so authentic she's amazing 🎉❤
my tears are running down my smiling face
Very nice , she's a class act. Glad I clicked on this one. I never know how many songs Carol King wrote for other artists - it's amazing. She's a super talented and gifted lady.
What a great song writer!
I can only ever dream of being as utterly joyful and full of life as Carole is in this take! A total classic
Beautifull song, its very best
carole king is just awesome
Carole is amazing and a legend
Nice and I love this song too🎹🎤
A genius song writer! Deserved to be in the Hall of Fame ❤
Truly one of greats of all time!!!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. Her mother and my mother were friends. Though I had met her mom, I am sorry to say that I have never met Carole. Would love to, but I doubt that will ever happen.
Thank you for posting! It was really a treat to watch Carol sing this song live!
shes perfect is what she is.......she should have sung EVERYTHING SHE WROTE she was too kind in allowing other artists to use her superb talents.....thank god we have this pure gift from god
It wasn’t kindness, she didn’t have that opportunity early on. She and Gerry worked in a room that wasn’t much more than a closet and their job was to crank out hits. And they did a damn good job of it!
Ultra-talented, sexy, energetic, and.....at least from outward appearance.....it seems as though no one ever had as much fun as this wonderful performer.
Best music video of all time.
What a fantastic version of Carols great song!! So much energy , this is a real feel good video!!
Snappy, happy tune, and great lyrics.
Carole King knows how to write.
She performs from the heart. That is where all good much has to start.
Her voice is beginning to go now as she gets much older, but she still is an American Treasure.
Thanks you for the kind words for Gerry Goffin.
She wrote so many hits...and Tapestry was ground breaking... I loved her and Carly Simon..
Both musical gems 💕
Wow -- totally changes my impressions of Carole. Great version of a classic tune.
she plays the piano with the soul!
wonderful makes me happy every time !
over all the years a huge song !!
I can't believe this only has 1,400 likes.
Makes me tingle....
That was very impressive. My favorite all-time song. And now I’ve seen its roots. Thank you.
Carole King is an American treasure
Let's not forget that Rita Coolidge made this song a minor hit on the top 40 charts in 1979. I liked Rita's version as well as Carole's version.
What a wonderfully gifted girl she was !! She gave the world so much pleasure.
Best female song writer ever.
One of the best. Period. No need to qualify it.
My god beautiful song!!!
An amazing song writer.
They simply don't make em like this anymore. We have lived through the greatest music ever made. It'll never be as good as it was.
childhood memories! loved this song then and still do! happy music!
A very talented & beautiful lady with so many classical hits will be played & remembered for decades.
