    • @DeathMessenger1988
      @DeathMessenger1988 4 месяца назад +7

      It is also a pretty good AU on the book. Rather than being disturbed his creation and running away, Dr. Frankenstein cares about him (even though it's uglier than Book-Adam) and refuses to let Dracula harm him. Thus the monster/Adam, unlike his book self, doesn't become a homicidal misanthrope.

      I agree. He's all confident when Frankenstein is restrained. In this particular moment, with Frankenstein being "brand new" for lack of a better phrase, I think Dracula was trying to work out where he was so as to prepare a better defence, as he realises that the creation is clearly very strong (having escaped his restraints whilst Dracula was distracted by feeding on Victor) so he's right to be a bit concerned.

    This film is underrated and hopefully time will prove it. The whole film should’ve been in black in white. I think it would’ve been received better.
    People expect modern films to be in color, so they also expect everything else that goes with modern films. Serious acting and less campiness.
    But that goes against what the filmmakers were trying to do. It was supposed to be campy like the old films but with the best effects. If you watch it in black and white it really feels like a epic film from the 30’s with incredible pacing and effects with all your favorite monsters in one film.

    The "monster" was created by stiching parts of humans together. I always wondered why not take one human only? and - especially - if he was made from more people, where did they find so many corpses of that size?

      In the original novel of Frankenstein (which this is the closest adaptation of Frankensteins monster I've seen) Victor wanted to play god and discover the secret to life. And decided if he was going to make a new life form shouldn't it be better? So he robbed graveyards for months choosing the biggest and best parts making an 8ft tall unstoppable monster. Immediately after he realizes his mistake and it's too late as the monster hates him for not loving his creation. Wendigoon has a fantastic video on the book
