    Excerpt from Wikipedia
    The Fall Guy is a 2024 American action comedy film directed by David Leitch and written by Drew Pearce, loosely based on the 1980s TV series about stunt performers. It follows a stuntman (Ryan Gosling) working on his ex-girlfriend's (Emily Blunt) directorial debut action film, only to find himself involved in a conspiracy surrounding the film's lead actor (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The film also features Hannah Waddingham, Teresa Palmer, Stephanie Hsu, and Winston Duke.
    The Fall Guy premiered at SXSW on March 12, 2024, and was released in the United States on May 3, by Universal Pictures. The film received generally positive reviews from critics and has grossed $66 million worldwide. It also set a Guinness World Record for the most cannon rolls performed in a car.

    0:24 quite right! RW doesn’t get the credit he deserves for kicking this all off, and doing it so well!

    I loved this movie. A perfect continuation from where the original trilogy ended with great new characters and world building. Great review, Andy

    I came out of the cinema an hour ago. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes (2024) is another good movie of the Planet of the Apes Franchise.
    Great Special Effects, amazingly good cinematography and solid acting. The action was also very good.
    I really liked the new characters, especially Raka. He was easily my favourite character in this movie.
    Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar was a good villain. He wasn't on the same level as Koba or The Colonel (Woody Harrelson) but still far superior than Tom Felton and Steven Jacob.
    If I have to nitpick something about the movie then it would be the character of Mae. I couldn't really connect to her character up until to the point where her true intentions were revealed.
    There was a scene that is a reference to the original Planet of the Apes (1968) and it felt too much "Member Berries" for me. I felt like that Leonardo DiCaprio Pointing Meme when I saw it. The filmmakers even reused the same Jerry Goldsmith score in that scene.
    But overall I still really liked this movie.
    If I have to rank it in this Reboot/Prequel Era of the Planet of the Apes Franchise, I liked it better than Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) but it wasn't as great as Dawn or War.

      I liked the movie but it really made no sense. I walked out confused. I kept wondering why Proximus blamed Noah for the issues when he didn't cause any of them.

    Hopefully this movie does well, the theatres really need a hit to stay in business.

      i dont think theaters can survive much longer.. even if this is a hit. the movie industry is a dying business.

    I didn't like it and didn't finish. I liked the first two or three in the reboot franchise (the original ones with Charlton Heston are still the best though) but it started to get too simplistic I feel.

    I would have taken bad practical FX over all the mediocre CG in this series... The originals were fun.

    The prequels were much better than the originals. I'm sure this new trilogy will live up to the same level.

    Just back from watching it. It was not stunning. Why was Proximus blaming Noah for all the issues? It was confusing more than anything.

    • @MovieWorldPlus
      @MovieWorldPlus  Месяц назад

      Blaming him for what? He was using him and his clan… until the end when Noah sided with the humans to over throw him… was quite easy to follow

    • @Mister_Holdsworth
      @Mister_Holdsworth Месяц назад +1

      @@MovieWorldPlus He seemed to blame him for all his woes. Picked him out as special or cleverer than all the other apes without good reason really as he would not have known him long enough to know that he was. You've just met me. How do you know if I'm special or not yet? It didn't do well at establishing any relationships, treated them as if they were old friends.
