First Lights feels so much like 2nd son. While I'm not the biggest fan of the engine due to how it affects the gameplay mechanics, I'm a big inFamous fan and would definitely recommend this along with the the rest of the series.
The visuals are amazing and the abilities are a nice blend between Delsin’s infamous and true hero powers. It’s a small, arguably underdeveloped part of inFAMOUS: Second Son but fully fleshed out and upgraded.

I love First Light! I love how after you get the upgrades, you’re basically flying with the neon dash! I don’t have to do the photon jump over most gaps! But it’s weird how in Second Son, in her memories, she thought her brother stole her drugs, so they got into a fight with him, and accidentally killed him with a neon blast! But in this, it’s a whole different story altogether! Either way, it’s still amazing!
They really removed a part of the game that would make some players replay it 2-3 times?? From a business standpoint… why? Then from a gamer standpoint… why?
@ladmarianondrugs Nah,if we're being honest and just look at the story again,the karma system would be irrelevant to Augustine She doesn't care whether Abigail can be good or bad,she only cared for her abilities and potential to be a dup agent. Another reason is how at that time 2 years before running into Delsin..she was hopped up on dr*gs,which her brother helped stop the abuse of but she was still very inexperienced in controlling her freak outs and neon bursts. At that time she wasn't a vigilante nor villain,only after her brothers last job,did she use her powers again and the rest is the "first light" story. Her true karmic journey is literally connected to whether or not you redeem or corrupt her in second son. *But yes,like usual the light/hero karma is canon

It'd be a very deep and gritty show There are other powered shows out there that have existed, but besides The Boys (probably one of the best shows to exist by the way) there really isn't any majorly good powers shows currently. So this would be one to see. The thing to make this interesting would be more so a series that isn't the games, it's a seperate story, like Second Son and the original Infamous games. That way it's not having to be the games. I think if they do that we have a chance for a majorly worthwhile series to watch
My favorite part about First Light is the Arenas. Being able to just go in and spend some time zipping around and killing enemies is a lot of fun, and helped me master Fetch's abilties. Also super fun to jump into them with Delsin, picking either Karmic side for your abilties. Super fun!
Same. Too bad theres no new game plus. Same for second son, though u can argue its more mandatory in second son where there are no arena battles and there are boss fights. And i have a slight nitpick, but fetch has a line in first light after she beats an enemy thats smth like "u guys are getting ur ass kicked by a middle schooler". Now, that would mean shes around 13-14. Maybe 15. If i understand right, second son takes place 2 years after, so fetch would be 16-17. In ur evil plauthrough delsin could bang fetch. Hes in his early twenties (correct me if im wrong). This is probaly just a slight oversight and im overthinking or the writers were trying to make him a pedo to make evil delsin look worse.
I'd love an augustine dlc, the concrete powers were so undercooked in second son. Maybe flesh out her time with cellia right after infamous 2. Or make a game about cellia herself and her time after escaping and faking her death (i think thats what happened). Since paper powers weren't in second son, even though they made u believe u'd get them. Heck, delsin touches cellia.
First Light was one I plugged A LOT of hours in and didn't want it to end. It is combat and gameplay wise, probably the best if not up there games in the Infamous series
I still think instead of making a game solely about Abigail they should’ve given us the backstory of Eugene and Hank too while making their respective powers more fleshed out.
I always had a soft spot for this game and preffered it over second son, mainly coz neon was my fav power and this game added a lot onto it. I love how u can have slaves now in battle. I love how they largely improved upon the melee combat, which was kind of boring in second son. And the arenas are so fcking great. They even have some extra enemies that aren't featured in second son or first light. Maybe those are enemies from the first two games, but i never got to play them, but me and a lot of other people would get to play them, if ya know... They remastered them?

They did the same with festival of blood, another direct one line story. it's also a prequel so you can't really do that
