This is very helpful. To me it clears up the big question: do I push with the rear leg or pull with the forward. It may not seem important, but I think for a beginner learning to practice, it solves the mystery. When I place my foot forward, I could push with rear leg or pull with forward. How you describe and demonstrate helps tremendously. One comment on the video though, the music can be a bit of a distraction - it's just a bit too loud. Your presentation is excellent.
I'm glad this was helpful. Each style is different, some will put the emphasis on the push, others on the pull. I think keeping within the tradition of the style being trained is important. I'll work on improving the sound of my videos!
@@_eastmountain Thanks for the quick reply. The music in the video is not a killer, just an aside. Most importantly, this is an excellent video, well explained, well demonstrated and clarifies many subtle details. Thanks again.
This video deciphered the core elements of Bagua walking clearly and presented them elegantly. I enjoyed it in both watching and practicing.
Thanks for your kind words. I hope it helps you with your practice.
... very useful. After all these years and all these other RUclips videos, ... finally a "how to" and a "why"!
Glad you found this helpful!
