About Young Sheldon:
It’s 1989 and 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper has skipped four grades to start high school along with his less-intellectual older brother. As he struggles to be understood by his family, classmates and neighbors, his mother arms him with the best tool she can come up with: reminding bullies his dad is the football coach and his brother is on the team. "Sheldon is so upset he's acting like a regular kid" 😂😂😂
Honestly should have gotten him upset more often then
Tam was such a good friend
@@jesjimdeguia7190 tam did nothing wrong tho xD
I wish they’d bring back Tam.
@@DieselD7101 I'd love a reunion. Tam would give Leonard some good info on Sheldon's childhood days. I could see Tam fitting right in Sheldon's current group of friends.
@@TsukabuNosoratori2 He was in the last season of tbbt
After his 1st sleepover, George Sr. feels bad that Sheldon cannot look up to his father as a role model. That moment broke him.
That's sad
Could you explain, I didnt watch everything
Sheldon later caught him in bed with another woman, couldn’t have been too broken over it.
@Yildiz no idea which episode. He explains why he knocks three times to penny in bbt.
@Yildiz that hasn't been released yet.
As a Vietnamese, I gotta say:
- We put no religious items at the entrance, we put them upstairs.
- We do not share towel. Actually we usually dont use towel at dinner table, we prefer napkins
The rests are correct.
i must be a fake Vietnamese, Cuz our religious stuff is in the living room and the great supper picture is in the dining room
Depend on your family. But for Vietnamese Catholic, they do put them in the living room in which is right after you enter the house/entrance. But it should be formal, high up, not so casual as in the clip. The story is set in the pass so these will be new Vietnamese American, in which the living room will be the most decorated room. For richer family they might have a dedicated room for religious act, which is up stair as you said :D.
Also the towel is an odd thing, not every family is the same, maybe the writer took it from one of their friends.
@@speed256x what you said about the towel maybe found true in some cases. still, find it weird to my case though lol. My mother does not let us use our cutleries on communal dishes, never mind use the same towel.
Good points. 75% of Vietnamese do not identify with any religion and only about 7% are Catholic.
@@umihikari5199 yeah, even with bigger ceremony meal, we still have dedicated cutleries for each dishes, use that to put food into your dish. Its hygiene basic :D. My 8yrs daughter have her own dish and cutleries which she has to wash on her own every meal too :D.
I LOVE Tam's character! He's such a perfect balance for Sheldon and he looks amazingly like the adult Tam that is in Big Bang Theory!!
"I'm not a priest".
"I'm not Catholic, it makes perfect sense."
It does from a frame of reference perspective :p but sheldon is a bit arrogant in his proposition as always haha

It's just sad to think they didn't speak for almost 20 years after Sheldon moved to California

The betrayal
As a Vietnamese i never see any family share the towel when dining. We prefer paper napkins in every situations. At home, in vendors, in restaurants, at bar. We always use paper napkins, even in high end restaurants, when they serve towel or dining cloth they still ask for box of paper napkins on the side.
That right, I am Vietnamese too
It was Sheldon being a confused kid. He also assumed all Vietnamese have Catholic iconography
An unfair representation. The writers should have researched.
That’s a nice friendship and cool seeing Vietnamese culture on screen !
Call me whatever you want but I dont blame sheldon for being disgusted by the fact the everyone shares a towel for their mouth🤮
I'm not sure if that's an actual Vietnamese thing to do. My family doesn't do that and I'm Vietnamese.
@@pkdonny1018 I am vietnamese too and i have never met anyone do that.
@@pkdonny1018 i think it was just something this specific family did but with Sheldon being as sheltered as he was he just assumed it was cultural. I mean he's young enough in this scene to confuse it for that.
Nope that’s definitely disgusting 😂
i’m vietnamese and that sh!t disgusts me too man. i don’t know what family do that but i know mine and the majority i have known have never done that before
Tam is such a good friend
As a Vietnamese, ever time I have a sleepover, ever kid makes a Sheldon face.🤣🤣🤣🤣
The acting when he eats is incredible!!!
omg i miss Tam in Young Sheldon! Its been so long! Hopefully he can appear in one of the upcoming episodes 🥰🥰
@Christopher Bingham yeah agreed!
Yeah Tam was a real one idk why they just wrote him out
Yah, Sheldon doesn't show his old time friends in the Big Bang Theory. Not once, did he tried to contact any of his old friends or teachers. It showed bad script .
@@jetx2599Congrats! He appears in the last episodes of Young Sheldon in S7
Just to clarify…us Vietnamese don’t do the one towel thing…that’s just Tam’s house…
"Mrs Tam's Mom" 🤣🤣🤣
Whatever be the situation, if I had been in Sheldon position at dining table, I would have never took that towel to wash my mouth and hand.
No bowel movement for several days then a meal heavy on the fish sauce, that has to be how the "Shelly Cooper is a stinky pooper" saying came about.
Ha!
As a Vietnamese person
We do not put up Religious stuff around our house
We do not use a towel for everyone
I do everything else but I got lazy at age 8 and stopped washing my hands, I’m the only person in my family to use a fork and spoon as everyone else uses chopsticks and I hate fish sauce
It depends on the Vietnamese family
as an vietnamese I confirm that we use fish sauce on food all the time💀
Even on the fish.
@@postmodernmining 😂 😂
And it's good AF
@@postmodernminingEspecially on the Fish!!! So delicious.
I actually miss Tam. I don't see him much in Season 4/5
3:55 theyre so cute and great 😂❤
I am like Sheldon. I carry some family secrets since the young age that are so heavy on me.
I'm vietnamese and we barely use napkin at all (and we definitely don't use one towel) Like...don't make a mess and just wash your hands and face/mouth again after eating.
Tam has a nice place
1:25 “Seriously, what are they thinking?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Sheldon
I see those bowls in every vietnamese house. My family has them, but we only use them when we have family over. I only learned how to use chopsticks when I was 11 and my older brother still doesn't know how.
Is no one going to talk about how cute young tam is!? He seems so innocent and cute but ik He's a bit of a pervert but still 😂🥺
huhhh wdym
“I forget you my son”😅😂😂😂😂
3:15 man has a batman poster on his wall but he does not know what a traumatic experience is
Well by asking "what do you mean?"it seems like Tam was trying to clarify the details of the traumatic experience and not what a traumatic experience is.
@@Gamycodes I guess your right
@@Gamycodesexactly. What do you mean is a common way to ask someone to elaborate more.
If you want to test it, try to offend someone vaguely or accuse them of something. About 30 to 50 percent will ask what you mean
02:56 It's a secret. A secret. Something between me and you 😂
“I forgive you my son” lol
"Now can we play our game?" Kids can be so funny.
1:53 Omg, I remember when they started putting sugar on the raisins!
Bruh my dad has the same shoes as Sheldon lol
I just watched a documentary on the Hot Chocolate Nutcracker, and Tam’s actor Ryan Phuong is a phenomenal dancer!!!
OMG. That pillow case. We had the same sheets!
Sheldon at the end there that’s me every time I need to use the bathroom😊
A SECRET
A SECRET 😂😂💀
I love Meemaw!
0:08 Chudák Sheldon! 😢😢😢😢😢😢😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
And now everyone thinks Vietnamese share one wet towel at the table 😭
All asian families I heard of and met do not use the same towel to wipe themselves. Whoever wrote that episode needs to be fired. That kind of cultural misinformation can be taken seriously by people.
The rest of the info is more or less true. As for the religious stuff, I've seen them upstairs or near the entrance or both even.
I met Latino and Muslim families who prefer to take off their shoes at home. Even some whites do that. Not just Asians.
Nah, we don't...
Bruh, the scene where Tam offers to take Sheldon's confession as a Catholic priest and then assumes the position is not something you wanted to hear in the background when working in another tab... Had to stop the video, pause and rewatch to make sure...
Lol
Tam is great
really? in Vietnam we did not use the shared towel lol. Could you double-check that fact?
I think it's only with Tam's family. :))
Special Special 😍
As an Indian, i feel some of the cultures are same with vietnamese, we keep our shoes out, we share the same towel to dry our washed hands and we give the best things to our guests like best plates, best glasses, best bed and room.
Dude half the Indians don't use dining tables and most of us don't have ANY towels at the table, we wash our hands. What are you talking about?
@@how-about-no_56 i mean towel , after eating, we wash our hands then we use towel to dry our hands. And in our house also we sit down together for lunch & dinner.
@@mohindra_yarlagadda I thought you meant the way Tam's family used the towel. My bad.
@@mohindra_yarlagadda I thought you were talking about the way Tam's family used the towel. My bad.
When Sheldon entered Tam's house, I knew there was either going to be a statue of Amitabha Buddha and/or Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva....or a crucifix!!
Should have been the image of his recently departed ancestors
I’m a Vietnamese and i never met anyone who share a towel at the table… we use napkins!!!
Im not vietnamese but i cant see this being a real thing
Vietnamese-Catholic households are always COMPLETELY decked out with religious items.
That's some funny $#!+ !!!
wth ? TOWEl?????we never use the towel =))

Tomorrow morning Thursday
One towel! Oh. I don't think I'd do well there. And doesn't everyone keep their shoes outside the door?
Depends on the household. Growing up we just kept our shoes on usually. My dad would put on sandals after his post-work nap when up around 8pm to watch sports before going back to bed for his early shift, but otherwise we all kept our shoes on if we wanted unless our feet hurt or were sweaty then we would take them off
Hello Mrs Tams Mom
YOUNG SHELDON COOPER
I am not a priest, I'm not Catholic. Ok, lets have at it.
Judging by the comments, both young sheldon and tbbt have a hard time when it comes to proper research on asian cultures
In Ireland we just wipe our face with our hand
No family uses the same wet cloth to wipe their hands and mouth lol wtf
Was he the guy in flashback of Leonard meeting Sheldon the Asian who asked are you new roommate. “Run fast run far”
Yep.
no it's not. tam was Sheldon's best friend in high school and he did not move to California with Sheldon.
the room mate in Leonard's flashback is a different guy
@@sara2141You were wrong. Tam was fine with Sheldon, Sheldon got upset as he wanted Tam to move to California with him as he felt scared and alone with no friends, but Tam stayed in Texas as he met his future wife.
IF that is Vietnamese, I am not Vietnamese. 1 towel for your face? How expensive is the towel?
Who the hell shared one napkin? Wtf? Whats the point of taking off shoes, wash hands n face only to defile urself with the same towel. Mind blown 😂😂
ONE TOWEL????
I'm Vietnamese so
-we do put religious items up (not god or Jesus )
-we don't use one tower we use paper or napkins
-and the fish salt is correct and another popular seasoning is soy sauce

Nobody has ever suggested that they are all alike.

Wrong!!! Taking your shoes off in an Asians home means do not bring your personal problems into my house!!! Do not question a man's patience until you take a walk in their shoes
Can somebody explain to me what’s happening
@Christopher Bingham oh ok thank you
Musk definitely has an anonymous youtube account and has definitely commented here but we will never know
What was the secret?
that’s an ungodly amount of fish sauce. Tam is gonna need dialysis in a month or two.
what was teh secret?
Really Werewolf Saucer ?
From Druze Gullistan 1794 ?

I’m kinda like Sheldon except without the knowledge
annie potts is still hot! ahahahhaha
The moral of the story is that if a person is constipated and you have tried everything you should try Jesus and drink some holy water from a Catholic church and go to a confessional after doing so you will be able to express your bowels freely
I love how you think.
