Also I really like that you talk about and explain older board game "Gems". And you do it in a pedagogical and structured way. Subscribing of course.
Well, there was, in a manner of speaking. Look on the aftermarket for Beowulf: The Movie: The Board Game. (A mouthful, I know.) Remember Beowulf: The Movie? Not many do I think! I have the game, haven't tried it, but it does what you say. Each of the three rounds plays on a different map, and different tiles come into play.
We have a virtual "kingdoms of markana" game tomorrow, a team activity scheduled so thought will check it out in advance, great explanation and very interesting game, I'm now planning to purchase the board game😄 maybe you could post the where to buy link!
It doesn't sound like that's the same game! Kingdoms is indeed a pretty generic title. 🙂 A lot of the games I cover are old and out of print, and Kingdoms is no exception. There are LOTS of used copies floating around, especially of the second edition (in the back in the video thumbnail). That edition's playable but not much to look at. Third edition (in the foreground) looks much better, but a bit harder to find (at least it can be, among the tonnes of older copies out there). I'm not one for strategy tips, sorry!

I played this last night with 3 players and I tied for 1st with 212 points. The rules don't say how to break ties and i didnt find it on bgg. Do you know?

Just found this game for cheap at a thrift store, bought it on impulse, looks like a good choice.

When scores can go that high, ties are rare. At that point I wouldn't even bother with a tiebreaker. A draw is an exciting end to a close game!
